  • Wonder why all that effort was put in to build a structure to launch off . It looks like more of a nightemare then if it was just a clean piece of dirt! His launch looked ok. His last tap of the plank wasnt necessary but cautionary. I think it might have been cross wind launch

  • I didn`t see lee side it seemed to be thermal

  • The pilot is still recovering from the broken legs.

yes, I finally get to fly from the site about 4 months ago and it was a little scary to fly from it the first time. Because at the end of the plate forum is about a 20 meter drop off. When I get my hard drive back I can show you some more of the site in Jecheon, South Korea.

  • lee side launching, what a great idea

  • The launch site is beautiful and looking at it for the first time it was a little scary. I was told it was built by Gin Glider.

The winds where strong from the back side of the mounatain and a light breezy from the side of the take off.

I wish that I kept taking a vido of the flight, becuase he kept having trouble with the front of the wings wanting to collapse.

  • I hope the pilot had better than excellent recovery from his injures. The launch condition did not look all that bad, and yes nice launchig site.

  • to me is looking more like a very dangerous take off...what if You dive after launching and hit the metal frame in front of the ramp...it sounds pretty scarry to me

  • I also think it looks like the lee side in fairly strong wind, as PaulinTaegu mentioned.

What is the location? It looks like a nicely prepared launch site.

  • MT.BIBONG, which is surrounded by the CHEONGPUNG LAKE of JECHEON IC.

  • Once he gets up high, it appears that he doesn't make much progress when pointed back at the mountain. So he must have launched off the lee side. Bad idea.

  • About 50 feet above the landing zone, his wing was collapsed by a down wind. He dropped and broke both of his legs.
