I call it "The Rising TWE". The logo starts with the camera on a grid with beeps, then it moves up with a similar Rising V jingle. That's wy I call it "The Rising TWE".
Can I just add that this is the most bizarre home video logo I've ever seen? (Unless I forgot one) The cliche grid that every 80s logo had, used for nothing; the bizarre, unsettling whistle music ending in a suspicious V of doom like jingle... mind you,t hey did distribute some bizarre films.
I've been to a lot of video stores, and I rememebr seeing the print version of this logo on the side of VHS boxes of B-films fromt he 70s and 80s. The exaple I recall is "Monster Dog" starring Alice Cooper. LOL :)

No, Trans World International is a different company, a sports-entertainment company. (The same people behind American Gladiators, etc.)

From what series or movie this logo was taken from?

trans world is still alive. They droped the "Entertainment" and put international instead. They are acquired by IMG.

Doesn't the tune at the end sound like the V of Doom's jingle?
mr3urious 5 years ago
Yep! It was a ripoff of the Viacom's "V of Doom" logo.
