  • Hiya m8 wats the name of the gel - carp care wat gary is using on the ghosty.Keep up the cracking angling tight lines...

  • Propolis

go to the premiumcarpfishing website for it

  • Atleast they look like the Ultrons :P

  • I know you have delkims now but what were the Fox ultrons like ... Any good ? =]

  • They were as good as the delkims and cost £80 less each to buy than delkims.

AND they gave you a nice one-toner sound when they went off

Unlike the delkims which make an awful two-tone warbbling racket!!!

Hate em and am getting rid on ebay i think....

Delkims are a rip off as far as i am concerned and your just paying for features that you dont need and a name........

  • Nice blog there fella remineds me of why we go.

I remember when i was a very little kid i used to sneak out of the house to go night fishing.

Totally unprepared i simply took a rod/tin of worms, jam butty and a blanket!

    Crazy!

I am still just as driven and love the wonderous adventure just as much, but i am a little more prepared now!

    Tight lines buddy.

  • hi steve,me and a friend took the 3 hours journey to fenland a few weeks back, after watching your videos we thought what the hell.we could of gone the usual Bluebell, linear etc but we liked the look of willow. I had a cracking session fishing peg 20 taking 5 carp to 21,3 and 5 cats to 26 well please with the session as i'd never caught a cat previous.we will definately be going back later in the year. thanks again steve and also mike oh and we met a terrific bloke called brian(CAPTAIN) thanks

  • Good stuff lads pleased you had a good time.

Brain (if we are thinking of the same east end cockney) is one of the old syndicate fellas and is a diamond.

In fact they are alll good lads and i did enjoy willow i have to say.

Mike the owner is a top fellow and a carper so the place is run sweet.

  • not been fishing for a couple of years but this is a nice reminder of why I loved it so much for 15 years. fantastic, charismatic presentation....tight lines my friend :)

  • Its a large lake and the maximum allowed to book at any one time is 6 anglers so loads of room and stacks of fish.

  • Alllrighter steve, mate your gonna empty that lake of all the bigguns lol, best lookin fish ive seen in a long time.

    p.s lmao "i had 30lb and a 20lb cat" blarzae (sp).

  • He! He! there are loads of cats in there so not so blasé just normal for Willow besides they are not my favourite fish tbh.

    Cheers mate

  • Thats more like it mate, well done steve, very much deserved! Always welcome to have all that hard work paid off eh!!?

  • Alright there fella glad your still tuning in!

Yes a cracker and more to come!

  • Of course buddy, I always look forward to your blogs matey! Especially as I haven't been able to fish lately due to a house move etc!

  • That 29 Lb fish was Stunning. Well done. You deserve it!!

  • Thx mate nowt like praise from your peers.

That fish made me look good i have to say just stunning eh.

  • nice vid mate like normal!

  • cheers!

    like normal:)

  • Beautiful fish, Great video., again! Great to see people who care as much about the fish's health as about catching them. I think in the states that is the single hardest point to get across to people during my workshops/derbies, that the carp is not only worthy of fishing for but worthy of our respect.

Most days when I'm fishing people stop by and ask what I'm catching, I say " got into a few, 15 or so pounds.."

They say " O really? They bass?",

"Carp." I reply. "O.." they say and walk away.

  • Your doing a good job it will take time though.

Most anglers in this country thought that the carp was uncatchable 50 years ago.

Evolution works, carp will take over:)

  • as usual ste a great blog with great fish, well done that man

  • thx fella it's a good un eh.

  • Well done mate what a cracking looking fish.

Bet your flying high catching superb lunkers like that what a stunner nice one chap,

  • flying high

yes mate it was a night to remember, as you will see.

  • wow. what a fish. another great 5* blog. keep em coming. :)

  • Cheers for the support dude

  • Cracking fish Steve well done mate.

  • Thx

It is a really cracking fish eh.

This is one of our 'Premium Carp' stocked into the lake early on in the year and boy they don't half go!

DO YOU WANT SOME OF THESE AMAZING CARP IN YOUR LAKE?

Get your fishery manager to give Gary or Mike a ring at Premium we have lots! and they are growing biger and biger every day:)

  • well done Steve well deserved , great blog again , keep it up! tight lines and wet nets to all ,

    Keith

  • Thanks very much mate glad you enjoyed the blog, me thinks you will defo enjoy next weeks 'thrilling' (erm) instalment.

  • Nice one! Good fish that, I like yer mates use of Propolis (you couldnt pronounce it) :-) Its a natural product that is secreted by Honey Bees to seal up drafts and the like in their hives. It has excellant antiseptic properties and ideal for the fish, 1st time i've seen it used in the angling world. And sausages again... Nowt but a varied diet eh??!!

  • In our defence!:)

Both gary and I need to wear glasses to read so that is why we could not read the label.

Propolis is available from me for £10/bottle if you want some.

It will be up on the premium carp fishing website today.

Sausages yes but! different flavour sausages tho:)

  • Now thats what its all about!

What you said about not pushing yourself when your with company, if this is what you consider not pushing the usual high standards then god help the 40's in that lake.

    Another outstanding blog.

  • ahhh but i was back on my own by then as gary vacated that swim eh.

I spent at least 1 1/2 hours just using the smartcast and a light lead finding the precise area to place my bait.

THAT made ALL the difference in the world.

The orig big mirror has been out and it's consistantly 37lb+ so I think we will have to wait for one of the Premium Carp to hit 40.

The Spacehopper I had at 36.2 will be a 40 soon enough tho:)

  • well done mate,another result!

  • Cheers wait till you see the rest of the night!:)

  • What a nice looking lump. I want one lol

    Top blogging mate

  • Carp fishing, how hard can it be?

Go get some big fella, come and visit Willow i will take you round and furnish you with my bait.

    Ring Mike and book up:)

    Cheers bud.

  • great blog as normal. glad too see the hard work is paying off for you mate, just hope im that luucky. keep up the good work.

  • Hard work not luck mate, luck catches the odd fish and the evening is far from over:)

However I have to say that we do all feel fortunate (lucky) when we catch beauts like this eh.

So for sure, be lucky eh.
