  • Good singing and well orchestrated. Not my fave tune but they make it. Boyz r Jealous methinks

  • This group does not need males, it needs females bass singers, it works more smoothly

  • Great job Ladies!

  • I like it, but like others said, this song needs guys, especially bass. It lacks so much depth otherwise.

  • "The sexy Pitches" that made me laugh

  • Yay New Paltz!!! I saw "The Sexy Pitches" and was like "wait..."

  • I agree @Meanmotherfkr about the basses, but I think there's already some lower singers. It's just hard to hear.

  • Nice job ladies. One of my favorite songs.

  • the loudest voice in there is terrible. very immature sounding, kick her ass to the curb bro

  • That lowest alto sounds amazing, I can't believe she can hit those low notes.

  • all my songs are a cappelle by me, come take a look

  • So many voices, yet so little harmony :(

  • The Sexy Pitches, like Bitches... GET IT? HA..... Dear me.

  • Wow. Are there any girls who are actually lower than an an alto. I know I am. This is actually really sad i think.

  • Don't get me wrong, but sounds great, just needs more blending... and some men.

  • Movements... parts too loud...

  • can't say I enjoyed this version. the lyrics speak for themselves, there's no need to yell it.

  • This song had me at "sexy pitches"

  • wow, sounds rly amazing, i believe they've had to put a lot of hard work in it.

  • a litttttle sharp but otherwise sounds good

  • They're good, but the blending could be worked on.

  • wow, way too many divas, and not enough vocal support, it sounds like a bunch of chicks singing the exact same flat note, and not enough harmony

  • you had me with the group name!

i have a version of this for brass on soundcloud.

  • which girl is singing the blood and tears bit?

  • @jessicadarlingx - Looks like the fourth girl from the left (our left). You can usually tell by how they move. It looked to me like she took a deep breath right before that part and stood up much straighter so they she could hit the note. And also the words match her mouth. =P

I think she did a very nice job.

  • @dembonez19 oh i thought it was the small girl in the middle! been trying to figure it out for ages

  • @jessicadarlingx

4th from the left i think. That's some note!

  • youre so great! :) go on girls!

  • kinda sounds like a barbershop version does it not..with the intense harmonies...not saying it was bad just noticed that :)

  • Needs a conductor... and less chest voice. Not to shabby :o)

  • Hehe... to help with blending, try using the open mouth method in singing. Instead of stretching your mouths horizontally to form vowels, try to drop your jaws and sing the vowels with the same shape mouth.

We have vocal warm ups without this method and then with this method, and you can really see the difference.

  • not very good blending at all.

  • @funwiththefunk You can tell that instead of trying to blend, some of them attempt to be the best one out there. A common thing with women singers and dancers.

Thats not to say guys dont have that problem, its just more common in women.

  • Brilliant.. :)

  • very bad blending but still pretty.... just work on blending.

  • HAHA, WTH! No one on the stage is singing the high "blod and tears"?!?!?!

  • I agree with another reviewer that this doesn't seem to work well with all girls. More bass grounding is needed. Also, the blending is off in several instances - some of the harmonies become overpowering and the melody gets lost. There is an all male a capella group video on YouTube that I feel performs this piece near perfectly. That being said, it sounds like a difficult arrangement and I'm sure it was a great learning experience for those involved! Kudos for the attempt.

  • Best A cappella name ever.

  • I really like this version! And I LOVE the name :D

  • the best choral version of this song that ive heard on youtube.

  • Look up "Hide and Seek Jdfrizzell"

Performed by the Briarcrest High School's One Voice, It's the best Hide and Seek out there.

If you like, join our facebook group: OneVoice

  • @TheSlimer13 haha shameless plug much?

  • Great work!!!

  • woww,you girls are AMAZINGGGG! :)

  • I Like How There's Not A Whole Lot Vibrato, I've Seen This Done Before, And The Vibrato Killed It.

  • makes me wonder why every word starts with BIG letter :P "I Like How There's Not,..."

  • totally agree, when it's done by vocoder (a digital harmonizer or pitcher) e.g. the original done by Imogen Heap, they do not respond well to vibrato, they kind of go all over the place. They're designed to respond to pitch rather than vibrato so when you get big harmonics like this acapella it sounds much much better without vibrato.

  • whoever was singing highest was great, at times the lower bass sounds went flat where people couldnt quite get low enough, and i agree with meanmotherfkr (lol) that it loses impact without a lower male voice at least. But surprisingly good : )

  • I just watched the Valencia High School Choir sing this song.... you guys are so much better! Not an easy song to sing.

  • hey ive been trying to find music for this song for my choir for like 3 years where did you get it?

  • you have a super strong alto part, kind of over shadows everyone else.

  • listen to the low end!!! EPIC WIN!!

  • wow, this is great! i wish it didn't stop so early!

  • good, but ended too early!

