If I am not mistaken the name is probably derived from Baron Samedi, a Haitian Voodoo "loa" (Spirit god... thing) who supposedly had the ability to awaken the dead. I explained this in the video but had to cut it due to time. :)

and yea his name is believed to be derived from the french word for saturday although they arn't 100% about the names origin.
