what setup is the TC running now? If youve switched to a bigger turbo Im assuming you had to build up the internals maybe? Which is why I prefer a wrx, buy one and just swap out the turbo, injectors and fuel pump and your good to go
@afgandominator PTuning Spec RS turbo system. No, still stock internals. tC's run 350-400whp before needing internals. I'm running 11lbs on a GT3076r Dual BB w/Tial SS housing. Everything is fully V-banded. Dyno vid is on my page. Done on a Dyno Dynamics which reads about 15-20% lower than the normal Dynojet people use.
@rhythmnsmoke daaamn lol I had no clue the TC's could handle that kind of power on stock internals, my buddie has one that i spank up and down the street and he thinks its fast, I keep telling him to throw a turbo on the thing but he a RUH-TARD lol nice car anyways man
@afgandominator Yeah for sure. I'm actually in the process of loading up 4 new videos from the track this past weekend. I have to wait on my boy to upload from his camera too, cause on his camera he has me chasing down the Porsche Cayman S that had another $20k worth of mods in it. I chase him down and pass him on the track. My tC in a straight line, runs down 500hp E55 AMG Mercedes. Takes a good 400whp Evo or STI to run me in my stock motor turbo tC cause It only weighs 2550lbs right now.
@afgandominator Should be loaded up in a few hours. There are no external shots in my vids, only internal vids from the track. I pass a Lancer Evo VI in the vid as well. I've passed dudes in Z06, modded Evo X, 2010-2011 BMW M3, Type R Integra's, Lotus Exige/Elise...etc. Don't do much street racing anymore, but my last street race was with my friends Camaro SS with bolt-ons. I put about 6 cars on him up to 140mph. It's on video on my Bro-in-law's page. Link:
@rhythmnsmoke I had no clue there were Scions out there with that much power, goes to show you though, Money makes power, take care of your ride and put some cash in it and it can be just as fast-nice as a high dollar sports car, Im gona check out ur bro in laws link now,
@afgandominator Yeah, with the right mods, you can even the playing field. But it takes more than just power to be fast though. Not in a street race, but places where it requires skill (drag strip and Road Course).
@I2awInstinct You should learn about cars before you start talking about them. It's not called a V-4 for starters. It's an I4 as in INLINE 4cyl. BOTH cars are 4cyl. The WRX COMES with a turbo, my Scion does not obviously. Secondly, as mentioned, I've raced and beaten cars 3x faster than this WRX. NEWSFLASH NOOB....this video is 5yrs OLD.
yeah thats what i want to do but, where i live there's no tracks or anything.. just straight up drag racing is boring to me.. im into circuit racing and maybe some touge action but, iowa doesnt offer any of that..
@sctflasher379 Yea, I reckon you would have to travel a little bit being in Iowa. Recently I drove 7hr 50min down to GA for a track day. I have a track here at home too, but I wanted to race on other courses. Besides the track day was free for me, so couldn't pass it up.
@sctflasher379 I still have the car. I Road Race and Time Attack with it now though, not street race. Stopped street racing because it's boring and involves no skills. I wanted to become a better driver, so I got serious with it and started doing some real racing.
@rhythmnsmoke yo just wondering ... why did you sell you tc.. i wanted to get one but i always see people selling them so quicly... so i wante to get ur feedback...
ive got a question and please take no offense to it. I was just wondering though since you do all of these upgrades and you race your car and stuff, why did you choose to run with a Scion Tc?
@quadupdude Was never my intention to race it or mod to this extent. But when I felt what it was like when turboed, I was instantly hooked. I was one of the very first people to boost one and start getting vids of races. The car just evolved into what it is today. So, I say it choose me since I didn't buy it for this purpose. Now I'm with it for life, as I don't ever see me selling it. I still have more things up my sleeve.
lol ight i have picz of it and some videos but there shitty cell phone vids. or put this on here and is the first vid. "Klan Destino Racing Crew " is the white wrx
Yeah, but can't really tell how much possible power it's making based on a street race with another WRX. Perhaps a 1/4 mile vid would be better since you can see the trap speeds and what not. Otherwise a dyno video.
i was pushing on my wrx 473whp with just a t4 and a 255 fuel pump i had small as injectors they were 550 and boosting 22psi i know i needed some 1k inj. or bigger but another wrx is coming on the way i want to race u when i finish it..lol
This is the internet, so it's rather difficult to believe anything anyone says....simply because they just say it. Do you have proof? Secondly, I don't race with dyno numbers anyway. I've raced cars with 400+whp and beat them (440whp Procharged Mustang GT, 380whp 300zxTT...etc). But congrats on the dyno numbers. Where you from?