  • i like that there is a really good blend of the parts. other parts have either the top or the bottom too loud. this is really great.

  • I like it all the voices blend perfectly not just one voice sticks out. :O

  • doesn't work with all girls. You need some basses in there. It loses it's umph. But good job

  • @Meanmotherfkr I think it's possible. Hard as all hell to find excellent altos, though.

  • @Meanmotherfkr lol the original is all girl(s)

  • @Meanmotherfkr You must have shitty speakers. The bottom parts are definitely there.

  • @Kickerinthehead

    Don't talk shit.

I've got a 1200 dollar professional musicians set by JBL here and there's a complete lack in low and midlow which is to be expected with an all female choir.

  • the top note is actually gorgeous

  • i actually love how this doesnt have all the harmony. all the other versions on you tube have so many different parts that are really loud and they overpower the melody.

  • though i'd prefer all the harmony, but actually balanced well

  • Kind of messy, but good pitch

  • cut off right before the great part darn

  • awesome!

  • perfect harmony

  • aw! i wish it didnt stop on that part at the end!

the "mm what you say" part is my favortie part lol

you did an amazing job =]

whoever hit the high note i give props and you outfits look very cool. I noticed you all had a red ribbon which ties together your black outfits even if they aren't the same. Great idea =]

  • i wish you had the whole song. otherwise one of the best groups i've heard.

  • very good job! :D

  • Decent attempt to spell decent.

  • aaahahaahaha

  • Descent attempt. This group needs more altos for the harmony. This song is all about the harmony.

  • AMAZING, love this song, love ur voices

  • Very good...but the Achordants - Hide and Seek is still the best I have heard yet, and they are an all guy group!

  • i would have gone up an octave or how ever you spell it.. but this is probably the only remake of h&s that i like. good job!

  • Amazing. Amazing on so many levels. gorgeous.... Fuck. Wow.

  • skipped a verse

  • good grief. I dont even hear this kinda harmony at my university!!!! this is so well harmonized altos are great, sopranos great, low voices great. Only thing I can hear is tuning occassionally not much though and make sure ya'll start and end at the same time. Figure out where and when to breath better. I know this is a hard song but my goodness ya'll did AMAZING!!!!

  • these women are so talented!!!

  • decent. check out UO Divisi's version

  • great.. love it <3

  • WoW ......!!!!

  • FOR THE HORDE!! lol..

This is pretty good, well done

  • This is absoloutely wonderful!!!! It is probably the best "hide and seek" I've ever heard. Get it girls!!!

  • You should hear the Achordants version

  • they are the best so far i think

  • never heard a female ensemble do this... surprisingly, very little is lost in context as far as bass sound goes (rock the alto power!). so far this is the best balance ive heard in an a cappella ensemble, and also the fewest intonation problems. great job high soprano, keeping it nice and light up in the stratosphere. i would take the tempo down, but i understand you probably took it faster to preserve intonation. a great arrangement, though sometimes the melody is lost. good job ladies!

  • true, but it would add more dynamics with two bass people, it would also help the bending in notes, but i aggree with you in what you said.

  • nice glissando at 1:08

  • It sounded almost like QUEEN right there.

  • It's really good but you can't do this song with a womens choir you need MEN to sing the bass and baratone part it just sounds better and takes more of the organ sounding effect

  • The girl that sings the higher notes voice really stands out and its amazing!!.

  • It's always interesting to see, somewhere around 2:00-2:30, who will be the lamb that gets stuck on that high note solo. So far this girl is the best with pitch, timing, and her ability to sustain that note.

  • i believe that's the girl rigth at the rigth side, the one who ocationaly directs the rythm.

  • Why-o-why does it stop on the best part?!

  • beautiful :)

  • I love the high note in this song.

  • Their notes are great, but they're singin too fast. As many other groups also do.

  • definitely agree!

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this.

  • that was one of the best covers iv heard on this song

  • THIS IS SO AMAZING!!! i have heard this song with groups so many times and this is the first decent one that I heard. You girls are right on the money. good job. no... GREAT job! keep singing!

  • 1:09 wow.

  • Agreee. wonderful

  • this is really good. the sopranos did a great job.

  • this was WONDERFUL!!!!!

so amazing. i wish i could get a group like this together. this is so freaking fabulous ^-^

i made a sort of cover too... go check it out? (:

  • best cover on youtube!!

    :)

    good job.

gutted your whole version isn't on here :/

  • awsome....really perfect

  • nicely done !

  • please I am in a high school choir but we want to do this song. If you could tell me where you got this music I would be very grateful.

  • Sorry, I have no idea where this music group got their music.

  • thanks anyway

  • the song is by Imogen Heap and it's called Hide & Seek...

  • lol, i don't think that's what she was asking.

(also, that's in the description box.)

