Starts out awesome, but the quality of the overall performance swings too much, especially when it comes to the lead singer. On the second verse he just cracks completely. Such a shame. Also it's becomes too over the top with added "effects" as the song progresses. They should have just left it as they started and passes all that noise screaming in the middle.

i was aiming that towards ennui, not you deester..lol and I checked out that version as you "recommended," and yes the difference is that this soloist is a seasoned singer who doesn't need to riff on every last word to try and make something half-decent

yeah, there definitely is a difference but i think both are really good...i think the main difference is in the style presented..this one is a little thicker, more soulful, and flowier while the other has a lighter-sounding arrangement and a more delicate sound.  personally i prefer this one--it's a bit warmer.
