  • Gr8t music video

  • WOW! wut a great video i love it!

  • Not bad. ^.^

  • All we can do is keep on keepin on. Let it go, do what you do, stay safe brothers.

    K. Richey

    Roxand township fire dept.

  • First off....great video. You hit a home run with this one!

That being said, why all the arguing? Even as a volunteer, we are taught this is a brotherhood, a lifestyle, a calling. We are taught how to be professional, stay calm, and keep our wits. Don't let one person get to you guys. As a volly, I know what I go through, and I got nothing to prove to a full time guy, or anyone else. Neither does anyone else. Maybe he missed the point of what we do. Not every ff gets the point.

  • Dude, you suck firefighting isn't about pussy, glory, or any other bullsh@t!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be for real... goood song , but you Fudged the Vol. fire Dept. with your grandger of B.S. ---- real firefighters are that real!

  • Well i wish as a Fire fighter i Hade the time to make music videos and put on shows

  • well great vid....i cant wait to become a volly..it's in my blood..

  • I've been a Firefighter with Emt-B and certs for 3 years now, and it's been the best time of my life. I felt pushed by the 9/11 incident, god bless the 343. Someone yesterday asked me, why do you do it? Why is it when we're scared, you come calm, and help people out, well let me tell you, ITS NOT FOR THE ATTENTION. ITS A PASSION.. this is a amazing LIFESTYLE. We're not a heroes, just people with a passion.

  • the funny thing is the the paid guys around where i live talk shit about volunteers but half the paid guys around here came from volly departments. the thing is it is suppose to be a brotherhood and not about if ur paid or not. i like ralphs comment

  • Great video, but I don't understand the meaning, is it like a tribute to all the firemen and women?

  • Great Video! Volunteering is the way to go!

  • Great Video guys. As a volunteer firefighter I know what all that is like. Stay safe!

  • Awesome!

  • As LAcoFIREguy and RalphFDNY4life said, "People That talk shit about volunteers are idiots! Anyone that want to argue that with me can e mail me. I guarantee I work for a bigger and better paid department then you! Volunteers are 90% of our brothers out there! They go into ripping fires with out a pay check, they volunteer! Show some Respect!"

  • Great video, and such is the life of a Volunteer FF! I cant count the number of dinners gone cold, days on end with no sleep, missing family get togethers, and feeling the twist in your gut when you recognize the address dispatch gave you, or the mangled wreckage of a teenager you just watched make the winning jump-shot 2 hrs before & now you're doing CPR on him, or getting a CPR in progress call at your parents house. Then you go work your paying job the next day. Loved it, thanks!

  • Thank you firefighters :)

  • I like it, this video tells a story... a true one at that. Stay safe brother

  • u did a awsome job making this video

  • Wicked video man! Truely.

  • Im proud to be a firefighter. Im proud that in my family there are three firefighters, me, my stepsister who is trained as a fire investigator, and my stepdad, who just retired as a fire chief after 25 years. We are alll volunteers, and Im proud of that. But I dont have a beef with paid departments. Its a lot of training that I have to do outside of my two paid jobs, but I dont do it for money. I do it because I have a passion for it. Stay safe out there, whether you get paid or not.

  • Some of the volunteer departments in Prince George's County get more exposure than many paid. Bladensburg Volunteers of the PGFD get 6000 calls, Kentland Volunteers get over 7000, both 100% Volunteers. How about that?

There is not too many firestations in this world that are like the station 9, Bladensburg in PG Country, Maryland. Endless Respect.

  • what is funny im a volly and payed and guess what its the same . but people say vollys dont have the same tranning you are wrong i train more as a volly than i will ever train payed we are all brothers if all yall have 2 do is fight each other maby u dont need to be a firefighter take the time studying how to fight fire and not each other

  • To all of those Volunteer AND Paid Firefighter out there You all go through the same training to be a firefighter AND you all work just as hard as the other out there. So knock all this crap off with bashing each other. YOU ARE ALL BROTHERS!!! And you are all tops in my book. Be Safe all of you......

  • His ears are gettin toasted 2:50

  • this is a nice training video...not alot of comp. do live training but i like wht u guys did..

  • this is an amazing freakin song... =D

  • Im a volunteer. I saved a life yesterday. I didn't get paid. It was better than that. They said thanks...

Nobody asks me to risk my life for you. I just do it... We just do it. Say thank you and Charlie-Mike.