  • @chocolatemooses

imogen heap - hide and seek ;)

  • @chocolatemooses my high school's jazz group (onevoice, you can find our arrangement on youtube by searching onevoice hide and seek) did it, but our director had to arrange it for us, took him forever and he is a theory beast. So I don't think it would be easy to find, but then again, he may not have looked very hard.

  • @chocolatemooses we make our own arrangements! woo! and we usually dont write anything down

  • @chocolatemooses

    are you serious dude... what

  • it's distracting for a member so close to the audience to be making movements that take away from the experience.

  • may i suggest to put the director of the piece in the middle of the group and use subtle head nods to indicate breaths and entrances.

  • you kick soultice's ass

  • GREAT HARMONIES!!!!

  • Imogen Heap - Hide and seek

  • WHER DID YOU GET THE MUSIC?

i am in an acapella group and we want to do it so badly!

  • i love it.

  • love this song and great job singing everyone

  • i dont get how people hit the blood and tears part, well for a guy, it stops at the highness of the b in blood

  • Great, but where's the ending?

  • please please please where can I find/ buy the arrangement for this! it's stunning!

  • beautiful, girls, really well done! i love it specially in long achords like in 1:07-1:12

if you wouldn't use "vibratto" it would sounds better because when u didn't use it I really can hear harmonies, dinamics and achords very clearly but not when using "vibratto"

  • the high note in "blood and tears" is AMAZING!"

  • I agree, nice soprano.

  • thats so good!

  • amazing =D brings a tear to my eye =]

  • Really really good, those girls have some amazing voices. =)

  • wow, there's a lot fo haters commenting here. first of all both a cappella groups at new paltz are comprised of people who are not music majors and do this for fun. also it's their own interpretation... if you don't like SEW-ING-MACHINES, then get a group together and sing it yourself.

    love and miss you girls!!!

  • this was really well done. nice job!!!

  • wow... very harmonious...

  • Wow. this is so cool. great dynamics and the disonance gives me chills.

  • Wow... You know what? This is better than a lot of the "professional" videos i've seen up here. And you guys look so young too... very impressive work. There were only like 2 mistakes, and they were so subtle.

  • Good stuff, a lovely interpretation and some real moments of clear beauty when some of the voices stood out in the high-notes =) Just wish you'd filmed all of it XD

  • There are one or two voices that are singing too loud first of all.

Second of all, please don't shout "SEW-ING MA-CHINES" at me, find somewhere else to crescendo.

Other than that it was a really nice arrangement and it was sung pretty well (could have used some guys though in my opinion).

  • LMAO i love you! your so right, they totally yell at you lmao, your very knowledgable (sp?) about music. i really respect that. =)

  • this is beautiful it gave me goosebumps.

    these girls sing beautifully

  • pretty sweet

  • Good, but I really think you need some bass in there. It's not this fast or high-pitched. Slow down and add some weinerfest in there. :)

  • ...it's a women's singing group.

  • congratulations!

  • brava!

if ratings werent disabled i wouldve given it 5*s!!

  • its kinda interesting how they can mimic the octave changing effect on the girl's voice

  • Analogue vocoder. ha. This is really good!

  • that was very nice

and i like the group name... the sexy pitches? hah thats awsome

  • wow pretty awesome

  • The best Version is from Imogen Heap...

  • really? thats a smart thing to say, cause SHE MADE it

  • haha

did you know that thats her song?...

  • I'm with embrezar on this one...

    This is lovely=)

  • hahaha I like this!

  • i liked it

    [except for the cut off]

  • Although I agree with some of the other comments that it sounds oversung in some parts, this is a great arrangement. Frankly, it's nice to hear a female group put a little power behind its notes. Most groups sing this song like a high school choir, where the melody gets lost in the harmony. But you guys, like the USC Sirens, actually bring out the lead melody. Very nice.

  • I agree on all counts!

    Em

  • v gud

  • Uh, am I mistaken or does this cut off right at the good part that everyone likes??

  • True....oops

  • yikes!

  • awesome job job girls! definately one of the better arrangements i've heard

  • i wanted to watch this, but was afraid my own school's version would be trifled, but it's still better ( in my opinion). THis is a good version too - just a difference in style. loud vs. soft. search "bls wolfettes hide and seek"!!

  • Nope, sorry, I disagree, this version is better than yours. Better production, and better video.

  • I love the unisons after big harmonies...effiective...advice:

sing a bit slower for effect,

    dont oversing,

and pronounce "Cant" with an "A" intead of a "U"

    :P

  • Well done, this is a difficult song. One suggestion: on the louder parts, don't push or it sounds overdone. The quiet parts were beautiful, so focus on the same tone quality with more volume. Overall a lovely job.

  • You did a very nice job staying together. One suggestion: when the song gets louder, don't push it or it sounds overdone. The quiet parts are beautiful though, so focus on the same tone with more volume.

  • incredible