We go down nearly every year around Christmas time. Was just there this past Christmas, but only stayed in Ocala. I do plan on trailering the tC down there for some action. I own a few people a race.
@dcin1 I will try and remember to hit you up. I'm bad about remembering things...lol. I think we might be going to NY instead, so might not be this Christmas that we go down.
At the time of this vid I was pushing 7.5-8lbs of boost (250whp/260wtq). My last boost setting was around 11.5-12lbs. Didn't get dyno numbers but usually a tC is around 310-315whp/310+wtq. When on 9-10lbs I ran 13.5 @ 109 in the 1/4 on street tires. I do mostly AutoX and Time Attack now. I sold that kit and now getting the PTuning kit and will run 14lbs + meth injection on it. Good for 350-370whp stock motor. When I build it will be 450-500whp without changing my setup. Just more boost.
@rhythmnsmoke OMG LMFAO and youve been spewing bullshit all over here about that hunk of sht,,,,,,,,,,!!!!!!13.5!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMFao im done with you you are the winner of idiot of the year in your 13 second bucket of wasted cash
Are you a moron or are you a moron? That was fucking 3 years ago dumbass. Don't come spamming on my shit jumping into old as conversations and act like you know what the hell you talking about. 13.5 was on fucking street tires for one, with the clutch slipping and STILL trapping at 109mph. If you know anything about drag racing then you would know that 109mph is a 12sec trapspeed. And that was on low boost with a small as 16G turbo. So, the next time you spout off, come correct.
@rhythmnsmoke God your a certified moron. You were just talking loads of sht about that rag lmfao. I wont post vids on this stupid sht for my ego but i will put 10k on the table that my cheap ass dsm talon will whip your pimpled ass in any race you want to run. 10k and ill come to florida, im in NC so its no problem son. I just want to prove a point and for that matter bring any other street tc you thinks fast and they can try the foxbody that you think is so outdated. Im waiting,,,,,,,,,,
@illeagleracing First off, I live in TN so even closer. Two I'm not going to bother responding to the rest of your babble on the other video, and leave you with this....Any time you are ready, you can message me and swing on over here for ANY race as you put it.
Nevermind, I saw one other vid. TT Z nice. The only forced inducted Z any of our crew has raced was a Procharged 350z pushing 380whp. My boy Preston raced him and beat the Z by a car. Preston was pushing 10-11lbs of boost on his tC. I last ran about 12lbs on my tC then sold that kit. Waiting to get a new kit.
You mentioned one vid running 15lbs of boost. Have to have a built motor I presume. We have some tC's in the crew that have built motors and boosted. One is on a stroker kit. Both are undergoing some finishing touches at the shop. One has already had a dyno run of 542whp @ 15lbs (that's the non-stroker one). Forget how much torque, but we make as much torque as we do HP so it's up there as well. I am still pushing a stock motor for now but should be around the neighbor hood of 350-400whp
That was my friend's built SOHC civic that was running 15lbs. I'm on a very conservative 8-9psi tune since I'm still stock block and it's my DD. 542@15psi is pretty impressive. What size turbo is that with?
Oh, gotcha. I misread the title I guess. Oh, I had a typo, the 542 was not at 15lbs. At 15lbs it's 400+on a Mustang Dyno. The 542 I think was more around 20lbs. He runs a GTK 550 turbo. My boy Nick with the BC stroker kit going into his tC runs a GT3582r turbo. My new kit runs a GT3076R turbo. 8-9PSI for you then would be around the 380-400whp mark. So, a race against me or Preston would be a Good one, since I think the TT setup is far superior to the Procharger setup.
AH don't you just hate that? I found that out about my Z too, and it kinda pissed me off. I know someone on My350z was making a prototype module that can be in place and override the function so you can still have the brake lights and be able to brake boost the car without removing the fuse. Of course amongst other things like being able to do a burnout at the track without the aid of a Line Lock.
PTuning is who I'm getting my next turbo kit from. Surprisingly enough though, there are a lot of boosted tC's that go there. Perhaps you can hang around them for a while and maybe you will run into a nice boosted tC that just left their shop for a tune. They have the current Modified FWD class Redline Time Attack champion tC. I'm sure you probably already knew that though since you live close enough. Me, I have to drive 10hrs from TN to get there.
