My point is that maybe the politics shouldn't "float away". It is the biggest decision imaginable to take the life of another person. If you are doing it you had better question long and hard about whether it is for the right reasons. That's all I'm asking. That the young men and women who watch these videos THINK about it. The "story" of the Devil Dogs nickname is said to be from when the Marines were advancing on the Germans with gas masks on. With the fight going on all around, smoke, blood and sweat, the Germans said the Marines looked like rabid dogs attacking...Devil Dogs. Just because one is in the military doesn't mean they are puppets. There is a fine line between discipline and respect for "authority" and being a puppet. Any job where you work for someone else and you could be considered a puppet.
