  • you dont need a amp on most door speakers most head units put out around 50 wats on all 4 channels

  • @kkdkkdkdkdkdkdd

that's peak, ds650.2s run 50 rms, which is why most people power even low power rated speakers off an amp, when ran off the head unit at the 22 watt rms the this one is rated there will be distortion for the top 1/4 of the volume range

  • @kkdkkdkdkdkdkdd

I'm not sure if my last comment made sense lol I was in the Apple store when I typed it. The speakers are rated at 50 watts RMS whereas the headunit will only do 22 watts RMS which is pretty average or even a little high for an aftermarket headunit, at that 22 watts rms there will be some distortion, which is why most people will amp their aftermarket speakers, they will play louder and show less distortion at higher volumes, plus running lower RMS could hurt the speaker

  • did those speaker fit back in the factory position with the factory grill or did you have to modifiy it?

  • @blackadderxiv

I had to put them on the bracket a little weird and then fill the gaps with some clay to seal them and then the grill I had to shave down in the back so it didn't hit the cone of the sub, I hope this makes sense

  • GUDDA!

  • i dont get it. i have 4 of these in my suburban and they sound great with my one 12 mtx sub, but when i want to turn up my sound pretty loud it sounds lke its goin to blow, it has a loud ssssssssssssssss..sound to it i dont know why!

  • @Andr3wsx26x

are they amped? if so what amp?

  • @Red04MonteLS i have a crunch 500w amp and my reciever that runs the speakers is a kenwood 200w

  • @Andr3wsx26x

is the amp the one powering the speakers?

  • bro one last question... which subwoofer should i buy .either TWO Pioneer ts-w308d4 subwoofers in Box covered with Acrylic sheet or a Single JBL GT5 1204 BR enclosure. Or if you think any one better than these tell me that too. Price not more Rs.10 000 / $ 208

  • @TheAkshay0021

hmm, to be honest i haven't heard much for JBL, but as far as pioneer goes in car audio, i think they're right with kenwoods subs, they're not that great, i see pioneer as a better home audio type of company and kenwood a headunit company. I've heard good things about JBL but to tell you I think it's the better sub would be a stretch just because I've never heard one in person.

  • how is the sound quality? i know they hit hard but do they sound clear as well???

  • @TheAkshay0021

they actually look like they hit hard but they don't produca a whole lot of bass. but the sound is amazing, really clear and loud.

  • @Red04MonteLS oh ....so what if we run a subwoofer along with them ..then will there be any problem of insuficient bass?? or evrything would be perfect then?

  • @TheAkshay0021

everything would be good then, just use these for the highs and youll be completely fine, and youll like them alot especially for the price

  • @Red04MonteLS thank you so much . you were of great help.

  • Yo i got a question. Since 2 component speaker sets would count as as 4 speakers, would I need a 4 channel amp to power them or just a 2 channel amp? Also, how difficult is it to wire component speakers to an amp? (i'm new to aftermarket car audio)

  • @MaligantWorm

no you only need a 2 channel amp because the the speaker wire goes to the crossover which breaks off one to the speaker and one to the tweeter. the components are really easy to wire. you run the speaker wire from the amp to the crossover, then from the cross over one set of wires goes to the speaker and one goes to the tweeter. and usually theyre different wires so its obvious as to which one goes with which.

  • @MaligantWorm Just to add to what Red04MonteLS wrote, you definitely only need a 2 channel amp. A little more detail, say your component speaker set is a "4 ohm" set. That means that each speaker runs at 2ohm combined to make 4ohms, and the crossover makes sure they each get the proper frequencies. It hooks up super easy. The crossover will state "tweeter" and some other form ("mid" or "woofer"). You simply hook your tweet into "tweet", your mid to "mid", and your cars wire to "input". simple!

  • @bastec666

thanks, i didn't go into a whole lot of detail, i tend to do that sometimes when im tired =p

  • I just got a 05 Monte and I was wondering if you install twitters on yours or it came with it?

  • @AKUMA666X

this video is of aftermarket speakers, the factory speakers are premium speakers that have the tweeter also, and the 2 ways in the rear, however they are not the best quality speakers especially if you have a sub, theyre almost non existant lol, so you can amp them to give them a little more power or just get new speakers. if you do get an aftermarket headunit, your stock speakers will sound like crap, guaranteed, unless you get an amp, that may help a little.

  • how much do you like them i was thinking of getting a set or two

  • @newbasstestman

i really like them, i have the gain on 0 on my amp and theyre loud, powered by an alpine mrp-f300, and i was thinking about turning up the gain, but they sound real good, only problem is, if you have a song with bad sound quality, you can really tell, but thats only been one song for me so far.

  • @Red04MonteLS thanks im going to get them

  • @newbasstestman

i think youll be happy, mines making a weird noise right now, i think theres something wrong with my wiring, or something with my guage cluster, who knows lol its on and then off, the speakers are awesome tho, they should charge double the price for them they sound so good

  • @Red04MonteLS how much did you get yours for

  • @newbasstestman

$72.95 with free shipping, send me a pm if you want a link.

  • tight...i just got me 4 of these...whats nAME OF SONG BRO?

  • @daddydepxromeo

let me check for you, i cant remember, you like then so far? i think they sound sick

  • @daddydepxromeo ..hell yea they sound nice... i mosty have all my car system set up kicker subs amp wires and so except my deck lol i dnt know if kicker makes car stereos yet... do you have a system in your ride?

  • @daddydepxromeo

yeah i gotta make a full video of the whole thing and i dont think kicker makes headunits.

    head unit is kenwood kdc-mp638u

front speakers are the ds650.2 powered by an alpine mrp-f300

and a 10" type-r powered by an alpine mrp-m500, hits really hard.

all powered by a single normal cell battery atm helped out by a cap, which probably does nothing but looks cool imo, how about you?

subscribe if ya didnt already, ill be posting more vids of performance, and audio.

  • @daddydepxromeo It's "I Don't Like The Look" by Gudda Gudda and Lil Wayne

  • @AllBlackEveryThang01

  • thx brother

  • @ykzeendo

no problem, subscribe, come back and check me out again sometime, ill do the same

  • do you use amplifeir this sett?

  • @ykzeendo

i used an amp for these, i used the mrp-f300, you dont necessarily need one, but they will be louder and sound a bit better with the amp.

  • niiiiceeee!

  • that sounds really good clear and hits hard haha

  • @Extremeoffroadfurry

Yeah it does, thanks brotha, i got my stocks still too if your interested, or ill try selling them online.

  • @Red04MonteLS ha ya man just try and sell em online cause idh any cash right now and i dont know when i will thnxs though.

  • is this in the doors?

  • @wifisherman

yeah, 6.5" components. powered by the Alpine MRP-F300, about 50-55 watts to each.
