  • I'm ten and I have celiac disease so this was a lot of help we know lots more now

  • I've just been diagnosed with this and I was dreading it coz I'm a fussy eater! But there are loads of cook books with great recipes to help u out ...... Bye bye big macs and hello carrot sticks :s

  • @richyminns Good for you-you will feel great xxx

  • I'm going for my biopsy next month for celiac disease as my doctor took blood tests from me that point to me having it. I'm a bit nervous because I'm not a fan of hospitals but it is worth it. I have symptoms like bloating, gas, depression, mood swings, teeth discolouration, feeling sick- like wanting to vomit, tiredness, no energy. I kind of hope I have celiacs as if this can turn my life around then I'll take it on.

  • @bellabop88 so how did you go??? Hope you kept eating gluten until you had the biopsy, otherwise it won't be accurate??? xxx

  • Dude, this was a good presentation, and you're hot, sweet

  • @SteveAndrewLangford Thanks x

  • No disease is forever if pathology is reversible. Celiac is a curable disease as is lactose intolerance.Know symptoms, onset, factors that modify the disease/symptoms (can eat gluten foods in cold weather or with paw paw). It is hard finding a grain substitute that doesn’t lack nutritionally, Chickpeas fill this void, and come in flour form. The body can be trained to tolerate substances, via a method of desensitization/based on a homoeopathic principle and is commonly done with allergies. Adios

  • @k19singh It's not something I am prepared to try when I can be 100% well without it. Gluten is not GREAT for the body anyway xxx

  • I was just diagnosed with it 2 days ago.... they told me my stomach was 50% eroded... I havent eaten gluten in 2 days and I am always scared foods I am eating has it hidden in it. I am only 20 & kinda scared. I have eaten bread since I was a baby. So alot of my food changes have been completely changed. How do you deal with going out to eat and making sure there is no gluten?? I am also allegric to wheat....

  • @ThisWarIsOursAliens It's all ok-don't panic...just eat more plain foods when you go out...fresh and unprocessed is best...read about gluten and be informed...it's not that hard-i promise xxx

  • @ThisWarIsOursAliens There are a bunch of great resources out there for the newly diagnosed….check out books like "Wheat Free Worry Free," "Celiac Disease for Dummies," "Celiac Disease: A Hidden Epidemic," "Dangerous Grains" and such….and google "Celiac Central" or check out the myriad of gluten free blogs out there!! The key is to inform yourself and become an advocate for yourself and CD. I've been diagnosed for 5 years.

  • @bes508 Thanks for the great information! Its such a blessing to have guidance for this process :)

  • Hey. That was Such a warm and inviting video. I was just diagnosed about half an hour ago and im freeking out. Mind you, the full extent of it, hasn't hit me yet, but the early stages are still making me fret as i am only 25 aswell. Love your videos so far, gonna watch em all! Thanks

  • @razorboy6666 That's great-thanks!!! It's really and truly not that bad so don't panic xxx

  • You are lovely, what a positive and kind presentation, super helpfull and made me smile, you are a gorgeous person inside and out!!!!

  • @4galsone That's so nice-thanks xxxxx

  • I too had the fever blister/canker sores...but no more now that I got gluten outta my diet. And as for the part about skinny...there was nothing attractive about looking like a heroin addict...and police did think I was one not only because of me extremely low weight, but also my pupils remained super tiny even in the dark. This was due to neurological trouble the gluten was giving me.

  • @DiaShanti WOW-glad you are well now xxx

  • Great video. Could someone tell me how soon I should begin to feel better after I stop consuming foods with gluten??

  • @MyVideos1121 It's pretty quick-2 weeks.... xxx

  • For those trying to body build and having issues with gluten there is hope. I have isolated a great pre/post workout carb. Brown rice and buckwheat flour cooked into thick paste (just cook enough to soften, don't overcook). By being both cooked and in a paste it is far easier to digest and less irritation to digestive tract (has a higher glycemic index cooked so combine with fats to reduce). I like buckwheat paste with over easy eggs. Dextrose works well pre/during/post for quick glycogen.