Ya I saw some of the articles about their time attack car when I was there. My buddy is currently getting some upgrades for his MS3 there. Upgraded turbo, turboback exhaust, front mount and meth.
Kool, I have a vid of me racing my friends modded MS3. Tell him to be careful though, those things, from poking around on MS3 forums, have a tendency to go Kaboom.
Ya I saw that vid. My other friend who has a MS6 mentioned them blowing to me too. His current high boost map is at 300 to the wheels and I know he's run that a bunch of times. From what my friend told me around 350 is where your'e really gambling with the motor.
From what I understand, it's something to do with their Fuel system.
What TT kit do you have on the Z? Always wanted to TT my Z, but after seeing the pain of having to take out the motor, my tC is just so much easier to work on, I never bothered pursuing it much.
I've got the greddy kit. It's almost not worth it on the Z except for the fact that I'll never have to change anything on the kit when I can finally build the motor and go for big power. However if had to do it over again I prolly would have decided to mod an Evo or tried alot harder to find a good 03-04 Cobra instead. In the next year I may get some 600cc or bigger injectors and run a 11 or 12psi map for a while. If it blows it blows /shrug
I was going to go with the GReddy kit too. There is one guy here named Tyler with a GReddy TT Z. He has a built bottom end though, runs around 600whp on race gas. He took it to the track on DOT tires and was clicking off high 10s If I recall correctly. I love the Z, wish I had a 370 though...lol. So sexy! Evo...meh...who doesn't have an Evo these days. I have pulled on a few of those in my tC.
I'm hoping to be able to do 550 on pump and somewhere over 600 on pump/meth. I agree alot of people have Evo's but with the money I've put into the Z my Evo would have a built motor and uprgraded turbo prolly.
Yeah I hear ya. Having to basically pull the motor just to install the TT system sitting under it turned me off from TT'ing my Z. I plan on trading it in, but will eventually get another Z. Hopefully one that's already TT'ed. Either that or just wait to see what the Toyota / Subaru car is going to look like and be about.
I'm willing to bet you watched the whole race, and then you left this dumb comment. Second off, I do have TRACK videos fool. Thanks for sharing though...lol
LOL.... Some people. Anyways, not sure if it is the 2L or 2.5 I would guess 2L though. Should a similarly modded WRX like this one, race me now....it would get pulled on pretty hard. Talking about my old turbo kit there. My new one....can't wait to get it.
What happened to your comment. Anyhow, yeah, my last turbo wasn't tuned and I trapped 109mph running 9-10lbs of boost and crappy tires. Trap speed was there, but ET wasn't since I had the crap tires. Now I have motor mounts, LSD, and will run slicks so, looking for a high 11sec pass on the stock motor with about 14lbs of boost and meth (50/50).
i'm thinking on 14lbs you'll hit mid 12's maybe low if you are a really good driver, you only gained at most 40whp from upping the boost and maybe 15-25 from the meth so i am assuming you'll be around 360whp witch in fwd is a solid 12 sec car.... still nothing to snease at lol
In a full weighted car sure mid-low 12's at about 112-117 mph (that's without an LSD that is). 40whp? LOL....If you are talking 360whp on a Dyno Dynamics or Mustang Dyno sure, you know, the "REAL" dynos. But if you are talking Dyno jet....no. Would be around 400whp on a dynojet. I'm not building a drag car so, nothing to get finiky about because you said it was nothing to sneeze at. Not worried about being the fastest drag tC. We already have ones running in the 9's for that.
I have taken much to going through the corners, so I'm setting the car up for Time Attack. Lately been AutoXing every chance I can get, and just waiting for my chance to run Time Attack. In this video, I was only running 7-8lbs of boost. This was the first time ever racing it, and only had it boosted that same day. So, was much a noob to the car and what not. Last boost setting I ran was 12lbs on a 20G turbo. New turbo kit will be 12lbs daily and 14lbs track, on a GT3076R.
I could run 12sec on 10lbs of boost with slicks. So, I'll be happy with low 12's high 11's on a stock motor. When I build it, I'm not shooting for some magical whp number, just an overall balanced car....i.e. tuning, suspension, power, weight, etc... The tC produces a little more tQ than it does HP in most cases. Really love that about these cars. Check out my other vid "Quick Rus". That one is 12lbs of boost.
well i dont know too many stations like that in NY... they will still connect the car to their PC.. and wouldnt the state computer tell then that my exhaust is throwing dirty gasses ?
