this is why I love the affair because no matter what I felt bad for everyone involved! I felt bad for Marlena, John, Roman, hell I even felt bad for Sami (though she used the affair as a way to explain her awful antics which pissed me off) like I'm sad a marriage ended but @ da end of the day JM got together and that's all that matters. Sorry RM fans but JM is the better couple! no contest

Don't get me wrong, Wayne was great as Roman, and his Roman and Marlena were magical in their day(once John came along all bets were off). That being said, I still can't feel sorry for Roman. He's the one who insisted that John leave the picture and he and Doc jump back into bed without reconciling the feelings that J&M had for each other. So he essentially put this whole thing into motion. I felt sorry for Marlena for her heart being torn in two and John for being ostracized, but never Roman.

Really well done and the perfect song for those moments! I miss those days no one does angst better than those 3 din in that storyline.

the affair? always - even with its consequences... this was the best written storyline ever - so much tension and such true feelings... now that I watch it, I do feel sorry for Roman, but it's crystal clear that it could never work the moment John entered the scene... ;)

Oh and Dee is so damn good at all those crying scenes! It's tough to watch but you can't stop... Love this. Oh those good old times... sigh.