  • @MormonManUtah Thanks xxx

  • Thanks for the Positivity, I was diagnosed about a year ago and have struggled to stick to gluten free. Being an Aussie bloke I love a few beers and a barby as well as the odd vegemite on toast, i've had a couple of bad weeks after ignoring the doctors advice and after seeing your post i'll be doing a bit more research and staying gluten free.

    Cheers

  • @ijk240695 Hey you can get Mighty Mite at Coles which is like vegemite!!! GLUTEN FREE!!! There are also a few gluten free beers too, although I am not a beer drinker myself so I can't tell you if they are any good!!! xxx

  • Right after my daughter was born, I started breaking out in a stinging, dotted rash.. I could feel a stinging, burning sensation up to a day before the lesions formed..turned out it's dermatitis herpetiformis. Had stabbing stomach pains, floating/foul stool, pale mouth ulcers, bloating, brittle hair/nails,acne, dark circles under eyes, extreme weight loss unintentionally, exhausted, weak, anxious. When I remove gluten, I'm a normal person.. on it, it starts dramatically changing me for the worst

  • I hear ppl say to get a biopsy or blood panel ( I have been dx with dermatitis herpetiformis tho) but I would have to get back on gluten to ensure a positive test. i KNOW, in my heart of hearts, my body just can't handle it. I have a child to care for and i'm already down from 125 pounds to 103 in a few months. I can't go through more hell just to have a positive test when I already know for a fact I am gluten intolerant. any thoughts? Thanks for the video :)

  • @SharpenedsWord I totally understand-and i think you are right...just leave gluten out-so happy you found it xxxxxx

  • @jewelchic Thank you :)

  • Just got diagnosed about a month ago! Seeing your positive attitude about the disease really helped me realize that it's not the end of the world. Thank you so very much!

  • This was the first video I watched when I just found out I got diagnosed :)

  • Your kinda sexy :)

  • @mrsadawong1 Hahaha-thanks xxx

  • I have suffered from ADHD, OCD, hoarding, depression, anxiety, fat skinny, skin blemishes, food allergies, indigestion, acid reflux, aches, pains, muscle injuries, bullying all my life and more... Doctors grrrr.... (they slap a pill on the symptoms and faillll at finding the underlying condition). Now finally I have isolate on my own like many that I have severe Celiac disease. I had already eliminated wheat, barley and rye. I then had to remove oats. Lastly wheat and other grain grass juice

  • @MormonManUtah Good for you-hope it is going well xxx

  • hope i don't have it, i have some of the symptoms

    can't live with food restrictions

  • @trentWHY Yes you can-it's not that bad xxx

  • Thank you jewelchic, xxx

  • @MsEm1981 A pleasure xxx

  • Hello there my doctor said that ive got ibs but upo until afew days ago my friend said to me about coeliac and i would like to know more about it, my symptomns are the same as most but i have to deal with a bloated belly and i dont know why can anyone help?!

  • @MsEm1981 I have said all the info on this video...now it's up to you to visit a doctor xxx

  • Thank you for posting this video. I was diagnosed with celiac disease this past week. After doing some research online, I am surprised on how many people suffer from this (1 out of 130 people in the USA alone has celiac disease)...... As I start my gluten free diet and I have any questions I'll be sure to ask.

    Once again thank you!

    -Marvin

  • @MarvinR72 Find me on my Jewelchic "like" page on facebook...I will see your questions a lot faster on there...xxx

  • Hey I just got back from my doctor and there's a good chance I have Celiac but I just wanted to say thanks for this video because it really cheered me up!! :)

  • @shemganforash Thanks-yes-it's really NOT a problem xxx

  • I have a question, I was diagnosed when I was 7, and i've never been good staying on the diet, I dont' have bad symptomes, a rash, getting tired, and small stomach aches were the worst. But I have gotten better staying on my diet and i've been off gluten for 2 months. The thing is my rash on my arm went away a month ago, and now its back. And I have NO idea how it could have, i've been sooo careful! Do you know how long symptomes can last up to? Like how long does it take the vili to grow back?

