Out of the nuthouse ,into the world . He made some great songs ! RIH . Theres more fun down there . All of his albums are good listening ! His last party -was inspinig ! His death though fortcoming ;was a great sorrow .AS WE see and hear him today ,he reminds us to enjoy every sandwich !
Another Masterpiece from Warren's vast & seemingly bottomless reservoir of lyrical/musical delights. Can't get enough of "The Offender". Never could. Never will.
I saw him live in Iowa City Iowa, when I was like... 14? 1983/82? He was young, and I was younger, and he was INSANE! He played so long that I thought his set break was the end of the show, until some college kids told me to stick around. It was right after the album Excitable Boy came out, but he must have played 30 songs. I give that show a 9 out of 10, and I used to work for Bill Graham, first for the Dead from 87 to 95 then at the Warfield until 1997. I averaged about 3 concerts a week
@djnotsohot I too first saw Warren on that tour. He played in my college gymnasium. He rocked then and even later on when he toured without a band. He was always great. Always under appreciated by most I believe.
