  • clothes? this is more just like art

  • Truly best show of dior EVER

  • 240p we meet again...

  • The word amazing wouldn't even cover it...this is drama at its best.

  • What's the title of the BG music?

  • I know what John did was terrible but he's only human and he made a mistake. It was unnecessary to fire someone who carried the Dior name to a whole new level. By firing John, they are basically ruining the Dior name.

  • Belleza indescriptible en cada pieza, arte pura, elegancia, pasión, romanticismo, lujo, DIOR

  • GALLIANO WILL COME BACK, DIOR WILL NOT SURVIVE WITHOUT HIM...

  • emotion

  • One of the best John Galliano has ever done

  • The most beautiful presentation I have ever seen.

  • Well, he may have been as the best among other designers...but man, his clothes are great, they are, but he puts absolutely the most shallow messages along with them and his music choices are AWFUL. So, in terms of the whole presentation, I'd say McQueen owns everyone else because he tied it all together without being really obvious, and really campy about it.

  • BRING BACK GALLIANO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bring back John Galliano!

  • Well, Galliano, you dumbass motherfucker, thanks to you, I'll be starved of great fashion for a good while and you'll be out of a job.

  • They need to release a DVD of all his collections and fashion shows.

    It is a MUST.

This is why Galliano was regarded as the best among McQueen, Ford and Jacobs. None of the rest could envision something like this, even if they are (were) all spectacularly talented individually. Galliano was a cut above the rest though. His late years were less than spectacular and very business driven, but he had plenty of these moments that were explosive and orgasmic.

  • I could cry with this, this is art, this is real inspiration, I'm in love with this collection!

  • Whats the song just before stranger i moscow?

  • @LouniBinKweer i wan that song as well. i guess it should be compossed by ryuichi sakamoto since the style is similar... hope someone can help me ;(

  • @billybuzy I found it ... It's called Song to the Siren by This Mortal Coil. Featured on the soundtrack of The Lovely Bones. Hope that helps!

  • @LouniBinKweer omg.... u simply make my day! thank u soo much <3

  • Stunning opening by Pei, her movements lovely.

  • beautiful!!

  • that first model is EXQUISITE!!!!

  • @jayson1039 Her name is Emma Pei.

  • what nome of the first music?

que est ce le nom du premiere music?

  • does anyone know the name of the song at 8:03?

  • @plumazo5 Madame Butterfly humming chorus. by Puccini... mixed with Stranger in moscow by Michael jackson. its as the MJ songs comes into play so they are overlayed. i like that part

  • I will pay a lot for these outfits, I know I can;t afford them, but I will pay.

  • you WOULD pay....

  • MAN I WISH I WAS CREATIVE AS GALLIANO

  • You know, the models might ACTUALLY seem attractive if they stopped and smiled at the men helping them up and down the stairs and not pretend to be pompus and ignore them. UGly show.

  • @BlueAsianDragon its not about the models nor is it about them smiling to people its about the clothes. Secondly, the models are told what type of compusure they should have during the show. Their composure goes with the tone of the show. Neither they nor the stage hands are getting paid to talk to each other while the show is going on. Finally, most models dont smile on the runway because their facial expressions will come out poorly in the various shots of them walking.

  • @BlueAsianDragon the men are paid to assist the models. This is fashion, haute couture specifically. Why are you here if you have no knowledge on the fashion industry. Models do not "smile" on the runway. unless that runway is some "fashion runway" like victoria secret"

  • @BlueAsianDragon why would they smile when they are concentrating on performing and staying vertical in 6inch heels????? its a job which they perfom with the utmost devotion and that i know, worked in fashion for a long time amd models are some of the worst treated and hardest working people in the industry and they are the nicest people to boot, never insult a model, they work hard and have no ego. learn!!!!!

  • i love hitler too !!!! what's wrong? it's just my opinion ! , i didn't hurt anyone in my life

btw you will be greate than the past in your career ...i believe in you cuz ur an angel or someone from another world ... ....love you

  • Galliano is luxurious and magnificent...why you speaked that nonsenses against the jews, John? you only got to ruin your brilliant career.

  • "WHY JOHN GALLIANO? WHY?!!!"

  • Follow the men fashion

    up and coming jewelry Designer...

    ^_^

  • @krxyz1 would you mind posting the article? would love to read it!

  • @diorlver As for the sales figures info, see/search NY Times article on Sidney Tolendano, president of CD, titled, "Man of the House," pg. 3. The other info comes from a documentary of Galliano from the 90's, titled, Galliano (dir. Nigel Wattis). They used to air it on Bravo years ago, even taped it, but the video just got blurry from watching it so much-- darn VHS!

