@Laneybosh It's medieval fantasy. It only takes one arrow if you hit the right spot. Humans in Tolkien's books were a bit more tougher than we actually are (for example: soem kings in LotR actually lived hundreds of years.).
bromir is so brave one arrow he's fighting but the third arrow he's dead so so sad :,( the music goes well with this moment :( "cry cry cry cry cry cry"
I disagree about saying that borimir is better than farimir because I think they r both equal I think it's unfair that farimir has to almost die so he can get denathors attention and love s please reply anyone
I actually played BFME I's campaign first before I watched this movie or read any of the books. It's what got me into LOTR. However... this scene actually made me shed a tear as Bormir died because I never expected it coming (seeing as how he never died in the campaign)
So passes Boromir, son of Faggot Denethor. Btw, I really loved Boromir who had regained his honour as a man, by dying to save others. :D so sad he died cheaply
When I waz young I didn't really like Boromir, and didn't really feel much towards hiz death. Now, it's the complete opposite, he got back up, each time, and kept fighting, and in the end, had a true warrior's death.
Didn't Boromir die because he tried to kill Frodo after swearing to protect him? Like Gollum died because he swore to protect Frodo. I think that was Tolkien's sort of idea
this scene is a forshadow! when aragorn and boromir are in that one room with the broken sword.......when boromir touches it he bleeds and when aragorn touches it he doesnt bleed. its forshawdowing cuz its basically kindof telling boromir will die in that movie!!!!i just noticed that
I couldn't agree with you more, PLEASE STOP BUTCHERING THIS SCENE YOUTUBE POSTERS, it's fine just the way it is originally, why do people constantly have a need to corrupt movie scenes by introducing their "creativity" into them.
I still like the original ST better... Boromir is the biggest lost in the trilogy, alongside Theoden. When Gandalf falls in Khazad Dum, you still have a feeling that he will, somehow, come back and help the others sometimes later, but when Boromir fells, it really seems that all hope has fade... As with Boromir, Theoden's death makes the victory of Pelenor bittersweet and grims, once again, the outcome of the war. I consider them, both, the bravest characters.
if there really is a maker of all that is, I could only pray to die so honorably as Boromir. My life may have been in vain and in sin, but let there be a trace of honor and glory in my death, then all shall not have been in vain

Boromir is one of those rarely well acted characters who brings to light the entire nature of the character.
Boromir was a man, not Dunedain, just a man. He fell to temptation of the One Ring, but regained his honor by upholding the true nature of a warrior: To die fighting for others, and not one's self.
A noble image of the viking/knight can be seen in Boromir, he fights with every ounce of vigor, and at the same time strives to be honorable and serve good for his country. My fav char.
@BioHunter1990 You do know that the guy who plays Boromir (Sean Bean) is in the royal shakespear company right? Basically the most prestigious group in theatre. The perform for the queen.
@cmoeller3 No i do have to listen to it, because i'm trying to watch the video and i get tricked into listening to this. In other words i have no choice other than to be tricked.
this is so strange! I was listening to adagio for strings! for AGES like just before I decided to find boromirs death scene and here I find a fan video with the song in :P very strange especially after I thought 'hmmm this would've gone well with the lord of the rings' hahaha
nooooooooooooooooob lurtz he cilled him with his bow he hadnt the strainght to defeat him in a battle with swords!!!plus he had an large mount of army!!!
@nikoshaskas Every shot hit home, on a moving target surrounded by your own men... thats no mean feat!!!! As an archer I can do it but the average person would find that very difficult.
The Orcs are like me in Pokemon. When an attack doesn't work, just keep hittin' em with it till they fall.
