They're supposed to be a Guardians of the Galaxy movie coming out, so that covers Nova and Rocket Raccoon is slated to appear in the second season of Avengers, not to mention the Avengers movie itself which covers Hawkeye and the second Ghost Rider movie just around the corner. Vergil's in due to DmC and the DMC HD collection, Firebrand for Gargoyle's Quest, Nemesis for the Resident Evil for Umbrella Chronicles....

@trillination Actually, Phoenix Wright is a quite popular character in his own right. The Rocket Raccoon complaints are because nobody knows who he is,but since he's a raccoon and doesn't look as awesome as Nova does,he's receiving way more complaints then Nova,who seems to be an equally unknown character. The God tier thing is just my guess that they might do that to shut people up. I don't care that Megaman isn't in the game, because he kind of seems bland...but that's just my 2 cents. :)

Megaman...I played him in MvC2 and the powerup-getting is just stupid. I basically get sick of it and resort to nothing but blaster after about 15 seconds. But the games are just run and shoot,so that's to be expected.

I don't see what the big deal about releasing umvc3 is. Its 40 bucks with 12 new characters, and a couple.new and reworked stages. If it was released as dlc, 5 bucks a character will add up to 60, plus all the extra updates and reworked mechanics to eat up hard drive space. On top of that, you can trade the old game in and get some cash back. Quit whining about it unless forty dollars is really with that mug to you.

So they chose to release a standalone title with the new characters. Other DLC characters have been confirmed to be a possibility if the sales of UMvC3 go well.

@Djstudiosgold youre forgetting how versatile he is, he could come in with the falcon armor, gaea armor or even the ultima armor, since we have Zero (the mmx version), he could come in as Megaman X, he literally has around 50+ weapons from megaman X up to megaman X6 or x9, youre thinking about him as megaman classic in the previous marvel vs capcom, but the game stepped up so now hes character and attacks should aswell

@trillination "that ace attorney jerk" was next to Megaman as the 2nd most requested Capcom character for UMvC3 in a poll. We should really be complaining about Nova, because face it;once Rocket Raccoon is a God Tier,nobody will be whining anymore about how much more Venom or Gambit deserved it. Who in god's name knows who Nova is anyways? He looks pretty cool,sure but seriously I've never heard of him at all.

They're really pushing peoples buttons by not adding him. and yes i feel ANTI-venom wood have been perfect not regular venom though.

@trillination Actually, Phoenix Wright is a quite popular character in his own right. The Rocket Raccoon complaints are because nobody knows who he is,but since he's a raccoon and doesn't look as awesome as Nova does,he's receiving way more complaints then Nova,who seems to be an equally unknown character. The God tier thing is just my guess that they might do that to shut people up. I don't care that Megaman isn't in the game, because he kind of seems bland...but that's just my 2 cents. :)

@trillination Ryu may be bland,but at least he's the original bland fighting game character. It's kind of like everyone else following in his footsteps and making him seem unoriginal. Megaman...I played him in MvC2 and the powerup-getting is just stupid. I basically get sick of it and resort to nothing but blaster after about 15 seconds. But the games are just run and shoot,so that's to be expected.

I don't see what the big deal about releasing umvc3 is. Its 40 bucks with 12 new characters, and a couple.new and reworked stages. If it was released as dlc, 5 bucks a character will add up to 60, plus all the extra updates and reworked mechanics to eat up hard drive space. On top of that, you can trade the old game in and get some cash back. Quit whining about it unless forty dollars is really with that mug to you.

And why the fuck would I want to download all the DLC outside of staying ahead in competitions? Aren't fighting games about playing with your favorite characters? It's a shame Marvel's only in this to advertise their IPs and denied the use of old Venom. They couldn't care less if the game were to die out in a few years.

@MyAnkleTheLeprechaun They were originally supposed the release all the new characters in this game as DLC for the base MvC3 but the earthquake in Japan made it in impossible to do that on time. So they chose to release a standalone title with the new characters. Other DLC characters have been confirmed to be a possibility if the sales of UMvC3 go well.

The reason this content would be better as dlc, is that we could then buy what we wanted, instead of being forced to spend more money and get characters we don't care about. Also, to the best of my recollection, "49.99" is a little closer to 50 bucks, than it is to 40. If you LIKE the game and CAN afford it, that's simply great. We're not all up for it, though.

But instead, we get an incomplete game for 60 dollars only to find later that there is a better version of that same game with content that should have been there from the beginning for 40. In the end you would have spend 100 dollars for one game (more if you purchased any DLC that Capcom decided not to include in the game).. Obviously, people are going to feel ripped off...