No, the OBDII scan is to check for codes. It does not read gases. That's what the sniffer in the tail pipe is for. But on newer cars they don't use the sniffer because they can just scan for codes (at least that's how it is here). They suppose to visually check to see if you have a cat or not. They scan my car with the PC as well. But if you don't have a code, there is nothing to fail you on.
Well deep down i now Ultimate is better then FIC especially due to not having any good tuners in NYC for FIC.
Yup my WG is completely open... the reason why i dont want to run open WG is cuz of exhaust gases will be straight to the engine bay and they are extremely hot..
I dont want to have CEL tahts why later on i will weld in high flow cat, would like to pass inspection next year :)
You can get a dump tube to extend the WG down further into the engine bay. That way you dump at the bottom and not into the engine bay. As for the CEL and getting a Cat. I have the anti-fouler mod on my secondary 02 sensor. This will keep you from getting a CEL. But then again that still leaves you with passing inspection. I live in TN, and I go to this one station that can care less about looking for a cat on a new car.
ohh yeah i'm sure i'm gonna love it :) Only thing is , my DP has no dump tube, i guess i have to build one. and later on i will weld in high flow cat and also will install E-cutout.
but the moneyz are very tight now and emanage ultimate is so expensive .. now i'm having thoughts i should have never sold my FIC ..
You DP has no dump tube? You mean for the WG to connect back into? blah...run open wg, so much beefier...lol. My exhaust is straight back, no resonator, no cats. I like it that way. And no, you made the right choice selling the FIC. E-Ultimate > FIC.
Oh nice bro. We have a member in our crew with a Dezod kit. He has the upgraded T.E.A turbo on his. Very nice. You will for sure love Boost...heheh. It's addictive.
thanks for the advice. I've taken that into consideration, but now I have another question for you:
Would it be more cost effective to buy an 08-09 with slightly tweaked power, or to buy an 05, which is much cheaper, and tweak it up? Just a thought. Thanks for replying to me BTW
Well, speaking from that stand point, you will get off cheaper of course for an 05-06, cause it's used. Will save you about $4-$5k. BUT....you will most likely not have an LSD in it, you will have to spend that money on an LSD, which is a little over $1k. Then the install kit another $300, have it installed $500. You can see with just that one mod, you have just made up the price you saved with just one mod.
Hell yeah, the more boosted tC's the better. You should make a little more power out of the 08 to, due to a slight increase in compression for the 07-08 model.
thanks man prisiate that nice ride fast to and how many horses u got under the hood and by the looks of the video you are faster then him righ like if yall wnet more than 100 you would cach him or eaven pass him righ???
Oh for sure. That's what I did to an Evo 9 MR (still on the same settings). It was faster than this WRX trust me. It's in one of my other videos. The MR got the jump, but when we hit 100, my top end put 2 cars on it. Car was untuned too (10's A/F ratio). I have a slightly bigger turbo now, that spools the same as the one in this vid. It will have even more top end.
i got a 2005 tc and i was wondering how much did you pay in total after the instalation and the cluch upgrade like everything in genera how much did it run you
Now that you mention that though, he could have been shutting down cause he thought I might pass him. So, if you shut down, it's a cheap way of saying you won. But we will never know if I would have gained on him past 100mph.
yo dude you got a sick ass tc, i just ordered 550 cc injectors and an AEM fuel ignition controller for mine and im getting ready to order my turbo kit. so just turbo and exhaust is all ill be running so far with fuel management. when you first turboed yours what cars were you easily able to compete with?
All the cars you see in the vids are from when I first turboed it. All the videos I have on here are all from 7 - 8 PSI of boost. I don't have any videos where I'm racing someone with the current PSI the car is on now.
the only thing abou the tc i hate is the top speed and the rpm....but u have to think, its one damn fast camery engine, and lots of people hate it (tc) cuz they get beaten by camery's alot
LOL...I feel ya on that. A lot of hate for the tC, but it's usually coming from people with slow cars. I want to go Standalone ECU (Hydra). The Standalone will be able to raise the rpm, and eliminate the speed cut at 127.
im thinking about getting black rims, but i dont know what kind to get? would you recommend any? i want it to look like the stock rims, but black. i kind of like the rota subzeros
Rota's are pretty popular too. Inexpensive as well, so go for it. I'm partial to sticking to wheels that are light in weight. Light weight wheels are good for racing. The Enikie RPF's are bad arse looking.