  • @wanderingjeep your a hero

  • Yep That's My LIFE

    North Texas Volunteer FireFighter

    Wichita Falls,

  • Im a volly, but who cares if your paid or not. The only difference is when i get up at 3am for a box, im doing it because i enjoy it. I hate when people think because your on a paid crew your better. My guys preform better, work harder, and are respected more for proffesionalism, than the paid crews next town over. We all put wet stuff on the hot stuff, just along. If my town needed it we would have paid too. But we have enough volunteers, which are the back bone of all firefighting

  • im a volunteer firefighter???

  • Wtf kind of chest compressions were those?!

Haha whatever it was, it worked.

    Good song, nice vid.

  • I have a lot of respect for firefighters, volunteer or otherwise. They came into a fully engulfed apartment and saved the lives of my children and myself. If it wasn't for them we would have died from the smoke. God Bless them all.

    Loved the song too.

  • To the Sinnfien4life asshole - I hope someone blows a hot load in your wife's face while your put on a call - oh wait - you're not a firefighter anymore because you went out on disability for a hangnail. Fuckbag! Any other volunteers feel free to bash this super-ego piece of shit!!!!!

  • great, great video :)

i'm an austrian firefighter, volunteer too

  • for those of you that say that volunteers do not recieve the same training as the paid staff are wrong i start my classed in the fall at my countys votec and ill come out with the same certifications of a lot of the DFRS staff

  • @bsb552 its all about the experience while on the job nothing against volunteers but you just dont get as much exposure on a day to day basis. like any dept volunteer or not there are those that earn it and those that squeeze through the cracks, My only pet peeve with any firefighters is self proclaimed heros, the guys that wear there shirts everywhere to get attention it shouldnt be about that, if it is you got into the wrong job. Anyways keep safe out there.

  • This makes more sense than the ACTUAL music video.

    THUMBS UP TO YOU! XD

  • You have made a wonderful video. You really have. Your friends most have a really good friend.

  • great video

  • Made me cry

  • Ive always prferred the scott packs.

  • Thats what just about everyone else says. I guess ill have to take a look at them.

  • Yeah definateley, scotts dont brake as easy

  • Yeah the scotts dont malfunction as easy

  • That was pretty good video iv actually seen shit like that im JR. Firefighter and seen my dad go in that shit and people who say this is lame could suck a dick cause guess what i want you to try to go in 700 degree fires and try to rescue someone

  • well man it's hard to do. and it's 1000+ btw but, yeah i recomend you to do it up if you want to become a offical fire fighter.

  • exactly xD well depends how bad the fire is so it could be like 700 degrees but ^^ my pa was in the volenteer firefighter and then got cancer and he got rid of it and now they want him back on the team badly

  • that was awesome... i love how it was in slow mode cause sometimes thats how it feels...

  • i know man and every second that passes you can feel the intensity before you even see whats going on sometimes

  • Hey guys great movie and for all of you who call it Lame why dont you try doing what they do very day, cut em a break. All of you on a fire dept. deserve a Big thank you so.... THANK YOU

  • que hermoso es ser bombero

  • absolutely beautiful video!

great editing- the story fits every change in the music perfectly!

  • sinnfein4life im going to call you out... why do you fight fire? look i work for a large city too but i volunteer in my home town. so when you insult the volunteers your insulting our brothers... were all in this because we love it.

We have been teaching them rural water supply and nursing their sutphen ladder trucks. they have taught us about hydrant operation

  • i feel you dude im 18 and i volunteer upstate ny and our whole fire company is volunteers i mean yea we dont do buildings but shit going into a burning house scares the shit out of my mom and my gf alot but nomatter what city or country your a brother and good luck 2 you and godbless

  • @RalphFDNY4life THANK YOU!!!!!!! I'm so tired of paid FF sayin volunteers are crapy, or worthless. I am a 18 year old FF/FR and am going for my commisions 1, EMT-iv, Rescue divier, Extrication, HAZ-MAT tech, and countless other Specialties. and im a volunteer for paulette fire rescue we have a VERY ungrateful community and its nice to see a paid FF that dnt have a "if your not paid your not good" attitude

  • @RalphFDNY4life thanks brother!! my father has been a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years im his youngest daughter and right now im in traing. its so true that no one cares about any firefighter till there the ones that need saving! my dad fights 4 what he loves and does it for free too.

