@marcc1995 I won't be able to tell you whet the best shoes are, as everyone is diffrent.
My advice would be to try several completely diffrent types (running shoes, flat soled, plimsols, moutain boots etc etc.). see which one feels the best for you.
Great practice, editing, and music. I'm a traceur too, but it's hard to find anywhere to practice where I live (Carnation, Wa). 0:45 is most impressive to me, since I somewhat have a fear of pain. I keep thinking I'll slam into the rail.
thanks.... and watching your vid again inspires me to get out there and train again..... I Really hurt my knee recently while training, I Bailed, and I think I did some permenent damage. I've been just chillin and not doing anything since.
So thanks...... I'll try and practice more and get over my fear. Its only a sub-concious thing. I feel I can get over it pretty easily.
hey i've got a question,? in parkour do u hav 2 train like Gymnastics or something like learn how 2 be flexable?? or u just need 2 train on your sourandings??
you dont have to i learned my parkour normaly on the streets its better out ther more stuff to do and you dont have to leran that much parkour is with alot of work out and strong bodey
Hey man, I was gonna write some comments, but I read that your only 14, if you are, then fair play to you.
You have a nice way about you. I can see Zenos influence on your movement. Nice precisions, you could PULL more before your transition in your climbups an maybe recruit your legs a bit more, but there ok really.
Lots of explosion and impact, but still was pretty solid.
I don't know how long you've been training for, but you seem to be headed on the right track.
Check out my training methodology video if you want a few other things to try with your training. [ways to help with kinesthesia/proprioception/sensitivity/touch.
There are areas to train evrywhere, by watching videos you can see the creative ways traceurs use these enviroments and give you ideas in your own area. When i started parkour i thought there were no "good spots" for training, but a couple of months later i have found that its all in the mind and that there are spots everywhere.
I know u were asking traceurpaul but potencially working out the legs will just make them bigger and will possibly slack or get in ur way! probz might not make a difference in jumping cause i had chubby legs started free running got shorter legs gone straight into parkour which is a mix of different street urban techniques been out for ages, but how would i know the difference anyway but i don't think i'd workout the legs that much no more cause i hate having to big legs.
nice vid, had a good feel to it and everything was niiice and neat, very tidy. Just one thing that I hink you could improve very easily and you would see a big differance. On your climb ups (round about 1min 25ish) If you split the climb ups into two sections, the 'muscle up section' and the flick over the wall, you seem too be pausing for quite a while inbetween them as if your waiting to really steady yourelf but I think you could merge them together and it would quicken up alot.
I am glad you kept this old video up, because now you are one of the best!

then parkour is not the sport for u
shilohnouveljoliepit 2 years ago
I Beg to Differ........
first off, Parkour is not a sport, its a way of life, that just happened to become forgotten by people over time.
and second, Parkour is for anyone, whether not they have fear or not, all Obstacles CAN be Overcomed and Conqured, even Mental ones.
AceGForcer 2 years ago
agreed :) but parkour is sort of considered a sport also

do u need alot of strength for parkour?
shotdownangel 2 years ago
Well, mostly it depends on ur weight, but u will need some arm muscles for sure.
TheEvilC00kie 2 years ago
All round body strength is a must for doing Parkour I think. Check out TraceurZeno's body weight training videos for tips.

Very nice, man.. like someone else has already said, you're very lucky to have so much to work with. Parkour in India is very hard to practice.
Im 14 too, and my problem is that I'm too scared to commit to a speed vault...any tips? Thanks.
Also, i advise you to use more of your arms. Pull during your climbups and catgrabs.
