At 0:02 you ionize Hydrogen, then at 1:02 you ionize Hydrogen again, with a different color. Why is this? Are you sure the second one is Hydrogen and not Xenon?

@MadManMarkAu I'm not sure, it may be related to the color balance setting on the camera. Both tubes are factory labeled as Hydrogen.

@ubuntupokemoninc I've seen iodine vapor. The spectrum looks very spread. You don't have thin lines like in the case of hydrogen, helium, argon.There are also iodine based gas lasers.
