it's also pretty angled. The reader seems very long but at 2:25-2:30 you turn the device, and it looks square, hardly recognizable that it's the same device...
Too bad you can't really see anime pdf's...
you'll need a 720x1024 reader preferably to read them fine. At the moment those 9" devices are pretty expensive.
hey i have a question, i have a sony ebook reader, i've been wanting to upload manga to the device... my question is how did you ideally arrange the order of the manga? considering it doesnt really like zip? (i havent tried) or use folders...
For a fair judgement, you can see the review here: hightech[dot]afmag[dot]net/reading-manga-and-comics-on-the-sony-reader-the-definitive-review.html I've posted some high-quality pictures on the reader displaying manga, comics and such
The video is too bright to see... I can't make a fair judgement. And to answer the last poster it does not have a back light due to the e-Ink technology, it's like Magna-doodle when you were a kid. It is pricey, but not too pricey compared to say, a laptop or a high-end palm. iLiad is 1,000 bucks (though it is superior). I've considered picking one up myself
thanks for the insight, janelitte. i have been looking at getting one of these for scanlations as well but after trying it out on my own at the Sony store I ran into some of the issues you show here and it really helps to have someone else chime in on this issue.

There are better ones for anime, but they are much more expensive, and their battery don't last very long.
The Irex Iliad might be the first e-ink device out there.
Give it 6 months and Netronics will have the 'perfect' device for anime.

is the screen back-lit? can you read in the dark? Still for $350, what a rip.