  • Vegimate..don't you mean Marmite. Excellent video.

  • @matrixyoda They are 2 different products

  • @BARCASKILL Good for you xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • @jewelchic Thanks xx

  • @jewelchic Gluten and dairy is POISON!!!..we are all miserable and sick because of it!! kids have ADD and autism from it, and the food industry just wants us to consume more and more!!

  • People are so ignorant , stubborn and stupid, and keep eating food that is poisoning them!.. Ive been dairy and gluten free for 6 months!, I lost 25lb, and can breath through my nose for the first time in 20 years!!!!

  • Thank you. I'm doing well.

  • @samanthabree111 Great xxx

  • @xo2bbroadwaystar Not sure what country you are in but no wheat, barley ,oats and rye...have a google of celiac and your home town xxx

  • Did gluten (before you were diagnosed) have an effect on your skin? I've stopped eating gluten about a year ago but now my doc wants me to get properly diagnosed, so I now have to eat gluten for 6 weeks.

  • @wollieniehaus I don't remember it having an effect on my skin-but everyone is different with this xxxxxxxx

  • my hell started 3days after taking an antibiotic back in nov 2009. I had a gluten blood test back in july 2010 it came back negative but at the time I was trying to be gluten free for at 3 least months so i might have to go again. I t is very stress and when tests come back negative doctors stop taking you seriously then comes the antidepresants. At the end of the day I have never had this type of stomach and abdominal pains at this level of pain or for this long in my life. good video peace

  • @fredguy2 Thanks-remember that if you are avoiding gluten, then the test for celiac will not be conclusive-you need to keep eating it until you do the test!!!!!!! CRAZY!!! xxx

  • Is there a cure for ceolic disease?? I had it for 8 years now and it's so annoying!!!

  • @GOOONIES23 No cure as yet, but they are looking towards it. I am so used to it now...xxxxxxxx

  • Great video! It good to know I'm not the only one that has this. Everyday I have to be 100 percent sure that there isn't any gluten or lactose in my food or drink. Otherwise I suffer from bloating, constipation, fatigue, migraines, irritability, etc. It amazes me how food or drink or the weather can dictate your day.

  • @azpaulyb That's hard having to avoid lactose as well, but great that you know what to do to feel good xxxxx

  • How can there be a substitute for Vegemite?!?!?!?! It's too good to mimic ^-^

  • @AngelAboveSin When you have celiac-you are VERY happy for the substitute xxx

  • Great video...So many people don't know about Celiac and have had symptoms all their life. We just had a new video posted yesterday on a breakthrough product with J.E. Block MD FACP. When you get time it is definitely worth a look. Thanks

    Jason, J&L Health

  • brightest teeth ever

  • @mrmalade LOL-thanks xxx

  • is there gluten in A1 sauce?

  • @episcopalnurse I just looked it up and yes it is gluten free

  • I've had 4 long years of having ''IBS'' but finally I've been tested for Celiacs and if it comes back negative I have to go gluten free anyway. I've heard some people with celiacs wont show positive to their tests. Blah. Looking forward to feeling good again.

  • @MissLoveAndLight How did you go??? Hope all is good xxx

  • @MissLoveAndLight I got my results back today and I am gutted. All they said was ''Borderline evidence of Lactose Malabsorption''. So its not yes or no. Agh I was really hoping something would show up so I could finally start the process of feeling better. Oh well. :(

  • @MissLoveAndLight Did you have a gastroscopy or just a blood test? Join me on my jewelchic "like" page on Facebook...link above...