  • yeah what he said you want to talk shit about us volunteer's i bet most of you were volunteer at a point you know you guys are dumb you know heck we got a city next to us called Bradford Pa we could show them up if you stick up for volunteer's you rock and its hard to be a volunteer because we can be with our faimlies in a second those tones go off we can be dead in 15 min. so don't say shit about us volunteer we trie our fucking best

  • People That talk shit about volunteers are idiots! Anyone that want to argue that with me can e mail me. I guarantee I work for a bigger and better paid department then you! • your wrong and right. Volunteers aren't idiots. They are not well trained though. they are way worse then paid firefighters simply because of they aren't big enough to be paid they "legally" dont need the training. but no matter how bad they are we are all brothers. no matter what. im in a Canadian fire dept and we all cried on 9/11. It amazes me actually, opposite sides of the continent and in different countries and it still shattered our hearts

  • actually my towns volenteers are amazing and where i live u do need to train no matter what.

  • volunteers are trained well it is the same training as paid firefighters we all have the same training

  • there was a firedepartment from my state(wisconsin) that went all the way to NY to help search for firefighters and serve food, its even in one of those movies, i think its called "Twin Towers", about the 2 port cops who got traped...

  • That was a good movie, it had Nick Cage in it. It was called "World Trade Center."

  • nvm, i guess the movie is called "World Trade Center"

  • @LAcoFIREguy THANK YOU!!!!!!!

  • You guys did a great job on this bro! how many runs you guys catch a year?

  • Stop dissing vollies, at the end of the day every firefighter is the same. Give respect to a man that will go into a burning building and give his life for no compensation at all. Like it or not every single fireman lives a hero, vollie or not, every fireman is a brother

  • It takes more guts to VOLUNTEER to fight fires than to be paid for it.

Just a thought for you idiots out there who think career firefighters are better than vollies.

  • Comment removed

  • Why are people dissin' volunteer firefighters? In my eyes every firefighter is the same. Some get paid and others just volunteer. I'm on a volunteer department right now, but will eventually do it as a career. Whether we're paid or not we all get the job done.

  • I am 100% volunteer and proud ,there is nothing wrong with doing something right without getting paid for it. and were fight em better then you anyday!.

  • Yeah thats why you guys bring 6 engines and 4 trucks for a room and contents.. Break all the windows instead of opening them and cut vents in the roof... It's no comparison my truck does about 1400 runs a year with about 260-320 working jobs.. we consider a working job when we hit the plug... Not a kitchen or room and contents..Those are just daily occurrences..A tactical box 2-1..bedroom equals booster line.. we fill out the box when both engines and the truck are all hands working.. wackers!

  • my department runs about 5000 calls a year. 99 Percent are volunteer, 1 percent is paid. On a routine residential structure fire we take 3 engines, 2 tankers and a squad. We dont rely on hydrants like the paid guys. It seems to be your crutch because you dont have to do water supply so you bring less trucks. Who care how many trucks come. Might i add that we are all FF 1 and 2 and EMT's and cross train with city. But the way you trash talk on the volunteers you arent a brother just an asshole.

  • What city do you work for? I work for FDNY and respect volunteers! How do they "play fireman" ? they pull line and go in don't they? If you do not carry a union card? LOL you are in you're own little world. I really want to know where you are a smoke eater at! Oh and I volunteer in the city I live in when I am off. I must not be a real firefighter when I am not at 217's

    Ralph Jr.

  • @sinnfein4life Do you even give a damn?? Cause if you don't, maybe you shouldn't be a firefighter! Show some respect for your brothers and sisters! Volunteer or paid, they save lives every day, putting their asses on the line to save people they don't know. I'm a fire Explorer, and I see how hard firefighters work. They don't deserve to be shoved aside because they are volunteers! So like I said before: SHOW SOME RESPECT, OR DON'T EVEN GIVE A DAMN, AND WALK OUT THE DOOR!!

  • @sinnfein4life - you are truly an asshole who has NO RESPECT for those who volunteer to do what you greedy piece of shit wants to get paid to do. Fuck you for bashing volunteers. I hope every volunteer in this country unites and kicks your ass for the pompus bullshit coming out of your mouth. As for you being at a volunteers house blowing a load on her face - an even bigger FUCK YOU because YOU HAVE A WIFE ASSHOLE!!!!!

  • Oh and btw the truck i am assigned to does 1400 our dept overall does close to 22000 a year but we are a large city there is no comparison

  • Just so you know this guy is not a ff career or vollie. This is just some kid wacking off to backdraft in his room.

  • heck if he keeps doing that he'll go blind or just rub the skin off

  • Wow 22000 calls a year? lol we have one battalion that does that lol joke!

  • Comments like this make me worry for the future of the fire service, and how a reputation some worked so hard and so long to obtain is slandered in the public's eyes because of crap like this.

