Free diving is normal with cage diving. It is the best way to keep the wildlife around and not scare them away with bubbles. This croc is fed from the cage, thus giving excellent close-up encounters for the tourists who want a thrill. I have only been with crocs in their natural habitat, but my time with white sharks was this sort of environment. Nothing like it. The photos are priceless

Mate it's a croc I have just had a photo taken with 'Burt" the croc, the only aligators they have are in different pens to this one and are alot smaller. Swimming with them is the best experience ever as long as they are active. Gets a bit boring if they are just relaxing on the bank.

@123darkia lol pigs arse. Alligators don't have external teeth, when their mouth is closed none of their teeth are visible. Only the saltwater crocodile has teeth that protrude out of its mouth when shut.

@semtex84: That's what I meant - crocodiles BOTTOM (and top) top teeth stick out, but alligators only have visible teeth on the upper jaw. Still, salt water crocodiles are not the only crocodillians to have external teeth - most do.

Another good way of telling croc/gator (or caimen) is the snout - crocos have thinner, more tapered snouts, while gators ( and caimen) tend to have much wider, broader jaws. Then theres stuff like gharials... Oi.

I would just like to point out to everyone that here in Australia we do not have alligators. We do however have 2 kinds of crocodile. The one featured in this video is a salt water croc, the most dangerous of the 2. The other species is the freshwater and they're smaller with long, thin saw-like snouts. Also, alligators have a very obvious under bite with a shorter rounder snout. Both our species of croc have a very prominent over bite with longer and pointier snouts.