  • @jewelchic Yes I had that when I was at the worst of this illness (whatever I have),all was ''clear'' IBS they claim. I've had ultra sounds for galbladder, blood test for celiacs, other blood tests, now this breath test. I guess I just have to accept the borderline lactose results. :-)

  • @MissLoveAndLight I don't know what your symptoms are, but all of us eating an American diet are eating WAY too many carbs which causes diabetes and also disproportionately feeds cancer tumpors which thrive on carbs. You should be eating no more than 70 grams of carbs per day according to a video by a doctor I saw on here. Also you can go gluten free for 2 or 3 weeks and see how you feel. Lack of excercise and _ANY_ caffeine will make you tired too, trust me!

  • @StratMatt777 I have many symptoms,a big list that come and go. Oh I agree with you on what we are eating is causing alot of our dis-ease,diseases etc.... I agree.. Well I was on gluten free and the FODMAP diet for a week but got a virus so came off of it. This week I start again so I will see in a month how I feel. But also I am watching my lactose intake as I have noticed when I have big amounts I get ill.. Yes,I exercise alot now, makes me feel alive. And carbs I limited that ages ago. :D

  • @MissLoveAndLight Yep-sometimes gluten and lactose intolerance can go hand in hand-I do not have this luckily xxx

  • @jewelchic I am lactose intolerant and have been since I was born, now we have been pretty sure that I have celiac disease as well. I am finally trying the gluten free thing again (started once before because we wondered) I have pretty much every symptom in the book! Is it normal to feel weak the first week or two of going gluten-free? I am eating a lot of rice and vegetables, and peanut butter to make sure I am getting food but I am very, very thin from the celiac and wonder if it's normal

  • @jewelchic to feel weak at first? my stomach feels almost "clean" I would say, like I feel refreshed, but off and on I am feeling like this since I can't really go and snack on stuff constantly. I have done research on the diet I need to follow to get better but am a little new to this!

  • Hey Jewelchic! Just thought I'd share with you my latest Gluten free experience. I have just returned from England, I was in GF paradise everywhere I went, they were so good at catering to my needs everywhere I went. Have you heard of GENIUS Gluten free bread? Well, I never had, you can get it at supermarkets in England, It is the best Gluten free bread I had ever tasted, I had to keep checking the bag and reading the Gluten free Label, I was in disbelief!! Do you know if you can get it in Aus?

  • @justadroid Haven't heard of it, but will keep an eye out next tie I am there xxxxx

  • Hi there!Sorry to hear of all you suffering from celiac! My doctor has treated this with success.Celiac disease happens when the body systems get "confused" and start processing foods incorrectly. The body looks at gluten as a volatile imposter and has an allergic fit.My body systems got "confused" by taking too many antibiotics.I got SIBO,food allergies, and then Fibromyalgia.I am treating with alternative meds with success. There is a way out!!Please visit my channel or my blog to learn more! :)

  • @JoysWellnessTrip No-there is not at this point a way out of celiac.

  • where in australia do you live? because i live in sydney, i'm 16 and i got diagnosed almost a month ago and it's really hard to find nice foods :(

  • @courtleex I live in Melbourne. I just found a GREAT gluten free gnocchi at Coles in the gluten free/health section!!! xxx

  • You are as natural as a golden wheat field :-) I do not want to be heatlhier than you are. Cheers.

  • @poiupupu That's sweet xxx

  • I just found out I have celiac diease, it's hard :(

  • @courtleex How are you going with it now...join me on my Jewelchic "like" page on Facebook and let me know you are there and i can talk more about it with you xxx

  • @jewelchic

    Just did :) x

  • Yip, i have it and its a real pain in the arse. You have to check bloody everything in the shopping centre your buying and the worst thing is i now cant drink Guinness!!

Celiac Disease.. a real pain in the arse..

    Thanks God..

  • @teamfab Cheer up-at least it is fixable xxxxxxxx

  • i was diagnosed about 3 years ago, we thought nothing of it because the symptoms were pretty subtle. I felt sort of sick after I ate and i'm always tired. For me, the hardest part is limiting myself from gluten because if I eat it the symptoms arent that nociteable. Im a 15 year old guy and your video helps. Thanks

  • @jcollie800 YES! A lot of people find that-but stay away from it as it can lead to other illnesses xxxxxx

  • I'm celiac as well, just wanted to mention you can have pasta...just not wheat pasta. I enjoy rice pasta all the time (no one can tell the difference).

