Their legal system is equally based on "innocent unless proven guilty" to the standard of "beyond all reasonable doubt" in criminal cases.
Going back, as with America, to the establishment of the law as supreme in the Magna Carta of 1215.
You're right, though, that there are countries where this isn't the case and the burden of proof isn't on the prosecution.
But Australia isn't one of those countries.