Yeah, I find myself having to repeat that over and over to those non-believers. Which is about 85% of the comments I come across on a Scion related video. Don't know what it is, but we sure do have a lot of haters out there.
First off I own a 06wrx, but anyway in the video you can clearly see that if they kept going that the TC would have walked down the wrx after 100. The stock TD04 in the rex has shitty top end. But all the gay ass "brake boosting" talk, the ZPI kit comes with an Evo 16g turbo, technically you should have destroyed the wrx without having to brake boost.
Not if he is brake boosting himself, and all I'm doing is mashing the gas. But that will all change a little for the top end of the car. Going to swap out the 16G for the 20G.
My original plan was to keep the turbine side a 16G and change the compressor to a 20G. After speaking to another guy who had switched to a 20G all around, he said the difference in spool time was unnoticeable. I'm thinking the spool difference is like 200rpm.
definitely swap the whole thing... if you stick with the smaller hot side you'll suffer some top end losses. IF the spool difference is only 200rpms the 20g cold and hotsides are definitely the way to go :)
On the 16G, I believe I was hitting full boost around 25-2600rpm. So, I should still be under 3krpm full boost on the 20G. Top end should be pretty good. This is preliminary stuff until I actually have a built motor in the car someday.
Scion TC's are a terrible car for an enthusiast. Why would you bother when there are so much better platforms out there. They are for people that care about "image" before performance.
You should watch the rest of my vids before making a rather uneducated comment like that. And perhaps you should do a search on Chris Rado and watch their Time Attack tC take cars around the track.
i rlly like the tc and the wrx, i would take either of them any day (i mean to own not race against). but the wrx is faster in the end, but you get what you pay for.
This particular WRX wasn't faster, I just didn't know how to drive my car yet. This was the first ever race I had after being boosted. I have other vids of me killing cars that were 2wice as fast, all without me changing anything on my setup, except the way I drove it.
What do you mean you didn't know how to drive yet? You weren't racing from a dig, you were racing from a 50 roll, all you're doing is mashing the gas. And I watched the "rematch", that wasn't a rematch, that was a different race. When do we get an actual rematch back on 16 psi?
Brake boosting my friend. Makes a good bit of difference then just mashing the gas. I had no idea about it until after this race. I don't even know if the guy has the car anymore. What difference would it make anyway, I have other races against cars that would have walked this Subie at the time.
Ahhh...after looking at your Utube page, it's no wonder you commented on my vid with a bit of skeptisim. You own a WRX. It's ok though, just so you know, I'm faster than a WRX and even an STI. It will take some mods to STI to walk the tC. And even more mods for a regular WRX.
During the mid 13 runs, I was running used up Tires on the stock 17inch rims, 10.0 Flat A/F, 9.5/10 PSI, and a clutch that was about to go. Car now has 11.5-12 PSI, a 6 Puck race clutch, and I'm waiting on a set of 15inch rims for the front to mount a set of NEW Drag Radials or Slicks too.
So, it's safe to say that the car is faster. Even during those mid 13 runs, I was trapping 108-109 mph. Those trap speeds are high 12sec traps. But didn't have the traction to get to high 12's. This time I'm not going to run on shitty tires when I make it back to the track.
what setup is the TC running now? If youve switched to a bigger turbo Im assuming you had to build up the internals maybe? Which is why I prefer a wrx, buy one and just swap out the turbo, injectors and fuel pump and your good to go

@afgandominator PTuning Spec RS turbo system. No, still stock internals. tC's run 350-400whp before needing internals. I'm running 11lbs on a GT3076r Dual BB w/Tial SS housing. Takes a good 400whp Evo or STI to run me in my stock motor turbo tC cause It only weighs 2550lbs right now.