  • @mokulen22 That's right...and in Oz there is a new gnocchi at Coles-LOVE it xxx

  • My oldest son was diagnosed wtih Celiac, about 2 years after he was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes. They ARE related (in that, a lot of people that have one, have the other).

In the US, about 1 in 110 people have the disease, and over 90% of them do not know!

Thank you for bringing this subject up!

    cliff

    AMS

PS-I found this because I 1st watched your segment about flying in a private jet. I am a pilot, and have flown as the pilot (and the passenger) in those types of jets before.

  • @atpcliff Hey Cliff!!! That is true-luckily I do not have diabetes...hope you saw the private jet video I popped up recently...flying to Oprah in a Gulfstream 450!!! xxx

  • I was just diagnosed two hours ago !. My main symptom was extreme fatigue.

Thank you so much for making this video.

  • @samanthabree111 Hope you are doing well xxxxxxx

  • thank you , i just found out i have this ,my mum got colon cancer because she was untreated for so long . she is fine now , how my mum found out is she would be sick and wanted to vomit after she ate , we thought the cancer had come back but it was not it was Celiac disease , i was having symptoms of everything going through me and i started to be nauseous after i ate . i am glad i know now . it is no joke , but i hope i will start to feel better ps i also was tired all the time

  • @bearcub410 GREAT you have found out early xxxxxxx

  • @jewelchic thank you for your kind words , with all my symptoms i never lost weight , i hope now that i am on a gluten free diet i don't blow up like a whale LOL thanks adam from the states

  • I also got it. When i stopped eating it i got to feel how it was to be healthy. i was pretty much tired my whole life. The only thing i miss is drinking beer

  • @Davidskejt LOL-luckily I was not a beer drinker-did you know there are some new gluten free beers now??? xxx

  • @jewelchic yeah here in sweden there are atleast

  • I also have a gluten intolerance. It wasn't until about a year ago I was finally able to gain weight. I was a 6'3" guy who weighed 112 lbs/51kg & for many years I was sick everyday because I would eat pasta in attempt to gain weight. Instead all I got were severe flu-like symtoms.

  • @mattymattmatterson Hope all is great now xxx

  • Thanks! I was diagnosed 5 years ago. They are just starting to make some interesting products but it was a real hassle for non cooking me. I finally got it figured out but yeah I don't look forward to dinner invites. Maybe one day the whole planet will be sans gluten. Way to manifest Oprah! A Gluten free world is only a slightly bigger goal.....it could happen.

  • @mdeioma THNAKS so much-Oprah was so lovely!!!!!! xxx

  • I got diagnosed with Celiac Disease on 6/13/08.

I have since been going crazy, asking: why do I live? Why was I the only one in my family who got this? Anyway... I had one of those today, then saw this... thank you

  • @NilsKills Oh- don't feel terrible-it's really not that bad...glad the video helped you xxxxxxx

  • @jewelchic

    hey

can anerexia trigger celiac or vise versa????

    please let me know

  • @NilsKills Managing it is a problem because every one of us has different trigger sensitivities and symptoms. My triggers include mental stress, physical stress (like being in the cold rain to long) and meat products. I have gotten myself to great health by making two out of three meals veggies/fruits only and letting myself a normal eat gluten/meat meal only once every three days. I also need lots of potasium to feel energetic. Check out celiac.org keep a daily symptom/diet log.

  • Comment removed

  • Anyway I noticed that I started feeling this way shortly after a pretty horrific spell of stress filled with panic attacks and such. Maybe the symptoms will subside after a while, but I read somewhere that a serious bout of stress can bring on the symptoms if you're prone to it - particularly if you do eat a substance filled with gluten while having a stress reaction. What do you think?

