I am not an aggie nor longhorn, but for longhorns to call Texas a&m a cult is a bit extreme and in my mind hypocritical considering longhorns light candles and try to hex the aggies. And maybe it just me being a guy, but a bonfire is a hell of a lot cooler than some stupid candles

@NolanRogers2 I don't even go to A&M, but personal insults are always a dick move. UT was higher on my list of colleges in part because the Aggies are way too "spirited" for me, but that doesn't mean they are self-absorbed snobs. It's school enthusiasm. You apparently have it too; they just have more.

@clayprit It is not a "school-sanctioned" event anymore because the administration is too concerned with being sued to realize how important some traditions are. However students have been holding off campus bonfire now to keep the tradition alive as those 12 students would have wanted and that is what this is a video of.

i was a brownpot in 07, and after helping lead bonfire, i can tell you, that to the untrained eyes it appears stupid, but there are so many safetey factors that no one EVER sees, that someone actually has to want to cause an accident in most cases,..... and i have worked with actual commercial grade safety companies. Also, I have never been so thanful for any one thing as i am for bonfire.

I attended this Aggie Bonfire and it was AMAZING! Just seeing another successful Aggie Bonfire go up in flames was so beautiful! To ALL Bonfire '06 workers...be proud. That stack look unbelievable. The guest speakers was amazing as well. I think it was 1983 Aggie Bonfire Repot. GREAT JOB!