rhythmnsmoke 1 year ago
@rhythmnsmoke yeah i see in 06' lol i had nothing in that year.. still nice car though u had.. ill leave u alone
sctflasher379 1 year ago
@sctflasher379 I still have the car. I Road Race and Time Attack with it now though, not street race. Stopped street racing because it's boring and involves no skills. I wanted to become a better driver, so I got serious with it and started doing some real racing.
rhythmnsmoke 1 year ago
@rhythmnsmoke yo just wondering ... why did you sell you tc.. i wanted to get one but i always see people selling them so quicly... so i wante to get ur feedback...
rep1afG 1 year ago
@rep1afG Sold my 350z. tC has to much work into it, so I will never sell that.
rhythmnsmoke 1 year ago
same here man my tC is going with me until the chasis rust away lol that subie didnt want to go past 100 b/c thats where you started pulling hard
dcin1 1 year ago
ive got a question and please take no offense to it. I was just wondering though since you do all of these upgrades and you race your car and stuff, why did you choose to run with a Scion Tc?
quadupdude 1 year ago
@quadupdude I didn't choose het for racing. She sorta choose me.
rhythmnsmoke 1 year ago
@rhythmnsmoke like how?
quadupdude 1 year ago
@quadupdude Was never my intention to race it or mod to this extent. But when I felt what it was like when turboed, I was instantly hooked. I was one of the very first people to boost one and start getting vids of races. The car just evolved into what it is today. So, I say it choose me since I didn't buy it for this purpose. Now I'm with it for life, as I don't ever see me selling it. I still have more things up my sleeve.

lol ight i have picz of it and some videos but there shitty cell phone vids. or put this on here and is the first vid. "Klan Destino Racing Crew " is the white wrx
turbomen08 2 years ago
Yeah, but can't really tell how much possible power it's making based on a street race with another WRX. Perhaps a 1/4 mile vid would be better since you can see the trap speeds and what not. Otherwise a dyno video.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
i was pushing on my wrx 473whp with just a t4 and a 255 fuel pump i had small as injectors they were 550 and boosting 22psi i know i needed some 1k inj. or bigger but another wrx is coming on the way i want to race u when i finish it..lol
turbomen08 2 years ago
This is the internet, so it's rather difficult to believe anything anyone says....simply because they just say it. Do you have proof? Secondly, I don't race with dyno numbers anyway. I've raced cars with 400+whp and beat them (440whp Procharged Mustang GT, 380whp 300zxTT...etc). But congrats on the dyno numbers. Where you from?
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
im cuban but i live in pr then i came to live here i live in tampa
turbomen08 2 years ago
I go down to FL almost every year. Ocala and St. Pete area, so not that far when I get down to visit.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
wen u gonna come down to the st. pete area? i live next to it in tampa
clone1918 2 years ago
We go down nearly every year around Christmas time. Was just there this past Christmas, but only stayed in Ocala. I do plan on trailering the tC down there for some action. I own a few people a race.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
@rhythmnsmoke let me know when u head to florida ill be glad to go down since ill be turbo by then and meet some of the turbo florida guys hehe
dcin1 1 year ago
@dcin1 I will try and remember to hit you up. I'm bad about remembering things...lol. I think we might be going to NY instead, so might not be this Christmas that we go down.
rhythmnsmoke 1 year ago
how much u boosting now and how is pushing to the wheels??
turbomen08 2 years ago
Just more boost.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
@rhythmnsmoke OMG LMFAO and youve been spewing bullshit all over here about that hunk of sht,,,,,,,,,,!!!!!!13.5!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMFao im done with you you are the winner of idiot of the year in your 13 second bucket of wasted cash
illeagleracing 2 years ago
Are you a moron or are you a moron? That was fucking 3 years ago dumbass. Don't come spamming on my shit jumping into old as conversations and act like you know what the hell you talking about. 13.5 was on fucking street tires for one, with the clutch slipping and STILL trapping at 109mph. If you know anything about drag racing then you would know that 109mph is a 12sec trapspeed. And that was on low boost with a small as 16G turbo. So, the next time you spout off, come correct.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
@rhythmnsmoke God your a certified moron. You were just talking loads of sht about that rag lmfao. I wont post vids on this stupid sht for my ego but i will put 10k on the table that my cheap ass dsm talon will whip your pimpled ass in any race you want to run. 10k and ill come to florida, im in NC so its no problem son. I just want to prove a point and for that matter bring any other street tc you thinks fast and they can try the foxbody that you think is so outdated. Im waiting,,,,,,,,,,

@illeagleracing First off, I live in TN so even closer. Two I'm not going to bother responding to the rest of your babble on the other video, and leave you with this....Any time you are ready, you can message me and swing on over here for ANY race as you put it.