  • Um, Jewelchic, do some celiacs become really nauseous while or after eating? I've noticed within the past couple of weeks that I cannot eat like I used to. It becomes quite embarrassing sometimes because I'll be eating with a group of friends or coworkers, and I feel like I'm about to throw up right then and there. Or afterwards, I feel EXTREMELY nauseous and I have to constantly take Pepto Bismol throughout the day.I've never had this happen before.Chocolate just gave me a migraine tonight so.

  • YOU are sooo cute! I love that people like you are sharing this way. I'm going through all these You Tube videos today. Yours is charming and I think probably makes "the newly afflicted" feel that it is not the end of the world! Thanks! RJL at glutenfreaks black freckle net! :)

  • @000rjl LOL-thanks a lot-that's exactly what I wanted this video to be xxxxxxxxx

  • Comment removed

  • do you have to be careful of what your boyfriend/husband eats?i mean,if u kiss him after he has eaten something with gluten would you feel sick?

  • @geiuy No-that's fine

  • @vintagesugar82 That's terrific xxxxxx

  • I just found that papayas are a digestive aid and that they relieve gas and indigestion. I have not tried them yet but am going to.

Gas and bloating is a HUGE problem.

Right now I am just on a rice diet. It seems the only thing that I can eat and not get sick.

    I am making a doctor's appointment soon.

It's nice to see a smiling face. Thank you for brightening my day. God bless you Jewelchic.

  • @WillysWoodPile A pleasure-keep in mind that for it to be diagnosed properly you need to keep eating gluten........your body heals so quickly and the test may say you don't have it when you do xxxxxxxx

  • @jewelchic I'm sorry jewelchic, I cannot keep making myself sick by eating gluten. But I also feel that there are other problems besides celiac. As it does not matter what I eat, I am still getting sick. If you have ever suffered as much as I have you don't ever want to suffer any more than humanly possible. I have spent many nights in bed suffering, with my mother praying for me by my bedside. And the Church prayer-chain too. I am not very good at suffering. I'm not as tough as others. Thanks

  • @WillysWoodPile Don't apologise to me-just get yourself to a doctor quick smart xxx

  • @jewelchic Yes ma'am!

  • @vintagesugar82 hope you are feeling better xxxxxxx

  • I was just diagnosed with Celiac a few weeks ago. I'm still having a real hard time with it because it's hidden in so many foods. I have to eat at the dining halls at CU boulder and practically everything has gluten in it. I get so frustrated. I'll begin eating something and then when I'm done realize there was some random ingredient, like malt, that apparantly has gluten in it It's so annoying. :/

  • @lynzimc Yes-it is in malt...google celiac and your home town and you will find some great info xxxxxxxx

  • i have a gluten intolerance as well but my reaction was a weight gain, diarrhea, pain in intestines, foggy brain, and bloating.this all happens within 24 hours of coming in contact with it,except the weight gain that comes over time. i hope people understand the dangers of gluten before it is too late for them. some people have worse reactions than i do and even those who dont are living with obesity for the sole reason that they dont know why they are that way

  • @keifla12 Absolutely-hope you are feeling better xxxxxx

  • @keifla12 hello i have the same symptoms you had , i never lost weight , thanks

  • i been told from the doctor jewelchic

    not and stop gluten

    what is gluten

and what r the foods im adhd

  • @mrsingh786 wheat, barley, oats and rye, but it is in lots of things like soy sauce and malt...best thing is too google celiac and your home town and go and chat to someone at a health food store so you totally understand xxx

  • nick diaz favorited this video....wtf...

