As long as you're sure you like my comments, I'd like to point out sphincter of oddi dysfunction as a cause of episodic pancreatitis, particularly when accompanied by cholecystitis or following a cholecystectomy.
Bonus points if you can answer this: As your song states, pancreatitis is usually diagnosed/screened through testing of amylase and lipase levels. If the patient has type 1 diabetes, which often makes those values abnormal anyhow, how would you test for pancreatitis?
That's a brain buster. I actually don't know without looking it up; I would say, "Just diagnose it clinically." But there's probably some sort of other gastrointestinal hormone test or provocative test to affirm the diagnosis. What's the answer?

in acute pancreatitis there is increase in urine amylase also...