  • RalphFDNY4Life and LACOfireguy, i appreciate the respect you have for the volunteers. BCFD here in Boone County Missouri allows students to live for free in their station as long as the trucks get out the door. Its a great trade off. sinnfein4life pull your head outta your ass maybe go back to 3rd grade and learn to read. I never said 5000 fires, just 5000 calls, mainly medical. id like to see you drive your big truck on my gravel roads.

  • I think this is a very good music video, not only for the song, but to just show everyone how the life of a volunteer firefighter is..couldnt tell anyone how many times ive done the same thing as the guy at the beginning does.. getting out of bed, not knowing whats to come.. anyways, love the video, and god bless

  • Not bad! It was all good, except the CPR scene was just too phony (just because I know what it's like). Other than that, I like this video very much.

  • The whole house fire CPR scene is a setup but i think it shows a complete diffrent side to firefighting and is an amazing video !! :D

  • I know it's a set up, I just think it could have been done a little better. =P

  • Wonderful video!

  • Fantastic video guys! Well done from Athlone fire rescue, Ireland

  • great movie JOE P.

  • It's a good video. I can't believe there's jealousy between full-time and volunteer firefighters as per some of the comments here. Good grief. You all do good. Does it really matter?

  • It was almost hard to tell that this was a training scenario. When "horsehead" explained the CPR, it kind of made sense. I hear they do that all the time in medical shows like House M.D. so they don't hurt the actor/actress. Good video hurstnova350.

BTW, I am a certified first responder so yes, I do know how to correctly do CPR and I could tell you that this way was not the correct way. I know why they did CPR that way too so I am not just siding with the majority.

  • Wonderful video!

  • of hell yea i would take 10 good trained vollies over a paid FF, that's a no brainer dude. I don't do it for the money, teachers make more than me, why am i still doing this? i love it.

vollies don't have the same training as professionals, pros>vollies.

  • depends on the department. Im on Boone County Fire in Columbia Missouri. There is a recruit class where you recieve fire 1 and 2. It depends on how volunteer you get. Super small towns of under 1000 people are usually not very well trained. but when you get into larger cities with rural volley departments then they are more trained. I dont make a dime but i love doing it. What i have seen is that the paid guys take longer to put stuff out, unlike us who come in do the deed and go

  • Im a volunteer fireman in nova scotia, and its a fact we receive a considerable amount more training then paid firefighters. Its the real deal, we do as much as paid firefighters, without getting paid. Why? who knows, its in our nature I guess.

  • @sinnfein4life

first all 3/4s of the Firefighters in America are Volunteers and most deparments that have paid one also have Volunteers so im sure u have Volunteers on your Dept or on other Depts u work Mutual Aid 3rd i know ALOT of Volunteers i would put head to head against ANY Career Firefighter anyday my Dept is all Volunteer there are guys that would put you to SHAME so stop talking crap about how much better Career are then Volunteers we are all Brothers show some RESPECT !!

  • In MD everybody has to take the same classes from the organization. Your rural 150 call per year vollies have the same exact training as Baltimore City, from the same exact agency, MFRI, which is part of the University of Maryland. So your comment doesn't pertain everywhere.

  • I was listening to that song after my last fatal traffic accident scene.

  • great job bud. be safe

  • yoo nabby the only reason fore the stomache compressions is there doing a video so there doing fake compressions so go play barbie or something cause you dont know jack! Great Video..MCFD

  • that's no reason to condescend. They should still use the chest as an example, but not compress, because you might break a rib.

    great vid by the way.

    San Francisco fire dept.

  • Great job on the video guys!

  • Dude AWESOME JOB!

  • lol why are you pumping her stomach?

i wouldn't want you guys to save me from a fire.....

  • Shut up you fuckin moron.

All respect to every single FireFighter out there. For they fight so others may live.

Can not wait to become one.

  • lol im a fucking moron? im just pointing out a fatal flaw!

  • fatal flaw my ass. Hosehead325 is right about why they are doing stomach compressions instead of chest compressions. Before you open your mouth next time nabby, make sure you know what your talking about first

  • fake or not, you never do 'stomach' compressions. you guys are probably vollies for a small time town.

  • those vollies from small towns most of the time do a better job then alot of paid guys then i know considering we actually love what we do , instead of doing just for the bi weekly paycheck....huge difference, id take ten good trained volunteer firefighters over regular paid firefighters anyday...becuase they got more drive to fight fire becuase to them it aint about a pay check, its just about doing for the next person calling 911, a sense of giving back....

