As an unconditional Hulkamaniac since I could walk, I found this match to be as heartbreaking as the 1993 King of the Ring Match with Yokozuna. Because Hogan would be gone for a lengthy amount of time after both of those matches. It was fantastic storytelling. There is this huge monster, but who can take him down? Hulk Hogan... but when hogan fails it makes you think. WOW.... he really can't be beat. It's classic storytelling from an entertainment point of view.
