    THEO/ 17/11/2011

  • Beautiful...beautiful flowers and a wonderful singer....I actually have one of these cactuses, and I'm a huge fan of Eva Cassidy...great combo.

  • My mom's been nurturing one of these for years. it's a big plant, she got 20+ blooms one night and more the next night.

  • Just got some cuttings of this. I can't wait!

  • Beautiful! I sure wish I had one but I live in nashville.

  • I have one at home,it blooms every time at 10:30

  • never seen this flower b4..its big...white...n i luv it...very beautiful...what its name?

  • @dewibiruus They call it the Night Blooming Cereus. Some call it Queen of the Night. We call it here Engkantadora, translated as Enchantress in English. It is a cactus-like plant that blooms rarely. The flower buds, once mature will open for only one night and will give off an exotic spicy scent; the scent is very unique. In my opinion, it gives a scent like a rose, combined with jasmine, vanilla and Ylang Ylang with a hint of ginger As soon as the dawn comes, the bloom withers and dies.

  • apparently this flower is really rare.

  • These flowers are beautiful!

  • What a pretty flower!

  • I have one this ... great!

  • are this plants the one that smell at night?

  • @tacos9102 Yes, when the flower begins to grow, the smell overpower you like a drug or perfume you have never smelled before..... so beautiful!!

  • 曇花一現!超美啊!

  • @cwslai Although I can't read this, I think it's a positive reaction?! Thank you.

  • @Ann0508 Use Google Translator to read it. ;)

  • @Ann0508 It's say's this "Flash in the pan! U.S. super-ah!" That's all I can tell you.

Sometimes you can right click over the writing and then choose translate then the it should change to your language, because your PC should have been set up with your primary language. OK?

  • Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. I think the song is performed by Eva Cassidy. She got a nice voice.

  • @urCherieAmor Yes this is the voice of Eva Cassidy. Her voice is so beautiful, so I mixed within the video I've maid from the Queen. With the send of the flower, the combination was amazing. Thank you for your comment.

  • @Ann0508 I heard flowers actually like being spoken to and enjoy music, that they grow faster for gardeners who leave a radio on with some slow calm music. So this doesn't surprise me. Where would a person get the seeds for something like this? Or did you buy it as a seedling?

  • the most beautiful cactus flower ever. my mother had plenty of them, red, white and kind of peach beautiful. tks 4 sharing

  • aangezien je toch nederlands praat vraag ik het even in het nederlands.

waar haal je zo een bloem en in welke periode bloei ze.

ik wil er zo grg ook één!!!!

    super mooi.

  • Hello vondelmolen,

  • My sister had a midnight vigil party last year when hers had a number of blooms! Amazing scent. I have a cutting from her that is doing well.