  • can anyone tell me who the model is that opened the show?

    thanks!

  • Her name is Du Juan, from China.

  • @maebhu it is actually Emma Pei Bei (IMG) and not Du Juan who opened. I don't think Du Juan was cast in this show.

  • John designed the fan on the cover of Malcolm McLaren's "Fans" album, "with little strips of Chinese newspaper" according to Amanda Harlech, who became his muse and then later left for Chanel. The song used here originates from that album. This collection, I just read, had record sales for Dior Haute Couture.

  • never holds back. makes my eyes water. so beautiful

  • This show and the '04 haute couture are the blueprint for how Modern haute couture should be made. Just my opinion.

  • I LOVE THE ORIGAMI DRESSES!!! BEST CHRISTIAN DIOR FASHION SHOW EVER

  • he is just, amazing. creative and talented. check out my fashion blog: umartian.webs.com

  • Jonh Galliano is truly a genius, he creates haute couture garments that are bigger than life, filled with fantasy and to me thats what fashion is about.

  • 1:30 raquel looks amazing, and i love the pattern on her coat

  • @tuberman97 she is anja

  • Really the most amazing fashion show. I watch this again and again - always inspires me.

  • one of the best fashionshows, i ever saw. perfect, superb, grandios

  • @phidinhtran I'm not sure. I just remember seeing the backstage photos of this Christian Dior Haute Couture show in Vogue magazine, and there was a picture of Du Juan. I'm probably messing up information. Pardon my mistake if there is so any, which I'm not sure. :D

  • DU JUAN!!!!!!!!!! -muah-

  • @BystanderTazme she was in this show??? i thought the only asians in this were ai tominaga, emma pei, and mo wandan

  • I sell full catwalk shows from designers Chanel, Versace, Dior etc dating back from 1991, these vintage shows are very rare, message me for more details

  • the model at 4:26 looks like Danielle from season 6 of ANTM, dunno.

  • What is the name of the first song?

  • RIP Malcolm Mclaren.

  • @sadisticboredviewer RIP AS WELL-THIS MAN WAS INSPIRATIONAL-would Westwood be as big today if it weren't for his shrewd business savvy.......?

  • OMG this asian inspired collection is so cool D: Dress at 4:35 Looks like a Geisha XD I like all the dresses on the models that have their face made white.

  • @Sk88p - well all the white girls faces are painted white, maybe john galliano knows how ridiculous a black woman would look in white face.

Thank God that all the top desingers use all types of models to show there collections not just the white ones. They know who look best in there clothes, and are not bigots like some people.

  • i wonder why they don't use 1080P camera to shoot the show <3<3 it is one the anniersary shows of Dior!!!!!

  • amazing!

  • 5:45, this models skin is FLAWLESS! :)

THE DRESS AT 9:27 stunns me

  • @tuberman97 - then you might find it hard to believe that model is about 40-years old here. Debra Shaw, one of Galliano's greatest muses.

  • Galliano's STRONGEST Dior Haute Couture Collection to this date! :)

  • lol i love the moss out of the models hair!!!!!1111

  • 5:30 is my favourite piece

  • ah, found it! malcolm mclaren madame butterfly for anyone who mite b intrested!

  • @screamingdreams thanks ive been trying to find it since i first saw this show bck in 07 so inspiring to a fledgling fashion student

  • this is the show which most inspires me- amazing..also does anyone know where u can get this madame butterfly remix??

  • This is a large then usual haute couture collection. I think it was in celebration of John Galiano's 10 years at Dior.

  • amazing...

  • this got me into fashion. i will love it forever.

  • uno de los desfiles que mas megustaron de galiano!!!!!!!FANTASTICO

  • John Galliano is a genius for creating this! Mr Dior would be proud!

  • Is the model who opens the show Emma Pei? I can't tell who is who with that makeup.

    Stunning collection!!!

  • STUNNING!!!

  • the best couture ever

  • This collection is simply brilliant. Obviously Japanese influenced, I like the way he incorporates various aspects of the culture, from the kimono-inspired designs and origami folds to the seaweed-colored dress at 6:40 and the famous Japanese painting on the dress at 7:50. Creative stage presentation, too! ;)

  • This is Japanese influenced or themed but you can tell the classic Couture shapes. i see tons of 50's Balenciaga references, like definitely in the 3/4 skirts with tails and the big sleeves and other shapes in the coats and the dresses for sure.

