as a central midfielder this guy was awesome, ok his tackling was a bit dodgy but everything else was simply brilliant. i play in the same position now, i used to be on the wing and it hard work getting that much time/space but scholesy seem to make it effortless.

plus he always seemed to just let his football do his talking, you didn't hear about him out on the town, he was simply a bloke who did what he enjoyed most play football. And boy he was good!!

I have to admit that I feel a little bit "sad" now when Scholes is retiring!

I'm an Arsenal fan and remember all the fights and red cards it has been between Arsenal and Man Utd over the years(early Years) .. and I hated Roy Keane and Paul Scholes!
