Gracias Mikel!!!
The castigada goes straight back. The boleo goes to the side. Thus the lead, as Dario points out, is different. The woman's knees should usually stay close together. (Incidentally, Spanish speakers sometimes mis-spell boleo as voleo.)
I just discovered your Tango Guide on YouTube and find it absolutely wonderful! Fabulous lessons! They are well explained and detailed with separate foot steps for men and women --then putting it all togther with wonderful music. Very helpful to me, a beginner. I can practice at home. Thanks, Dario
Sorry, to me, showing separate men and woman parts is useless. Tango is about communication, connection. The people do not dance separately and the motion of each is a reaction to the other. For me, as a man, my main concern is on how to mark where I want my partner to move, and secondarily on where I will put my feet once that happens.
How is this different, as a movement, from the voleo?
I will have to agree with you %100, but I think also that not everybody learn the same way. Some people see the step better after they are shown their own steps, that way is easier for ,some people. There are also others that can see the steps when the see it with a partner, And seeing the step by the leader only or the followers only, makes no sence at all for them. But we try to make these little videos for all the tangueros out there that need a little refreshment after class :)
Also the Castigada ( easily confused with the fron boleo) is diferent because in this step the stronger "part" of the lead is in the footwork (like a sacada) this causes the partner to do the Castigada( action ,reaccion), intead the boleo (fron or back)there is no contact at all in the feet, is all a circular lead in the upperbody( they both come front ochos or back ochos).Boleo video #9
se llama "Mi Serenata",música de E.Donato intrepretada por Canaro/f.Amor.

I believe this to be Donato himself in 1940 with the singing of Romeo Gavio (Romeo Gavioli) and Lita Morales.

Hey guys, don't say showing the man's and woman's sequence of the dance is useless. It's beneficial for the beginners.

Mr. tanquerochas, the word you used "useless" is inapproprate. Dario is only teaching the beginners. To me you are no good teacher.