if my old subie was there i would beat the shit out of that tc..subies are the best but this one is slow
turbomen08 2 years ago
This vid is about 3 years old. I've raced cars 2 and 3 times faster than this Subie, so don't be to sure about that. That's old boost settings man.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
Is the motor stil stock?
Spinin4 2 years ago
My motor? Yeah still stock. Wish was built but not yet. All my vids are with a stock motor. We get about 350-400whp before needing internals.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
I wish there were some turbo TC's around me to run. Think they'd be pretty interesting.
Spinin4 2 years ago
Against the 350z? I own a 350z as well as my turbo tC. What's done to your Z? Year?
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
Nevermind, I saw one other vid. TT Z nice. The only forced inducted Z any of our crew has raced was a Procharged 350z pushing 380whp. My boy Preston raced him and beat the Z by a car. Preston was pushing 10-11lbs of boost on his tC. I last ran about 12lbs on my tC then sold that kit. Waiting to get a new kit.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
You mentioned one vid running 15lbs of boost. Have to have a built motor I presume. We have some tC's in the crew that have built motors and boosted. One is on a stroker kit. Both are undergoing some finishing touches at the shop. One has already had a dyno run of 542whp @ 15lbs (that's the non-stroker one). Forget how much torque, but we make as much torque as we do HP so it's up there as well. I am still pushing a stock motor for now but should be around the neighbor hood of 350-400whp
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
That was my friend's built SOHC civic that was running 15lbs. I'm on a very conservative 8-9psi tune since I'm still stock block and it's my DD. 542@15psi is pretty impressive. What size turbo is that with?
Spinin4 2 years ago
So, a race against me or Preston would be a Good one, since I think the TT setup is far superior to the Procharger setup.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
Ya they would be good runs I think. I'd prolly have to pull my brake fuse and brake boost too.
Spinin4 2 years ago
AH don't you just hate that? I found that out about my Z too, and it kinda pissed me off. I know someone on My350z was making a prototype module that can be in place and override the function so you can still have the brake lights and be able to brake boost the car without removing the fuse. Of course amongst other things like being able to do a burnout at the track without the aid of a Line Lock.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
I googled Drift Nirvana, that's near Summit Point right? Have you heard of PTuning?
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
Drift Nirvana is at Summit every month. I actually got my coilovers installed at PTuning.
Spinin4 2 years ago
PTuning is who I'm getting my next turbo kit from. Surprisingly enough though, there are a lot of boosted tC's that go there. Perhaps you can hang around them for a while and maybe you will run into a nice boosted tC that just left their shop for a tune. They have the current Modified FWD class Redline Time Attack champion tC. I'm sure you probably already knew that though since you live close enough. Me, I have to drive 10hrs from TN to get there.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
Ya I saw some of the articles about their time attack car when I was there. My buddy is currently getting some upgrades for his MS3 there. Upgraded turbo, turboback exhaust, front mount and meth.
Spinin4 2 years ago
Kool, I have a vid of me racing my friends modded MS3. Tell him to be careful though, those things, from poking around on MS3 forums, have a tendency to go Kaboom.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
Ya I saw that vid. My other friend who has a MS6 mentioned them blowing to me too. His current high boost map is at 300 to the wheels and I know he's run that a bunch of times. From what my friend told me around 350 is where your'e really gambling with the motor.
Spinin4 2 years ago
From what I understand, it's something to do with their Fuel system.
What TT kit do you have on the Z? Always wanted to TT my Z, but after seeing the pain of having to take out the motor, my tC is just so much easier to work on, I never bothered pursuing it much.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
I've got the greddy kit. It's almost not worth it on the Z except for the fact that I'll never have to change anything on the kit when I can finally build the motor and go for big power. However if had to do it over again I prolly would have decided to mod an Evo or tried alot harder to find a good 03-04 Cobra instead. In the next year I may get some 600cc or bigger injectors and run a 11 or 12psi map for a while. If it blows it blows /shrug
Spinin4 2 years ago
I was going to go with the GReddy kit too. There is one guy here named Tyler with a GReddy TT Z. He has a built bottom end though, runs around 600whp on race gas. He took it to the track on DOT tires and was clicking off high 10s If I recall correctly. I love the Z, wish I had a 370 though...lol. So sexy! Evo...meh...who doesn't have an Evo these days. I have pulled on a few of those in my tC.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
I'm hoping to be able to do 550 on pump and somewhere over 600 on pump/meth. I agree alot of people have Evo's but with the money I've put into the Z my Evo would have a built motor and uprgraded turbo prolly.
