Hi there, yeah the battery does tend to get hot on these. The chinook must draw quite a few amps, and the battery packs are quite small if you ask me. I think this thing has not really been designed as a professional machine, just a bit of fun which it is I guess. Getting warm wont be a real problem for the LiPo battery, only if it gets boiling hot.
Nice flying they are very stable.
