Minecraft Tutorial - Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders v1.1

I installed this mod step by step, did the tweak improvements and optifine and EVERYTHING. When I play on a world, it shows waving tall grass and hd graphics and all that EXCEPT shadows. Any help on fixing this?

just to give you a tip , you should record your tutorials with camtasia studio 7 its 1000x better than what you use for recording ;)

@kingdomheartsfan1346 Step 1 - stop panicking :D step 2 - if you backed up your minecraft.jar, replace it with the modded one. If you didn't, just delete your bin folder, run Minecraft from the exe, and it'll re-download it. Should be fine after that :)

Shit.... so I installed it anyways and guess what? It fucked up. Yep. It works fine until you click and join a server or play a SP world you made. It would say "Simulating world for a bit" and then crash. It'd just dissapear. gone. WHAT THE FUCK!?!?! Also, after I clicked on the istallation exe thing and it says installation complete, I close it and windows gives me a message saying that the program was installed incorrectly..... It gives me two options:

Ok i figured it out why its not working... I have other mods wich are not compatibile(i spelled that wrong, didn't i?) with it. So i have another question... HOW DO YOU UNINSTALL IT??? PLZ HEEELP!!!

@ThundraViper Replace your modded .jar with a clean minecraft.jar file. If you didn't back it up, re-download it from the minecraft site :)

Where do you get the Motion Blur Mod ?

@kevin3157 It's either a part of optifine, which is required to run this, or it's in the shaders mod. Nothing extra installed.

@WeasleFireable It works. Have patience, take a deep breath. Google 'where is my minecraft.jar file' with your operating system (it's in different places depending on what your OS is). It's in a hidden folder, so you'll need to make sure your folder permissions allow you to view hidden files and folders. Again, if you don't know how to do this, google it.

@WeasleFireable My puter's pretty hefty. Running it dropped my FPS from a few hundred to between 30 and 70. Not sure how well it will run on lower spec computers but there's only one way to find out :)

When you opened the installer.exe it said the shaders were 2.1.2 for 1.1.0

Why does mine say both 2.0.0 for 1.0 and 2.1.2 for 1.1.0

I cannot get rid of the 1.0 version and I don't know why it is there when I've never downloaded this before...

God I wish my laptop was a suited and booted gaming computer. It's only about a year and a half old but I'm sure it doesn't have enough ram or any of the other computer stuff I would need for mods like this. Hell, I can barely get no lag on a normal render distance on a default texture pack.

i installed this mod a while ago coz of Luclin, the mod is great but as you said its a hardware killer, sadly my computer, which i think is pretty good, can only run minecraft at 10-15 FPS which isnt that good. I even done all the tweaks that were recommended.

Thanks for that Pixie. Might I suggest the Mincraft Magic Launcher? It allows you to easily manage the loading of mods and you are not required to change your minecraft.jar file manually. All mods are loaded externally (perhaps not this one but I haven't looked at how it can be loaded manually instead of using the exe!) Give it a look :) I love it. (Google on Magic Launcher on the Minecraft forums!)

The mod is … um … “okay”. Nothing more. It ridiculous needing an uber high-end computer and getting buggy shadows and low frame rate in Minecraft while other games have perfect graphics and high frame rate on same system. Notch totally messend the lighting and generating concept up back in the days. Jeb would need years to fix all that faults. He’d better rewrite it completely.

@Linuxdirk I agree, Minecraft is ridiculously demanding compared to other games. Fair enough, it's an indie game and whatnot, but with the amount of money Mojang has made and the amount of time they've had, you'd at least expect them to have ironed out most of the bugs.
