i bought a sony prs -950 because i liked the fit and finish i would of liked to get a nook color[magazines look nice on nook color] or something in color but the color readers just dont have the battery life 8 hrs for a nook color is what put me off
i didnt like the regular nook wireless it was slow to respond and no touch screen [sony prs-950 has a laser touch screen and looks nice]
i dont know why they are even doing this the nook is amazing and is wayyy more advanced and barnes and noble is an actual bookstore and amazon isnt the kindle sucks and the nook is amazing
I once had a PRS-600 but it only lasted 1 day in my hand. I had to return it because the glare is too much to handle though I tried so hard for me to like it by adjusting my position and light condition but still the screen is too "reflective". I can see my head and the wall behind me no matter how I hold it. I returned it back and got a humble Nook instead.
The Nook looks like it has a bigger screen than the kindle, and the Sony reader looks like it has the boldest display. Visibility is the most important factor for me. Can anyone tell me how the font sizes and clarity compare among the readers?
The Kindle can get free books too - the video made it sound like it could not. And any free book in a non-kindle format can be converted to a kindle format, so I'm not sure what his comment was about.
I think the Nook looks higher in quality, but i think the Kindle is much more practical. I like having the "real" controls versus a touchscreen. I like the full keyboard on the kindle. I guess i am not a big fan of having all of my devices being touchscreen. PLUS the kindle is faster. :) Kindle all the way!
Haha! Not anymore! The nook just got another firmware update!!! (I think it's still slower, but only slightly.) I hate the Kindle's keyboard. Its keys are SO tiny and hard to press. I got one and was almost so annoyed I threw it away.

The nook has a micro SD slot so you can expand the memory.
