They say the kids were unaware of the rules. the kids are also probably unaware of what is considered a "countable hour". Film, injury prevention, time with the trainer, meals, etc... none of these count.

If a kid says he was working for 10 hours, but he doesn't account for his 2 hours of mealtime, 2 hours of film, 1 hour of injury prevention and 1 hour with the trainer, then one might conclude there was a violation, when in fact he only logged 4 hours total.

This whole thing is a joke.

Rosenberg actually skewed the words of some of the kids he interviewed by asking them a question, then taking their answer and applying it to a different question. Two of the players came forward to the coach and told him they were horribly misquoted.

They get a chance to add weight to the story and completely fail. They are yet to point out which hours are mandatory and which are voluntary. Without this information, there is no story.