  • screw you I am a vollie degree in fire science and wildland fire management have more training than the average joe use to work for phoenix fd and prefer small vollie department we train harder because aholes like you don't take us seriously . Have tenyears of schooling and am only a officer should see what are captains have to go through. did you know that 80% of firefighters in the U.S. are vollies so shut your mouth. we vollies have more numbers than the payed guys. piss of nabby

  • volunteer departments are slowly disappearing because the lack of funds and the increase of training needed true sad but true.,

  • now with the economy the way it is everyone will be going back to volunteer I am from Oklahoma where 875 of the departments are volunteer and there are only approx 45 that are full time paid departments and we make it just fine here so don´t insult volunteer departments

  • you used to work for phx but you quit to be a vol fireman????? doubt it

  • Comment removed

  • Hose's Brother-

Its just a video, and Abdominal Thrusts would be used for Foregin Body Airway Obstructions (FBAO) choking victim, and there may come a time where you perform Chest Thrusts on a person due to Pregnancy or it be a Obese person. Everyone in the Emergency field should deffintely get out get educated and take some courses such as CPR and First Aid, Talk to your Line Officers about getting a class going, remember this is a tradition a brotherhood, Stay Safe!

  • "lol im a fucking moron"

At least nabby is admitting it. That's respectable.

  • This is hoseheads big bro, Just to set the record for all you peeps,It is just a video and great song at that, Nabby your argument is correct chest compressions should be done on the center of the CHEST, as for stomach compressions I have always been more altered to use the terminology (Abdominal Thrust} as used by CPR rescuers! Further more this was an amazing video and it does not even come close to the actual recognition these people deserve!!!

    EMS,FIRE,POLICE,MILITARY, God Bless

  • man must be fun trying to put on bunker gear over your jeens... lol i prefer to wear my station blues, but i dont hvae a permanent pair atm i will in a few months when they finally arive!

  • i've done it before its not too hard to do but it is annoying to walk around in

  • after a while you get use to them there, i prefer to wear blue jeens under my bunkers

found i like it better then shorts more so in winter here in iowa, tends to be a whole lot warmer.

  • i only wear my blue jeans, of course im a volunteer firefighter. I just hate when they bunch up on me, kinda like boxers when they do it

  • Awesome Video!!!!

  • felicidades por el video, es buenisimo !! congratulations !!

  • What year is that engine? Good grief that thing is short! Our engine and rescue are at least like 2 ft taller (we use the commercial style). One is a KME/E-One and the other is an International/E-One.

  • I hope your Dept doesnt do CPR like that in a real situation... Why the heck were they giving her compressions to the stomach?

  • because it wasnt a real situation so 1. it might be harmful to do real compressions on a beating heart, and 2. it was a girl so that might get a little racy with your hands on her chest if they don't need to be so the stomach is safer in all aspects

  • Of course you couldn't do full pressure compressions, but as for you second point I would get the vic's permission and make sure whomever was performing CPR followed exact protocol so that no incident arises. You have a valid interpretation, but if I were making this movie I'd do it the real way.

  • i wish it was that easy in real life guys. if it was everyone would go home and everyone would be alive. but the sad thing is that nothing happens that way.

  • awsome. Im a rural and i very much appreciate what the urbans do. =] And the girl lives she just gests sent to hospital for smoke inhalation. standard procedure

  • Why is your appliance yellow?

    F,F, S lyden

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, England.

  • its called a Truck not a appliance lol

  • haha i think he ment apperatus and its because its not a real truck real ones are red. haha jk hey if it gets the job done. the fire services in the uk are pretty different when i went there their trucks were very weirdly shaped. lol

  • Why is it not a real truck?

We have specials here in England (pumps, pump/ladders and emergency tenders) but they are all RED. By the way we call them appliances or fire engines and they are all based on commercial lorry chassis with coach built body's.

  • theres no set code we at the station in town have 2 trucks that are bright orange because its easyer to see from a distance in the brush.

altho its were with the big ole wheel on the back end of the engine but meh like the dude said what ever gets the job done and done right with no injurys.

  • school buses back in the day used to be orange, we do things a bit different in America, 7275steve.

  • Engines, trucks, tankers/tenders w/e, and other pieces vary in many different colors. I've seen blue, green, purple, pink, white, red, and more. I live by station and we run yellow. Our pieces out at school are orange though. Its kind of like a personality.

  • yeah i know what you mean. our department only uses red, and i couldnt imagine it any other way

  • our trucks are red, yellow or white normally it is a real truck. we call them engines, pumpers, rescue or ladder/quint depending on their speacilty. this was a real truck with a real department

  • its actually an engine,,lol
