The large problem I have with this group, and I've seen a number of their songs, is that no one listens to each other. Each is so engrossed in his own performance and being comical that he doesn't listen to the guy next to him. This soloist has no breath support and either goes flat when trying to sing high stuff in chest voice, or can barely be heard. They need to spend more time in rehearsal truly blending their voices than figuring out what move will make a girl go, "Woo!" Good luck.

I'm a huge fan of the group, and I love the extraneous crap, I really do.

But I think yuo do have a point. In order to be a better group professionally, better listening would be good.

But I think OOTB cares more about having fun than anything else, so I'm for the extras.

As my old chorus instructor once told me, his best Tenor I's are his best Bass II's. Clearly this group's got it right, because that's a range of, what, 3 octaves? Couldn't sing that high if I got castrated.
