The average air conditioner is about 2.5 ton or less. Keep in mind the more electrical load, the MORE YOU ARE GOING TO PAY for propane. This is emergency power and I wouldn't even back up the air conditioner: Use fans. Unless you are rich and can afford paying for all of that propane.