  • my favorite

  • galliano thinks he is mr.dior

  • Could someone please upload part 2?

  • yeh :/ its good the musics back but part two? :y

  • where is part 2????????????

  • DIVINA..

  • A dressess from the OTHER WORLD

  • i think this collection was the last great collection by him....everything is amazingly beautiful...

  • One of his best shows aside from 94's Egyptian extravaganza.

  • Feast for the eyes. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous collection. Galliano's genius in full force in this couture collection.

  • donde puedo conceguir la foto de la partte de atras del vestido que uso eva green el rojo

  • Dior released their latest couture collection for s/s 2010. But! This collection, I feel, is still the BEST collection couture collection Galliano has offered Dior. The garments, the styling, the merging of japanese and european aesthetics, the music, the staging, everything in this collection is beautiful, experimental/daring, and STRONG.

  • and the 2nd part????????????

  • the most beautiful fashion shoiw of the decade

  • @febeilina Probably RIGHT...

  • whats the name of this song

  • @mrnnoe Madame Butterfly by Malcom McLaren

  • @mrnnoe This mortal coil song - song to the siren

  • @mrnnoe stranger in moscow by michael jackson

  • madame butterfly of malcom mclaren

  • i love this collection its so beautiful.

    eres lo maximo (CD)

  • eso es arte

  • Origami design

  • The best seam of the world is it of Dior. This one clear.

  • who calls the dior couture a "shit" isnt really normal i think...

  • Very rich women obviously. Couture is like a club, not just anyone is invited or can become a client--a lot of the new clients are Russian and Asians. American, European, and Middle Eastern women have been couture's lifeblood. Also, what you see is not what you get. The clients work with the atelier to create a tamed down version of what you see in the show.

  • @krxyz1

everyone can buy it. no house will turn down a purchase of 100 000 dollars.

  • @TheSpiritualShow

watch the bbc documentary "the secret world of haute couture", if you can find it.

  • The Best Collection and The Best Show of Galliano.

  • beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love the collection.

  • 4:09 IS THAT YASMIN WARSAME??

  • @Bass0nist

    yes it's yasmin warsame.

  • Perfect!

  • thank youu! :D

  • the best haute couture show of all times¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ bravo galliano you maked of dior the best fashion house togheter with chanel& karl

  • haute couture is really expensive thats why they do a ready-to-wear line take take differnt elements of a haute couture garment and put it in the ready-to-wear line for thousands of dollars cheaper.but if you got a couple thousand laying around you can afford it but it truly a invest ment and the quality and craftsmenship is great and its true art if i were a woman i would save up a couple a thousand dollars and every 5 year i would buy me a peice of haute couture and i would wear a peice out

  • This is "Mode Japone style"by galliano.

    He said.

    origami geisha.maiko.ukiyoe

    Not chinese or Korean style.

  • I love Dior....and John Galliano is best designer for me...this show is very nice...interesting

  • who is the model at 5:37? i think she's gorgeous.

  • alexandra agoston, australian¡

  • This show is so stunning. I'm not really into fashion anymore, but Dior Couture is true art

  • The clothes are not ugly.. The idea for Haute Couture is to make outfits made for people who can afford them.. They are also over exaggerated to show the theme for the fashion, from which they will make other clothes at more affordable prices :)

  • they look like barbiedolls

  • you mean the UGLIEST THINGS* TO WEAR IN THE WORLD and NO, THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THINGS IN THE WORLD TO EVEN LAY EYES ON!!!! IT WILL COST YOU THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO EVEN GET TO WEAR!!!!!!

  • wow, you're pretty pitiful to judge haute couture like that.

within the next 10 to 20 years, the idea of this show will be apart of pop culture and contemporary fashion.

  • Malcolm McLaren <3

  • Aw, Lily Cole looks stunning as usual at 6:22, she has a certain elegance and a slight air of mystery about her. Lover her

  • ok call me crazy but they should have hired john galliano to create the costumes for the upcoming alice in wonderland...

  • John Galliano is brillant...

  • Japanese culture is centuries old as is chinese, but they are 2 entirely different things. The fact that people compare them as similar is 1.ridiculous and 2. insulting to the other.

  • Is not insulting but it shows how ignorant a person can be...

  • origami to wear

  • lov this show...reminds me of alica and wonderland

  • impressive, wish to watch this in HD

  • first song???

  • "Madam Butterfly" by Malcolm McLaren

and this is the most amazing, breathtaking fashion show I have ever seen :D
