  • the distorted & synthetic clarinet is great

  • AKA "Vor dem Blauen bock", as bonustrack on the "Organisation -Tone Float" bootleg cd

  • Who knew Geddy Lee played drums for Kraftwerk in 1971?

  • This Video is no rarity at all. The song's original title is "Rückstossgondoliere" and was originally released on DVD "Beat Club - The Best of '71" by Radio Bremen in 1997. Since then, there were many re-releases on DVDs themed on Krautrock. What makes this special is, that this is an official release. The original duration time of this beautiful video/song is 11:23 minutes. That video here is an edit.

  • Geniuses..they revolutionized music. Open new paths for so many other good artists.

  • @grazzi67 Well, some good, some bad. It also opened up paths for hacks like Lady gag as well.

  • @laromande: The guitarist is Michael Rother and he left Kraftwerk in 1972 I think. In fact, Autobahn was recorded 1974 and Michael Rother and the drummer Klaus Dinger wasn't in the Band anymore.

  • this music formed my life as a kid... thx for this gem..

  • Fantastic!

  • Where's Ralf?!

  • @schaffersonjetplane: Ralf Huetter left Kraftwerk for a few month in this time to finish his architecture studies.

  • was the guitarist still in the band when they recorded autobahn?

  • Cool,he was playing through and old Sound City amplifier....I had one once myself.

  • @ixis99

kann man so welche immer noch kaufen?

can you still buy this sort of amplifies?

  • beautiful

  • La calidad del video es excelente :D

  • Wow, I seriously NEVER thought I'd see this...

  • never thought kraftwerk could sound like fairport convention!..very similar to, a sailors life,...no bad thing...!

  • @shakyman01

The worst thing about what you said is that it's true :( Dammit.

  • @thedarkarse It's not a bad thing, Fairport are a great band! I was kinda shocked to hear this as well, have never listened to any of their really really early stuff

  • @gargh

Yeah but....beardy folkie, 'trad' pipe-and-slippers music on the one hand and futuristic, experimental robotic 'kraut' music on the other hand & never the twain shall meet.

Well there goes THAT theory anyway..guess there's no hard cut off point between 1 category of music & another.

  • @thedarkarse

The guitarist and the drummer went on to form Neu! and their three albums revolutionised rock music, or so I think.

  • @uktransplantedyank yepp :)

  • What a joy it would have been to be there! Alas born 10 years too late :-(

  • love this .... a rare find

  • It's the improvisation that matters

  • Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No other way to describe it! This decade was when music was music.......................... These guys were innovators... did their own thing... unique had their own style.... classic stuff right here!

  • meine lieblingszeit von Kraftwerk oder NEU! mit Florian Schneider....
