  • HOLY SHIT THERE IS AN EASY BUTTON IN THE BACKROUND!!!

  • I LOVE Delta blues too. I think that its just something that speaks to everyone no matter who you are, a type of music with emotion.

  • You are the man!

  • Great Video, I'm 17 and am a huge fan of the blues. Of course I like 'modern' music but my heart is in listening to and also playing Blues. Son House, Robert Johnson, Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters ect I just love it. I got a harmonica recently and my bands songs are inspired by this music combined with the influence of bands today. I owe a lot to the blues, it must of been amazing to grow up in an era where you felt the Blues. Great Video, Cheers man :)

  • awesome! ;D

  • Thank you once again for sharing Peter! Missed the tunes!

  • Thank you for sharing this with us.

  • Gah, I haven't tuned in in quite some time, I forgot how much I enjoyed these stories.

  • Thanks for sharing your passion, Peter! Hugs!

  • Great video, respect! :)

  • great video dude! excellent music you got playing there , any chance of a track listing?

  • Thank you (again) for sharing such incredible pieces of your world with us. Every single one makes me think of all the stories my parents, grandparents, and for a while great grandparents told... My dad played jazz and blues full time for 12 years before I was born, after which he went part time, and dancing around to their practice sessions is a highlight of my childhood.

  • Excelent!

  • Listen to Old Crow Medicine Show (: might like 'em

  • Thank you for sharing Peter, you are so awesome. ^___^ <3 XOX

  • Do you like Robert Johnson, Peter?

  • Is Bo Diddley blues, jazz or rockabilly, love his music

  • Peter, I didn't know you were such a hipster. Good stuff.

  • Out of curiosity, how many Zimmers remain with us to this day and other than Alf and Winnie, are the rest of the crew still quite active? What became of group after the loss of Alf? Does the group have a new lead singer? I tip my hat to you guys, as old people are often left forgotten. There's no sadder place than a nursing home.

  • @Utuber1951 Unfortunately four of the original members have now died and others no longer take part in performances for various reasons. This leaves Grace and myself as the most elderly of the original group. It isn't possible for all of us to take part in every performance so selections are made according to the venue and expense.

  • @geriatric1927

Sorry to hear about the loss of 4 members. Does Buster Martin (even if he is 97 vs 106) still participate? Also, glad the group still remains for performances. Who now sings with the loss of Alf

  • Good video as usual Peter. Silly me went and watched it twice on both your channels. (Well, I was also busy coding here and couldn't be bothered to switch windows and stop it, oh well). Hehehe. :)

    Hugs,

    Michael

  • Peter, Thanks for sharing this vid to the world of music lovers.

  • It's awesome to see you're still making videos! I remember when you first blew up the youtube scene several years ago.

  • Once again, I love you! xxx

  • Very nice video. I subscribed last week, and I find you so interesting to listen to.=)

  • Thank you for this share. I enjoy Blues music also.

  • Thanks!!

  • What a wonderful story of you past Peter! I really enjoyed this video! Thanks for sharing!

  • I LOVE Blues! :-D

  • I just love you Peter. I've been watching you for years... thank you

  • I just love you Peter. I've been watching you for years and you are a serious gentleman.

  • I was interested in how you said you could never explain your love for blues. I think that's the wonder of the blues and the wonder of all music, we don't have to explain why we love it so much we just do. It clicks in our minds.

  • thank you for sharing this!! :)

  • When you listen to early blues tunes and compare them Lomax recordings of field hollers and African music, you can hear the true lineage going right back to the soil. The soil the nursed us all. It doesn't matter if you're black, white, red, brown, purple or yellow. It doesn't mattered if you're 10 or 110, rich or poor. Blues resonates in your heartbeat and is written in your bones. If you have a blues shaped void that you try all music to fill. When you finally find it, its a revelation.

  • I could watch you for forever Peter. :-) You've brought blues to me.

  • i play a bit of blues, did you ever play blues , cigar box or bottle neck guitar peter?

  • So good he uploaded it twice!

  • Interesting stuff. :)

  • My mother liked the blues as well. She also liked big band and swing music and Hawaiian music. Frank Sinatra, B.B. King. Luis Armstrong, The Rat Pack. Now me I like blues, jazz, music from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. I like Hawaiian music as well.

  • Of which the deceased is one of the most beloved. Yukon Jack and the west of Semlin.

  • It's definately not the devils music, it's Heavenly :) Im Preparing the first song, Im writing some riffs, and I need to present my ideas to my drumer.

  • It's definately not the devils music, it's Heavenly :)

  • @geriatric1927 It won't really be focused on blues music (although I do enjoy it) but on the topic of music. I had it planned anyway.

  • Happy new years Peter ! <3

    Great video, as always !

  • My dad used to play Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf records when I was a little boy, nothing as early as the delta blues that you were talking about, but blues all the same. I think it made a significant enough impact on my psyche that most of the artists I listen to are directly or indirectly influenced by blues, and pure blues is, to me, utterly timeless music.

  • What a great video! It makes me so sad that not many folk in my generation are interested in Jazz and Blues, particularly blues roots, given how much it has influenced so much music throughout this century. :)

  • Great video Peter.Happy new year from Sweden.Keep upp the great work with your videos.

  • @cybersmurfen Tummen upp på det :)

  • A good video, I might be able to do a video response on it.

  • Martin Scorsese is one, if not my favourite director!
