If it's modular for moving, why haven't you got the joints running through the scenery and joints on the trackwork at the edge of the modules? when you pull the baseboards away from each other, the track will be damaged + the scenery?
With the Paper mashea You did a really nice job...on my friends layout (which someone put the Paper mashea on but did nothing else pretty much) The dude who did the paper machea fucked the whole thing so now I am "Patching" it up :P I used to work with that stuff all the time and I say you did a wonderful job ;-D
not complaing at all because nice video and layout. but if you had extra foam board you could cut it out and glue and shape alot easier but if your now custom to doing it fast go ahead just givin out ideas
James: I would mention to your viewers that the plaster cloth has a front and back. You want to lay it with the bumpy side up and smooth side down. Great Video.
You like to live dangerously! I would have taped over all the track in that area, and definitely wouldn't have those nice box cars sitting 1 foot away. Plaster is messy and finds it's way into/onto everything.
I like the first scene with the culvert. The river scene, I would add more layers of water. Give it depth. The trees need to not be little soldiers lined up on the river bank. You need more variety (height, spacing, color, etc) and that would tie the scene in. Keep up the good work.
Layout is starting to take shape! I've seen all your how-tos up to date I just have to stop and say how much I appreciate you taking the time to do this. I'm in the very early stages of getting a layout started and have learned a ton of stuff through your time and effort. Hopefully before to long I'll post something up on my own. Currently clearing the space to get it started...again, thanks so much
Love the series it has helped me a ton with my HO layout. Keep making videos!

you'll save money buy purchasing durable paper towels for the plaster wrap. Soak them in the woodland scenics plaster mix.

YOu might want to consider doing a scenery segment on terrain (Light terrain) with the foam board instead of plaster cloth and newspaper

Wow, where'd the scenery come from??? Great job, looks like your making some quick progress. How did you mount the back drop?
MrkmTrainFAN 9 months ago
Wow that looks great! Also where did you get the backdrop you have in the beginning of the video?

@mopacman511 realistic backgrounds is the name of the company. You'll have to google it since I can't put web addresses in here.
