This speech was absolutely brilliant when I watched it the other night; only about an hour after watching John McCain drone through a speech reading from a teleprompter off camera. Night and Day folks. I don't care what McHillary say - SPEECHES ARE IMPORTANT. They are the springboard for action.
Go Obama you have my vote. Clintons should never be allowed in the white house so Bill can abuse another intern. Americans need to write a new chapter a chapter will cause a change of direction
Lately Hillary has called on her supporters to vote for simply because she is a woman. It is a line that speaks of entitlement and resentment. In contrast, Obama is talking about the immigrant story; the story of a first generation American (on his father's side) running for the highest office in the land. Unlike Hillary's divisive and negative message, the Obama story of American opportunity inspires hope and optimism because it is inclusive.
i was wathcing the tv and some people voted for hilary but they were republicans but they voted for her because shed be a easier person to beat ... but i support obama
Did Hillary Clinton big win on Tuesday, March 4th?
No... Her pledged delegate net gain was only about 8. Obama is still ahead by over 140 and won more delegates than Clinton in Texas.
Clinton got +9 from Ohio, +5 from Rhode Island, and +4 from the Texas Primary. Obama gained +3 in Vermont and is expected to gain +7 from the Texas Caucus.
Clinton 9+5+4=18
Obama 3+7=10
18-10=8
There's almost no conceivable way Clinton can overtake Obama's pledged delegate lead.
Do you guys want the Clintons again in power for another 8 years ? That'll be 16 years in all.Just look at what has happened to America with the Bushes in power for sixTEEEEEN good years.

