  • I just have to say this absolutely awesome. Obviously this is great for emergency situations, but could also be used by campers for a nice surprise for the kids.

  • barryfarm. dot com has the clear gel too :)

  • Can you use the non instant clear jel and just cook?

  • @mplace6 I'm sure you could but if you're going to cook it, it would be cheaper to use regular old cornstarch. That's what homemade cooked puddings are usually made with.

  • you amaze me once again! such a busy lady you are.. :)

  • Awesome video! Thanks for sharing this with us.

  • Great video.. I am sending it to my sister and Mom!! Nothing like comfort food during awful desperate times.

  • You ARE hooked on Clear Jel! We wont call for an intervention yet. teehee I'm enjoying these videos. Can't wait to try it myself. Thank you!

  • Thats a cool idea to package up the dry mix and save it for later on. Just add water...brilliant !

  • cool thanks

  • good info to know .you make in want to eat all the time

  • Your the best. If I lived at your house I would weigh 300 lbs. Your pantry must be like a grocery store.

  • @dakotadude1952 It actually does look like a grocery store but I'm figuring out how to have less groceries and more staples to make stuff like this with.

  • WHAT is clear Gel? I want some..can I get it here in Canada? NICE JOB!

  • @TheMrsVolfie When I was looking for recipes for this stuff I ran across a post from a person in Canada saying they found that the company that made it had a plant in Canada and they were able to get some. I don't know how old the post was but you could check on it. It's made by National Starch.

  • @Gardensandcabins It's a modified corn starch. They put it through some kind of process so that it doesn't break down like regular corn starch.

  • Great video once again! I'm gonna have to get me some of that. The idea of making instant pudding for my food storage instead of purchasing the #10 cans is a winner in my book. Blessings!

  • @BexarPrepper It's cheap too. If my calculations are correct, that's 35 cents worth of Clear Jel, 15 cents worth of sugar and 31 cents worth of powdered milk for a total of 81 cents. I don't know what a package of store bought instant pudding costs these days but this price includes the milk. It really does taste good.

  • Ooh! That is a great idea. Add some chocolate & it would be perfect. LOL Thanks!

  • I also hear that chefs in restaurants will use clear jel for making mayo more like best foods or hellman's..

  • COCOA for me please!! Thanks for this! I will make it but with splenda! I have been wondering about pudding!

  • @Judimus2 They claim the Clear Jel is a great way to cut down on sugar in recipes. You can make jams and jellies with it and use a lot less sugar. I also read that you can add it when making bread and it will make the bread moister and allow you to cut down on the fat in the recipe. For chocolate pudding they say to add 1/2 cup cocoa and increase the sugar to 3/4 cup. I assume Splenda would work instead.

  • @imstillworkin I had NO idea I could use it for sugar free jams and jellies! I just made some really crappy sugar free jam using pectin and it is almost inedible. WAY tooo tart. Thank you so much for all your videos. I have learned volumes! You are really helping us out here! Please keep it up!
