a better idea would be to increase the size of the launcher tube, then take the rockets and attach small stabilizing fins, then insert spacers between the fins to make a uniform round surface and keep the rocket in line with the bore while protecting the fins.

the spacers would fall free after leaving the muzzle allowing the more stable rocket to fly farther and straighter.

That thing is awesome! Great Job and Nice Paint. My brother and I use to mount those rocket engines to RC cars and use a ext. cord to light the rocket motor then the RC to control the direction. Lots of fun. The wood peg for aerodynamics is great! Keep up the good ideas!

with no payload your within the law. tells you all that right on the packet.

All he did is put it on a gunstock, and so long as he keeps shooting up without a payload hes legit.

I don't think this is a new idea, I seem to recall there were some made in the 40s or 50s, the main problems with them being inaccuracy and their not being effective at close ranges where the projectile has not had time to accelerate.

Still, a nice job and it's probably quite a fun toy.
