You should download a PSone Emulator and play it yourself. The game is insanly amazing. Not only does it scare you shitless, it also tells a story that not even games like Final Fantasy can match. Silent Hill is a mental holocauster.

The movie sucked pretty hard in my opinion.

It's thank's to the movie that I discovered the games, and I think it wasn't that bad. You can not recreate the atmosphere, but it's still captivating, and for somebody who didn't knew the game, it's fantastic !

Alessa GiIlespie is in the movie, while also in Silent Hill und mentioned throughout SH3 (especially in the cut-scene when Heather and Douglas are in the car driving to Silent Hill).
