  • Brilliant movie, brilliant scene. All the costumes are by Gaultier.

  • woooooooow this movie looks SOOOOOOO bad.

  • @fistofthepanther its actually really good. its action packed funny and has romance. its definitely an orignal work

  • She has an amazing voice. It actually sounds like an instrument in parts.

  • I love this movie! It is my favorite movie of all time! I bought it on blueray and watched it everyday that week lol This is my favorite part too! SHES SO GOOD!

  • I have seeb this movie so many damn times and its still a great scene

  • i've seen this movie 37 times and this scene still makes me shiver in delight! awesome!

  • did you know, that Plava Laguna means Blue Lagoon in Slovenian? And Blue Lagoon is a movie that Milla Jovovich played in.

  • @somebody555551 I was not aware of that, cool bit of into

  • @somebody555551 and the woman is ex-wife from director luc besson, who later married mila jovovich

  • @somebody555551

And in Serbian, and Croatian, and Bosnian too..

  • @somebody555551

    serbian dude...serbian

  • @somebody555551 Actually, Plava Laguna means Blue Lagoon in Serbian. Milla Jovovich has a Serbian father.

  • @somebody555551

It's actually Serbian, which is what Mila is ;)

  • It's actually Serbian, which is what Mila is ;)

  • @somebody555551 hmmm well... it is not quite in Slovenian but it is in Croatian, Serbian and Bosnian language :) but close enough :)

  • @somebody555551 Thanks for all the corrections (I'm not sarcastic). I'm from Slovenia and here they translated it into Plava Laguna even though the correct translation would be Modra Laguna (or even more correct; Modri Zaliv). And thanks for all the thumbs up!

  • @somebody555551 It means the same in serbian and croatian!

  • @somebody555551

actually it is Croatian but as far as you know we have similar languages so you can also say it is Slovenian... but Plava Laguna i s a part of the croatian city of Pula (Istra) which impressed the author who was there (and I am not 100% sure but I think some scenes were taken in Croatia but I am not sure) and gave this character a name Plava Laguna.

Greetings from your croatian neighbour ! :)

  • @somebody555551

In Slovenian hahaha.. you mean in Serbian

  • @miliserbo You mean Slovenian, Serbian, Croatian And Bosnian

  • @somebody555551 I find no evidence of Milla being in Blue Lagoon with Christopher Atkins and Brooke Shields.

  • @somebody555551 RETURN To The Blue Lagoon

  • thts wat u call rap opera :P

  • Aparently her voice isn't digitally altered, except at one point where a wind instrument overdubs her voice?

    That's intense! :D

  • @Kodisku Yea but she had to perform some of the notes singularily, one by one, cos the human voice cannot change pitch that much that quick

  • @sleater84

apparently u're wrong. just check the video "Laura sings the "Diva Dance" from the Fifth Element ".

  • Love the RANGE of notes -- highest I've heard! integrated with Lalu's pain, and kickass anger -- soooo well done!!

  • i first saw this movie yesterday

when this part came on, i was like "wtf?"

  • one of my favorite scenes in a movie EVER!! fuckng love it.

  • Damn... that fight scene was awful, just awful...

  • @Purcader222 Its an old movie. It was made the same year I was born (1997)

  • @zaqareemalcolm I'm aware of that fact, but what about it? Bruce Lee's films were made 20 years earlier than this one and they still had great fight scenes

  • Tarja! <3

  • the dance was so funny.. but anyway.. the natural-editedish voice was awesome..

  • shame the Swdes ripped this off for their 2009 Eurovision song....

  • i love mila jovovic and bruce willis :D<3

Trema ogni fibra!...Vacilla it pie! Presso la fonte meco t'assidi alquanto Si, presso la fonte meco t'assidi..." IMPRESIONANTE!

  • Aaaw LOVE IT! =D

  • 3:30 and so on sound like its done by a synthesizer, which is cool how someone can make their voice do that!!

  • The diva needs dancing lessons lul, but its a good song =D

  • 4:24 is WOW.

  • amazing.

  • If you watch closely when Leeloo flips, Mila faces down when she jumps, but her body double does back flips in the next shot.

  • This song gives me chills! I can't help but tear up, it's just so amazing!

