  • I don't know who gets more happier when giving away $100,000

Shelley Smith, Mary Cadorette, Audrey Landers or Teresa Ganzel?

  • @tnawcwvictoria I would say it's a toss between Mary Cardorette and Barry Jenner... I think they were the most exuberant when leading a contestant to the $100,000...

Then again, I always wonder how Constance McCashin would have acted if she gave away the top prize? You can bet there would have been A LOT, and I mean A LOT of screaming, hugging, and jumping up and down!! :-D

  • @gameshowluvr86 Good point about Constance, but I wonder how Jo Anne Worley, Henry Polic II or even the late Nipsey Russell would've acted if they gave away $100,000?

I mean, when they gave away $25,000, Jo Anne screamed, Nipsey jumped up and ran like crazy and Henry also jumped out of his seat and was happy

  • @tnawcwvictoria How about Joanne Wolrey. Her screams were pretty good too!

  • @tnawcwvictoria mary cadorette is very beautiful and i've alway's loved her. i used to watch her all the time on these game shows glad i was a witness of all of that she was super at these shows, and i loved her t.v show, she was also miss conneticut 1975 her home town wow way to go mary!

  • Is it me or did Mary seem more happier with the win then Patty or Marc?

  • DICK CLARK WAS A GREAT GAMESHOW HOST!

  • Do you have Patty's qualifying time when she won $10,000?

  • Is this the only 3 tournamernts you have?

  • Clark audience got the audience quiet when they got to the final subject, cullen or davidson never did.

  • Mary Cadorette is the lady! Love her reaction at the end of the bonus round:)

  • @cdgeiger1

    Hello, Chelsea!

I saw this certain win numerous times and, like many fans of Pyramid, was happy to see your mom win the $100,000. Congrats to her. She seemed quite happy. I don't know if she still remembers this event, but I'm sure it is one she'll never forget. Again, congrats to her; she was an excellent player.

Peace to you and your family,

    -Matt ;)

  • GSN hasn't reaired this tournament in 11 years since 1999.

  • Do you have patty's qualifying win with David Graf?

  • She reacted so fast I had to back to hear the word Precious!

  • @WavemasterAshi On Things That Are Precious, I'd have said "Kids". Wouldn't you, WavemasterAshi? You're absolutely right on what you said. Because I love children a lot.

  • I loved how Patty introduces her husband...

Patty (still THRILLED from the win...): This is Mark Geiger, my husband... My RICH husband!

LOL!! Go 'head Patty! After winning the $100,000, bragging rights are definitely in order! :-D

  • I didn't recognize the celebrity. I'd heard the name Mary Cadorette. Did she do movies? TV? Broadway? Anyway, she's definitely a babe. That's one of the best celebrity reactions in Pyramid history; and the way she hugged and celebrated with the family, and then stepped aside. Class. I think I'm in love. Also, nobody did Pyramid like Dick Clark; letting the excitement of the moment speak for itself without blathering like an idiot. They don't make 'em like that anymore. Great clip.

  • @ForeverYoung58

I'm pretty sure this was the girl that played John Ritter's wife on the very short lived Three's Company spinoff.

  • Im an old school game show geek also! I love the trilon's salute whenever someone (on this version) climbs the pyramid! Dick Clark forever rules the Pyramid! No offense to Bill Cullen or John davidson, but Dick Clark fit this show perfectly!!

  • Things that are precious - Winning $100,000!!!!

  • Osmond's version sucks. The Dick Clark era completely rules.

  • @PrfMoriarty

Even though I agree with you about Dick Clark's version of this show, I liked Donny Osmond's version as well. He was good as a host, though other people would say that he wasn't as good as Dick Clark was. Hey, at least Donny gave it his best shot. ;)

  • @PrfMoriarty ...what's funny is - Donny's a decent guy - he's just not a game-show host ... it takes a special person to be one - and Dick Clark towered above them all, (with maybe the exception of Bob Barker) ...and you know why? Because he genuinely cared - CARED - and took it so seriously. A lot of hosts - even the good ones - are like "awww too bad, see ya' later" when people lose. Dick was the opposite - almost like he was the contestant's family member himself. He made the show.

  • @PrfMoriarty AMEN

Mr. Clark is a much better host than Osmond and John Davidson for that matter

@ least Mr. Clark let's the contestants have their winning moments before he comes in

John on the other hand jumps in and Donny Osmond's Tournaments STUNK, but the 1st one was OK

Mr. Clark does his hosting style with class

  • did anyone notice the dollar values in the background were moving back and forth, resembling dancing in a happy manner?

  • That almost always happened when someone won the $100,000 grand prize. Kind of the big Pyramid's (actually the stagehands in the back) way of saying "YOU DID IT! YOU DID IT! YOU DID IT!!!" :-)

  • your a geek when it comes to this kinda stuff, huh..lol

  • Yeah, basically... lol.

  • @j6282

Yes, I've noticed that before. That would definitely happen whenever someone won the $100,000.

  • The dancing winner circle squares!

  • I thought RARE and PRECIOUS were synonymous.

  • In all of the time that I used to watch this show, I eventually imagined that the judge had a list of words ready to buzz. Somehow, I actually don't think "rare" was on the list for "precious."

  • Clark was better than Davidson he waited till the celebration ended in the WC.

  • I was a little worried that _rare_ paintings might be a little too descriptive and she'd get the buzzer for that. Fantastic climb right to the top.

  • Dick Clark's version was way better

  • LOL, the Pyramid's celebrating, too!

  • I know, right? It's the Pyramid's happy dance! ^_^

  • I don't know.

  • Is subjects seemed rather easy, or was it me.

  • What do you think are some good clues for "Precious Things", nextbarker? I'd say things like "gems... gold... your children..."

  • how about memories

  • Good one! Or how about "rock band Climax's moments..." Like in their song.

"Precious and few are the moments we two can share..." :)

  • Your husband, rare paintings, your crown, --- AAAAAAAAAAHH!!

  • I loved her excitement. What's she doing at 1:37 to 1:42? Is she saying it, or is she screaming?

  • Is she saying it? No, man. She's saying to Mary "I love you! I love you! I love you!!" She was showing her gratitude to her for helping her win all that money.

  • Was this Patty's only 2 appearances in the $100,000 WC?

  • It could not have been. She started out the show with David Graf in the "returning champion's" chair, so she had to have prevailed on the Thursday show.

  • 24 seconds to work on PRECIOUS was the same time as her first WC wasn't it?

  • Mary seemed more excited about the win, then Patty or her husband.

  • I love it when the celebrity is just as excited as the contestant who won. Shows that they are sincere, and really wanted them to succeed.

  • I totally agree. That's why I love Shelley Smith's first $100k win. She and Richard are totally stoked after what is arguably the most intense tie breaker in Pyramid history. Then she gets Richard the win with 3 seconds to go, and she is literally jumping up and down. Amazing. Totally awesome.

  • BTW, in that tie-breaker, Richard BARELY got the answer in before the buzzer!!!

  • PRECIOUS is another $100,000 answer, is looked like a replay of the first round with PRODUCED for a minute.

  • Incredible until Patty won the lights didn't work at all.

  • was this the ONLY time that the audience didn't come on stage?

  • I loved Patty at 2:33. Bless her heart!! :)

  • This will always be my favorite $100,000 win. Mary gave excellent clues and their reactions to the big win were priceless. Plus the audience didn't mob the set. ;)
