In Sweden, we've only got a few banned films, I don't even know what's on that list. I'm very thankful for our country's attitude about movie censorship. ^^ (They even allowed the uncut Cannibal Holocaust around 10 years ago, which is kinda impressive since it's still banned in so many countries.)

Is it just me or do Germany ban a lot of things? They even banned a lot of Cannibal Corpse's CDs, yet Germany has bands like Cock & Ball Torture who write disgusting lyrics (far worse than Cannibal Corpse's) and even the band name is something I would have expected to be banned over there.

@GeorgeyBoy13 I don't know about that band you named, but the Cannibal Corpse CDs only did go on the list because they became quiet popular in the media and people who didn't know shit about death metal were crying out that the covers were disgusting (and the Butchered at Birth one really is a bit too much imo). The lyrics were not the argument for the ban I think. Most people here wouldn't understand them anyway lol

Natürlich kann man es eine Pseudoverbot nennen (wenn die BBFC einen Film in UK berbietet, dann ist ja sogar der Besitz strafbar soweit ich weiß), aber trotzdem ist es im Vergleich zum Rest der Welt lächerlich, dass es so viele Einschränkungen und Zensuren für Erwachsene gibt in diesem Land.

Zum Glück ist § 131 nur ein Pseudoverbot. Besitz und Kauf für den Privatgebrauch ist legal, du darst sie erwerben. Es gibt auch Gerichtsurteile, die den Umgang von beschlagnahmten Filmen in Deutschland unter Erwachsenen durchaus erlauben. Verboten ist der gewerbliche Vertrieb, das leihen an einen Freund kann durchaus erlaubt sein. In speziellen Kinovorführungen werden auch immer wieder mal §131 gezeigt. Gab mal ne Sondervorführung in Berlin, da lief the beyond ungekürzt .

The new movie The Hangover is nother good example: In the US it got an R-Rating for the language and sex and grug use and wahtnot and here it has a 12+ rating, which is very low.

An "LSCL" fand ich interessant, dass die Effekte von Giannetto De Rossi stammten und irgendwie die Zombies stark an die Fulci-Madensäcke erinnern, auch in der Art, wie sie sich bewegen. De Rossi war auch bei "Zombi 2" am Latex-Topf. Wobei der ja eher richtig oldschool noch mit Lehm und so Zeug gearbeitet hat. Möglicherweise war ja er der Erfinder der Fulci-Zombies und hat ihnen beigebracht, wie man richtig schlurft, damit die Lehm-Nase nicht wegbröselt. Nur so ein Eindruck/Verdacht.

It's strange but "Blood Feast" was filmed in Florida of all places. So since Blood Feast is the world's first gore film, than Florida is the birthplace for all gore/slasher films

Der "Jugenschutz" in Deutschland hat schon immer komische Angewohnheiten gehabt, und es ist völlig in Ordnung, wenn es geschnittene und ungeschnittene Versionen gibt, doch eine Beschlagnahmung ist ein harter Schritt, finde ich. Wenn der Film auf eine pikante Art und Weise mit schwierigen Themen zu tun hat (z.B. Naziverherrlichung und Folteranleitungen), kann ich es nachvollziehen. Politics here have been more and more harsh on violent films in the last months. A lot of new films are cut from the beginning and not even uncut in the cinemas (for example Doomsday).

Quite a few were banned in the UK. I believe you can collect them in a series of sets called Box of the Banned. Most I have as single DVDs though. Nice video!