  • @lswanson11 It should! The aria is sung by a mad woman! Act 3 scene 2 of Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor "Il dolce suono"

  • I love when Leeloo kicks thier butts. I love how she flips and how the music changes. I'm still obsessed with this movie LOL

  • My favorite scene in this movie

  • wo0o0o0w esta cancion si que es muy muy buena

q sonidos por mucho la mejor

  • fifth element is love...

  • Corect. Plava laguna i a bay (and a hotel) i Poreč, Istria peninsula, Croatia.

Don't spoil a beautiful aria, movie, art with stupid nationalism, Vejinac.

  • The Diva was named after the CROAT name for a hotel complex in Istria, Croatia (Plava Laguna), which was confirmed by Besson himself. So it can't be Bosnian or Serbian! Especially since in Bosnia there are three official languages and saying that there's only one is utterly ignorant towards the other two ethnic groups, who happen to be minorities. Try to say that in Switzerland there's only one language, and just wait for the (raging violent) reaction, if you dare!

  • So I guess the fact that Mila Jovovic acting in Return to the Blue Lagoon had nothing to do with it, and her being Besson's wife at the time? :)

  • I had never seen anything like this before and I got all emotional when I first saw it in the theaters.. good thing I was by myself

  • Absolutely inspiring! It makes you want go out and live!

  • que buen video que voz la dde esa señora y Milla Jovovish you are the best...

  • i swear this song needs to be on a video game or sumtin...and at 4:36...look at that slow ass punch...lmao..damn that was slow.

  • best song of this movie i like this

  • Plavalaguna was so creepy to me when I first saw the movie.

The whole movie was pretty weird to me.

  • Plava laguna word is an Bosnisch language is Blue beach.

  • Blue lagoon ...but yeah same meaning :)

  • @vejinac he he Bosnisch?? well maybe in Bosnian it means Beach but real translatation is Blue Lagoon or in Serbian "Plava Laguna". and all this is becouse Mila Jovovic was played in re-make film Blue Lagoon. and on her Mother tongue (Wich is Ukrain and Serbian) you say it Plava Laguna. So simple is that:)

  • In Bosnien living Muslim,Serbien and Croatien,And thogether speak Bosnien language!Plava Laguna speak from FYRO Macedonia to the Croatien, but word Plava Laguna maybe is word from Slovenien (Poland,Ukraina, republics from Ex Yugoslavien,)Its so simple is that!Serbien says about Nikola Tesla is serbin but he is talk about this,he is American!Selam...

  • @vejinac I m not saying, who is what (Bosnian Muslim or Croat or Serbian) i am just saying taht your translation of "Plava Laguna" is not correct.

It means Blue Lagoon and not Blue Beach as you said. tahts all.

  • its very like.

  • There's no such thing... come on - that's political and not linguistic name. How come everybody spoke same language before war. To say that there are 3 different languages is to say that for example Danes, Norwegians and Swedes don't understand each other. It's the same language, only things have changed around here, in Balkans.

  • @Ivonikuss

thats because there are now 3 countries and each insists to speak "their" language

it realy is the same language

  • 4:13 best thing ever

  • someone knows who is she?

  • MaÏwenn Le Besco

  • So what the hell was god thinking when he made her? 'I know, she looks just like Eve but instead she's blue and has tentacles for hair!' Awesome scene.

  • I have a German lady friends who can sing the whole song ezaxtly like that.

  • Actually, there is 2 songs in this scene

    00.00-03.24 is Il dolce suono

    3:25-finish is The Diva Dance

Both performed by Inva Mulla Tchako

I love The Diva Dance song ^^

  • the name of de singer its inva mulla tchako, and she is from de albania, it's a real singer not like a emma chaplin.

  • is there a full song of it? without those talks of actors??? Plzzzz!

  • just look up techno opera

  • thx. i will :)

  • what a bastard.. i love plavalaguna ha

  • This is true art! This actress was actually engaged to the director, but he left her for the actress who plays the 5th element. Awesome post!

  • i wonder if the future really is going to be like that

  • No, it will be a gray and brown wasteland with nothing alive but bacteria, fungi and cockroachesa

  • the dvd has a special with her in front of the green screen and no cut aways from the diva. it;s awesome

  • my favorite part's from 3:25 onwards

  • This is creepy

  • creepy, but also awesome =)

  • yes

  • this is so my favorite movie.

