They were deported to the 13 colonies, but still given freedom of mobility through Britsh land, and the vast majority simply didn't even unpack when they were dropped off, and went back home. To this day, there is a very proud Acadian population in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia with their own dialect, and even their own flag. This guy really needs to get his facts straight.