McCain would just continue in the same direction and Hillary starts also to make me sick with her funny "point point clap clap" speeches and her fake smile. 2. She will never overtake Obama in delegate count.... WHY is she still campaigning to death.. She will polarize the Democratic party just like she polarizes America!
I will never vote for a cry baby like Clinton, and DEFINATELY Mccain will win if she is nominated.
Today March 7 2008(msnbc), she was asked who she would partner up with and she said Sen.McCain (Republican) instead of Sen. Obama. That is a slap in our faces (Democrates) that have voted for her What a SELL-OUT!!(Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island).what has she been doing since she was the FIRST LADY??
Maybe the big brothers won't let him in..money rules and Obama will make their life more difficult, war promotes alot of money for many people in Washington..anyway let's see how it goes
First let me say he DID NOT, DID NOT lose Texas. It is being reported that way and Hillary is claiming victory ( as she is with Florida & Michigan ), techenically he won. Here's how count it up. She won the primary, for that she gets 65 Delgates he gets 61. Then he winning the caucus, there are 38 delegates at stake there. My understaning is he will pass her up in delegates after that. He wins popular & delegate numbers.
The world's eyes are upon us now to see what we will choose. The world longs for peace and their hearts are waiting to see what we will choose. The world looks to us as leaders in DREAMS and prosperity what will we choose.
The world is weary living in fear they want TRUTHS what will we choose.I am just one voice, a woman with children and a man that I share my life with and I CHOOSE this American Man named Barack Obama to be my President. I believe that he is "the one".
Actually, Barack is wrong here for the first time. After Hillary's win in RI, TX and Ohio, his increase in pledge delagates increased even further more! ;) Leaving Hillary in the MUD! HAHAHA!
Listen people, a vote for Hillary is a vote for McCaine she cannot win! This is why they are afraid of Obama, he encourages the people, and believe me the rich only want to keep us down! Please people vote for Obama!
what are you talking about dude?last i checked obama has more popular vote, more plaged delegates!(al gore had more popular vote in america overall)obama has more popular vote overall ov all the states up to now.what are you saying?lets just count texas and ohio?
It's obvious Obama won Texas. He lost the primary by 4 delegates (which are what count), but won the caucus (which allots 35% of the delegates) by a large margin. Most likely, he won by more than 4 delegates in the caucus, which gives him an overall win in the state.
Iam from Angola and i will tell u: The world supports OBAMA! Americans, vote for this man. Obama is the hope. All world leaders would listen to this man. VOte for Obama. Viva Obama.
Barack Obama says he'll bring change not just for america but for the world. I wonder if he can stand up to the challanges of security, (weak platform), solutions to the mortgage crisis, inflation, to say stop to pork barrel spending (he himself is probably held responsible) and many other issues that need reasonable attention as President. How can a presidential candidate inspire so many DEMS if he dosen't have clear answers to solve future problems?
I voted for him and I wished he could have won Texas but seems like republicans can't keep their noses in THEIR party! However, If Obama would have come to West Texas maybe in Lubbock or Abilene and did more in the South Plains, I think he might have one. Hillary sent Chelsea and Bill to Lubbock back to back and nobody came for Obama....
It is not over yet. He can still win the caucus. Most of the Republicans who voted in the Texas Democratic primary voted for Obama.
Of course, Hillary is not happy. If she is going to consistently cry, whine, and complain because things aren't going her way she can damn well bet she will never see my vote, even if Obama becomes the VP. If he wants to save his political career, he'd do better to avoid that offer.
Everyone has a right to their opinions and ideas. America has issues that have never been addressed. People are just now wanting to start taking action for change to make things better. It's a good time like any. I one day have children, that we will not be discussing the same issues that we are still dealing with today or 100 years ago. America will never be a super power if we don't get the next step. That's why Europe is doing so well.
I just made my Donation Barak Obama! Go forth young son of America (Barak Obama) and save our Country! I would like my son to be able to grow up with at least a chance for happiness. Take my donation and spend it however you see fit.. I trust in your judgment, and feel you are our best chance for a new positive direction. Godspeed Obama. Save America!
It is important to realize that Ohio and Texas have open primaries, that is the voter can vote for a Dem or Repub regardless of party affiliation, making it easy for Repubs to vote for the weaker Dem candidate to ensure a Repub win in November. What other reason would there for hard-hit by NAFTA Ohio to vote Clinton more than Obama? Obama is the candidate we need to end the corporate influence in Washington that is bringing hardship to ordinary Americans.
I really sense some conspiracy brewing. The Republicans are pushing Florida to have a democratic primary behind curtains. They want Hillary and Obama to keep fighting, and wanting them to turn negative. Don't stoop to their level though Obama. Keep the positive politics. Only attack Clinton on policy, never on personal negatives. You will win if you do so. She only won because she resorted to Bush tactics, scaring up votes, but don't let your voice disappear in the background. Keep it loud
I am from the Netherlands, and I truly hope he will win, as an outside I might say, that this is the best ever happen to America. His words are inspiring not only for an American but for everyone. America is a world power and has enough influence to change the way people live not only in their own country but everywhere. Mr. Obama comes across , that he has the right ideas and a steady mind to make those changes come true. I hop America is making a wise choice this time. GL
Why are you guys wasting your time writing this nonsense. This conversation never was about pledged delegates or anything else. I told someone, contrary to their comment, that he lost the states. I don't care how this twisted democracy works after a few days. She won the popular vote. Funny how when its Al Gore, its all about the votes, people, and democracy. Now, its all about jerrymandering, delegates, and the rest. Please stop responding. Go Obama, Obama '08! yipee!
We will win Texas by 7 delegates. We crushed the cynics in the caucuses.Rush The Hogg Scumbaughs strategy didn't work. After we finish off the cynics,We Will Destroy The Republicans.ONWARD TO VICTORY!!!
Obama won Texas. The republicans who voted for Hillary were about 25 percent. What Cowards!!Figures this would happen in Texas. He did clobber her in the caucus.
im irish not american , but this guy is a refreshing change from the usually political scare mongering politicians in america, hopefully u'l vote this guy into office.
Hey guys, I got a question to American Obama supporters: Wouldn't it be smart for him to announce already now, who would be his vice-president, if he gets the nomination? Just to make clear that it won't be Clinton and to show her, that she's in the weaker position. I think a ticket Obama / Janet Napolitano f.ex. would be good. Or would this be unwise?
We should remember that Obama did win Texas The numerous reports of Repubicans that voted for Hillary because they felt she would be easier to beat in the General election is the only reason she won by the small margin of 5 points. This is substaintiated by the fact that he clobbered her in the caucus. Those republicans did not stand out side for hours to caucus for her. I am from indiana and I applaud your hard work in Texas. Keep the faith.