  • I love the contrast from the classical to the future music =]

  • She remember me of Star Craft's Protoss

  • You imagine things, maybe 'constructing additional pylons' will help xD

  • XD ja ja ja ja

  • Actually she looks Draenei, but Draenei are a cheap copy of the Protoss

    P.S.: Blizz rullz

  • Well, i was just thinking of that Protoss-Mother-like that apeared in Broodwar, you know, the one that was controlled by Kerrigan, i just don't remember her name now.

I'll keep an eye on Plavalaguna, maybe she is controlled by Zergs too... o no, she is dead.

  • I like that song, I always thought that was a cool interpretation of future music.

  • 03:24

Love the combination between the music and the film effects

  • It is a great scene.

  • I love Diva Plavalaguna!!

    I love this song!

    I love this movie!

    I love Milla Jovovich!!

    I love Bruce Willis!!!

  • I LOVE THEM TOO.!!

    XOXO

  • do you think i can download the second part(that crazy yelling ^^) from somewhere as an mp3?

  • I have original song on mp3.

  • whats the origional and whats the artist???

  • it an adaptation of il dulce sonne and the performer is the famous soprano inva mula tchako, now our blue diva is performed by an french actress wich name i cant recall

  • emma chaplin seems to sing it...

  • the artist is Inva Mula from Albania the original is Il Dolce Suono

  • YEAH! That is just epic in proportion to life... okay maybe not, but I loves it =D Thanks for putting it up =D

  • thank you sooooooo much for uploading this part of the movie when i first saw the movie i was so amazed by this part and when i listen to it now i'm stunned!!!thx!!!!

  • amazing voiceeeeeeeeee

    A-MA-ZING

    =)

  • excelent...the perfect voice

  • The 5th element is one of my favorite movies of all times :)

  • awersome

  • amazing

  • The 'fifth element' is love

    Leilu is the fifth element

The four stones were of no use without her

    She saves the planet

Maybe not the best script or acting

But I love the whole concept

  • the acutal singer argued during the production that some of the notes were to quick for any human to ever sing so they had to prerecord some of it and like layer it.

  • this movie is the best

  • she looks alot like aayla secura from star wars. great movie, great voice, PERFECT! 5/5 thx for uploading! XD

  • Actually, the actress who plays the Diva was in Haute Tension (High Tension), that rather high profile French horror film. Thanks to all the Diva makeup, I never put two and two together until I was searching for images of her. Awesome character!

  • Unbelieveable.... this is,,,wow! PERFECT!

I loved taht movie,,and the truth is that this is the reason.

  • i love this movie!!!!

  • It is so amazing!

  • and yeah, plava laguna means blue lagoon, its a name of a place near Poreč, Croatia, where luc besson likes to go on holliday.

  • it was sung by inva mula tchalko, an albanian sprano who besson met. this aria is from the Lucia di Lamermoor opera, it is called "il dolce suono" ( the sweet sound ) also reffered to as "the mad scene" because the character Lucia gets insaine.....the second part was mixed by eric sera ( its called the diva dance ), but it was reported that mula and a few others are able to sing it....who knows!

  • haha, that part at 4:24 or 4:25 is just inhuman. but amazing...

  • Yes it posible but those people are realy rare. I know that in Russia there is one girl that can sing it by her natural voise, I heard it one time and can't find it, But yes there is.

  • is it possible someone sing like diva?

i ask because in some parts her voice looks be manipulated by computer

  • i am from croatia and Plavalaguna in croatian language is Blue Lagoon

  • 3:51 & 4:30! My favorite parts of this vid!

  • Impresionante!!!!... esta es una de las escenas mas fregonas!!!! jo jo jo!!!

  • 5 stars!!!

  • this movie is fair!

  • what was the fifth element again? in this movie it was light right?

  • It was love.

  • Go Plavalaguna!

  • This move is undeniably awesome. One of the best movies ever made.

  • i love that movie! and that song is great!

  • Inva Mula.... she is Awesome. one of the best sopranos now-a-days

  • The song and film are incredible, i think she needs to learn how to dance though. lol

  • There was a little Yma Sumac theft going on here....

  • the soprano is just a great one I love the way she does the floritura. That is the result of years of practise. The performance is just beautiful. LOVED IT!