  • I have Celiac's as well! Way to represent! :)

  • Hi, I have Coeliac as well, I was sick for 6 years then finally moved doctors and they figured out I had Coeliac. The thing is my symptoms were swollen glands and always anemic. I've been on a gluten free diet for 2 years now and I'm totally used to the diet, the only thing is it's hard when going out to eat. I feel there still isn't enough information about this, as sometimes staff in restaurants just look at you with blank faces because they dont understand what your talking about!lol!:)

  • @MissLxMakeupaddict LOL-Yes i know that feeling!!! xxx

  • I was just diagnoised with Celiac Disease Thursday, Sep. 30th. And I also have Crohn's Disease. I would love for us to be pen pals and keep in touch whether it be Facebook, Myspace, or on here. I have ALOT to learn about this condition so someone who has been dealing with this for 12 years can help me out ALOT! Thanks for the video! =) -AJ

  • @Arbybayb I don't know a lot about Crohns but I can help with celiac...wow...double dose, huh??? I have a Jewelchic "like" page on Facebook xxxxxxx

  • Everytime I eat wheat I get dierrah? Why is that happening to me?

  • @adamrocks2006 Could be loads of things...visit your doctor xxx

  • Thanks a lot for this. I wonder lately if I might be intolerant. I have been eating breads all my life, But I have often wondered if I am only showing mild symptoms sometimes and showing some symptoms more acutely at other times. I have had problems with constipation or runny fluffy bowels most of my life . I now have diabetes type 2 for the last few years. I have been eating only 100% whole wheat bread ( what it claims on ingredients).I started eating Cheerios and evertime my bowels are runny.

  • @4SCARECROWS Definitely go to the doctor as you will find some type of food is upsetting you xxx

  • --- I have a Doctor's appointment scheduled for the 22nd, to be tested for Celiac disease.

--- I am pretty sure this is what I have because nobody has been able to find out for over 6 years. I haven't worked and I sleep [almost] all the time. I will talk to you more once I have been diagnosed.

  • @WillysWoodPile Good-hope all is well xxxxxxx

  • @jewelchic The tests i have to take take about 4 hours. Now I have to suffer through another 3 1/2 days of eating gluten filled foods because I can't be on a gluten-free diet until AFTER the tests.

--- I was on a gluten-free diet for a week until I read that you are not supposed to be until after the tests. So I am eating donuts and such. Someone suggested eating 3 or 4 pieces of bread a day. What is the minimum I can get away with and not mess up the tests? I hate making myself sick.

  • @jewelchic ---I am sorry to say that the hospital could not get the tests in for another week and a half. I canceled the tests because I could not stand making myself sick for that long.

-- I am still on a gluten-free diet. I made the mistake of eating some Italian Sausage from our local meat market. I did not know that sausage contains gluten.

-- A gluten-free diet is expensive. Five dollars for a box of cereal; Five dollars for a half-gallon of coconut milk. Seven dollars for Almond butter.

  • good job on explaining about Celiac Disease! Your Video clip came across while I was looking for information about Celiac Disease. (taking health and nutrition class as an elective course). cheers!

  • @SuperJin1004 Thanks xxxxxxxx

  • I suspect I may have a gluten allergy, but because I donot get an instant anaphylactic reaction (like I get if I eat fish), she felt it unnecessary to test me for wheat and gluten sensitivity. The only other way I can find out is to go on a gluten free diet... Thx for sharing!

  • @LOATODAY A pleasure xxx

  • what kind of alchohol can u ahve if u ahve celiac ? what about wine ?

  • @babyj1996 anything except beer!!!

  • I was diagnosed when i was 11 and Im almost 21 now. Its very hard and I have not always followed the diet Unfortunately I have the full fledged Celiacs Disease and get sick even if I come into the slightest contact with gluten I havent had a problem recently being able to talk to restaurants about gluten free menus or foods and my friends are so understanding and helpful I just have alot of trouble finding foods in the store! I get really frustrated but have been doing alright for 5 months now

  • @TXSouthernBelle2012 Good for you-keep going and think of it as something relatively simple to fix xxx

  • I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance when I was 12. Now I'm 16.

The gluten free food sucks kinda bad at the beginning but I was only 12 when I started eating a gluten free diet, now I'm just used to it and it works fine. It's not really a big deal since I can still eat meat, the one thing that sucks is that most resturants use flour from wheat in the sauce tho..

  • @cabba00 Yeah-I know-but always check just in case!!!!!! Glad you are making it easy on yourself xxxxxxxx