Outside America we are almost unanimously hoping Obama will win - shame we cannot vote. But you can - lets build a world we can believe in - not just America.
maybe you should organize a walk in support for Obama in your country. make some signs walk down the street for support it would definitely open some eyes. just an idea
Rather interesting issue this.True that people of one country ought not enjoy the franchise of another.Yet,its ironical that the decision that the American electorate makes will decide the lives of other nations more critically than it does theirs. If they make a mistake in choosing the leader.Americans end up without health insurance. The same mistake could cost an Iranian/Iraqi his life. Now tell me...ought not he be given a say too?Ofcourse, you could just leave his country alone but will you?
'By the end of Wednesday, this much was known about the 193 Democratic delegates up for grabs in Tuesday's primary and caucuses: Clinton's advantage in the primary gives her a 65-61 edge in delegates allocated on the basis of that vote, but there could still be a shift of two delegates. All indications are that Obama is edging her in the caucus process, and he may end up with an overall delegate victory in Texas as big as 99-94.'
hillary does not have a clue she thinks she is winning. She only won the popular vote which probably does noot mean that much... Look at what happened in nevada . she won the popular vote but he won the delegates in that state.
i voted for obama but hes not being smart where it counts.why dont he fight harder, get on national television and clear the rumors, then dig up some trash on hillary already,GEESH!.im beginning to feel let down by this guy.
Hillary was on the Wal-Mart board when Bill Clinton was a Governor. Wal-Mart was and STILL IS strongly against U.S. Worker Unions. I cannot support any candidate who was apart of an organization that were/are against the labor rights of HARD WORKING Americans.
As it stands right now, the majority of honest hard working Americans get SHIT on in the work place and they have few if any labor rights or job security.
Yes we will... wait that Hillary. Yes we can!!! thats how it is and what it is. We are a strong nation that should be United. Our ony hope is Obama and Al Gore. Make it happen Obama and then you will have a Victory and a ticket that will bring true change to the Country and the world.
AP: BOGOTA, Colombia - Writing two days before his death, (Raul) Reyes tells his comrades that "the gringos," working through Ecuador's government, are interested "in talking to us on various issues."
"They say the new president of their country will be (Barack) Obama," he writes, saying Obama rejects both the Bush administration's free trade agreement with Colombia and the current military aid program.
Barack is the best hope that the Democratic Party has of acquiring the Presidency. It's time for change in America that can affect the rest of the world.
Obama got robbed, Diebold machines work for Hillary. Look how many votes Obama got in Harlem, look it up! You'll see this election is rigged but they have to make it look as if it's not.
Obama is our only chance to avoid WW3/Nuclear hollicaust in the middle east under McCain, and to exit Iraq with honor so that our soldiers would not have died in vain.
I wish Barack would lead my country - UK - I'd vote for him in an instant. He is a truly outstanding candidate. God I hope he defeats McCain (who is endorsed by Bush).
unclefesterfrump- he only has expereince in his state and as a pow but he hasnt a clue when it comes of finance and economics.
Hillary clinton got bashed on her foreign policy by obama. He said he only foreign policy experience she has is when she traveled to some country w/sheryl crow and Madonna
I hear it now in the end it will be the superdeligates that will ultimately decide who will be the nomine. Please people , contact your super deligates and let your support for Obama be known and heard. Obama 2008 !
its really tricky because he as endorsed by a kennedy but in Massachusetts hillary won the most delegtes. he constituents should rule but man superdelegates have already promised to vote either way. They can always change according to the popular vote in particular counties
Thank god the rest of the country is not OHIO! They'll vote McCain probably anyway...just the way they voted Bush! If i lived there id move. The state with the most at stake and the cant see a true leader when it matters most! Good Luck Blue Collar workers of Ohio. Signed, Blue Collar, White Male, and Veteran of the Persian Gulf. Those are not Bush's or Clinton's dying in the unjust remake of Vietnam. Its time to get responsible fellow Blue Collar workers or we all burn in the Cooperate World!
The world is indeed watching and world is supporting Barack Obama. The world is SOOO SICK and TIRED of the same old politics! It's no secret that USA is the last best hope on earth. Americans, WAKE UP! Vote for this great guy!
God Bless You, Barack Obama! You will be the 44th President of the Unites States of America. ALL THE BEST!!!
Supporter from the The Republic of The Philippines :)
the world is not only watching Mr. President, the world is supporting you,and if the US should fail to embrace this great opportunity that has been given them then we will hold world elections and make you the president of the world.Good luck sir!!!
Hilary is not catching up. It doesn't matter how many she wins, it matter how much she win..and she's not winning much...in fact she won about 12 delegates...that's like nothing. SHe's basically back to square one and behind Obama. She's losing big in essence because she need these 2 big states to make a comeback and she failed.
In our history Americans fight for Hope and hope is what Hillary Clinton can't give. She can't bring hope because she is one of the ones that have left us hopeless...Right now we are given an opportunity! It's time to show America how strong Hope can be. Obama represents one hope for America and one dream for Americans. My Featured video elaborates on these ideas, check it out.
Obama and his advisors are brilliant. Months ago, they projected which states they would win -- and so that their projections have been perfectly accurate. (Tim Russert discussed this last night on CNN) They projected that they would win Vermont and lose the other three states. Their accuracy gives me great confidence that they were also right when they projected that we would win more delegates in the end. Keep the hope alive! Yes, we can!
It is a known fact in Ohio that many Republicans shifted parties and voted for Clinton to hand Ohio to Clinton. Some heavy Republican counties even ran out of Democrat ballots. This strategy will continue now that McCain has the Republicn nomination (in an effort to prevent an Obama vs. McCain race).
Yeah, keeping Barack strong, I want him in office so bad I'm really tired of people like John McCain in office cause he won't do anything. At least Barack will make attempts at changing things, some will work, some may not but it's better than another republican in office.

I believe that he is "the one".

ozne64 3 years ago
It's obvious Obama won Texas. He lost the primary by 4 delegates (which are what count), but won the caucus (which allots 35% of the delegates) by a large margin. Most likely, he won by more than 4 delegates in the caucus, which gives him an overall win in the state.
It's that simple.

Obama will do nothing for America. He is too much of a radical.
smokes2468 3 years ago

Our projections show the most likely outcome of yesterday's elections will be that Hillary Clinton gained 187 delegates, and we gained 183.
That's a net gain of 4 delegates out of more than 370 delegates available from all the states that voted.
They failed.
