I actually played BFME I's campaign first before I watched this movie or read any of the books. It's what got me into LOTR. However... this scene actually made me shed a tear as Bormir died because I never expected it coming (seeing as how he never died in the campaign)

When I waz young I didn't really like Boromir, and didn't really feel much towards hiz death. Now, it's the complete opposite, he got back up, each time, and kept fighting, and in the end, had a true warrior's death.

this scene is a forshadow! when aragorn and boromir are in that one room with the broken sword.......when boromir touches it he bleeds and when aragorn touches it he doesnt bleed. its forshawdowing cuz its basically kindof telling boromir will die in that movie!!!!i just noticed that

I still like the original ST better... Boromir is the biggest lost in the trilogy, alongside Theoden. When Gandalf falls in Khazad Dum, you still have a feeling that he will, somehow, come back and help the others sometimes later, but when Boromir fells, it really seems that all hope has fade... As with Boromir, Theoden's death makes the victory of Pelenor bittersweet and grims, once again, the outcome of the war. I consider them, both, the bravest characters.

Boromir is one of those rarely well acted characters who brings to light the entire nature of the character.

Boromir was a man, not Dunedain, just a man. He fell to temptation of the One Ring, but regained his honor by upholding the true nature of a warrior: To die fighting for others, and not one's self.

A noble image of the viking/knight can be seen in Boromir, he fights with every ounce of vigor, and at the same time strives to be honorable and serve good for his country. My fav char.