Spinin4 2 years ago
Yeah I hear ya. Having to basically pull the motor just to install the TT system sitting under it turned me off from TT'ing my Z. I plan on trading it in, but will eventually get another Z. Hopefully one that's already TT'ed. Either that or just wait to see what the Toyota / Subaru car is going to look like and be about.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago

widowedeight 2 years ago
LOL.... Some people. Anyways, not sure if it is the 2L or 2.5 I would guess 2L though. Should a similarly modded WRX like this one, race me now....it would get pulled on pretty hard. Talking about my old turbo kit there. My new one....can't wait to get it.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago

widowedeight 2 years ago
What happened to your comment. Anyhow, yeah, my last turbo wasn't tuned and I trapped 109mph running 9-10lbs of boost and crappy tires. Trap speed was there, but ET wasn't since I had the crap tires. Now I have motor mounts, LSD, and will run slicks so, looking for a high 11sec pass on the stock motor with about 14lbs of boost and meth (50/50).
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
i'm thinking on 14lbs you'll hit mid 12's maybe low if you are a really good driver, you only gained at most 40whp from upping the boost and maybe 15-25 from the meth so i am assuming you'll be around 360whp witch in fwd is a solid 12 sec car.... still nothing to snease at lol
widowedeight 2 years ago
In a full weighted car sure mid-low 12's at about 112-117 mph (that's without an LSD that is). 40whp? LOL....If you are talking 360whp on a Dyno Dynamics or Mustang Dyno sure, you know, the "REAL" dynos. But if you are talking Dyno jet....no. Would be around 400whp on a dynojet. I'm not building a drag car so, nothing to get finiky about because you said it was nothing to sneeze at. Not worried about being the fastest drag tC. We already have ones running in the 9's for that.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
I have taken much to going through the corners, so I'm setting the car up for Time Attack. Lately been AutoXing every chance I can get, and just waiting for my chance to run Time Attack. In this video, I was only running 7-8lbs of boost. This was the first time ever racing it, and only had it boosted that same day. So, was much a noob to the car and what not. Last boost setting I ran was 12lbs on a 20G turbo. New turbo kit will be 12lbs daily and 14lbs track, on a GT3076R.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
I could run 12sec on 10lbs of boost with slicks. So, I'll be happy with low 12's high 11's on a stock motor. When I build it, I'm not shooting for some magical whp number, just an overall balanced car....i.e. tuning, suspension, power, weight, etc... The tC produces a little more tQ than it does HP in most cases. Really love that about these cars. Check out my other vid "Quick Rus". That one is 12lbs of boost.
rhythmnsmoke 2 years ago
I mean "Quick Runs".

elsanchokaki 2 years ago
well i dont know too many stations like that in NY... they will still connect the car to their PC.. and wouldnt the state computer tell then that my exhaust is throwing dirty gasses ?
RusWolff 3 years ago
No, the OBDII scan is to check for codes. It does not read gases. That's what the sniffer in the tail pipe is for. But on newer cars they don't use the sniffer because they can just scan for codes (at least that's how it is here). They suppose to visually check to see if you have a cat or not. They scan my car with the PC as well. But if you don't have a code, there is nothing to fail you on.
rhythmnsmoke 3 years ago
Well deep down i now Ultimate is better then FIC especially due to not having any good tuners in NYC for FIC.
Yup my WG is completely open... the reason why i dont want to run open WG is cuz of exhaust gases will be straight to the engine bay and they are extremely hot..
I dont want to have CEL tahts why later on i will weld in high flow cat, would like to pass inspection next year :)
RusWolff 3 years ago
You can get a dump tube to extend the WG down further into the engine bay. That way you dump at the bottom and not into the engine bay. As for the CEL and getting a Cat. I have the anti-fouler mod on my secondary 02 sensor. This will keep you from getting a CEL. But then again that still leaves you with passing inspection. I live in TN, and I go to this one station that can care less about looking for a cat on a new car.
rhythmnsmoke 3 years ago
ohh yeah i'm sure i'm gonna love it :) Only thing is , my DP has no dump tube, i guess i have to build one. and later on i will weld in high flow cat and also will install E-cutout.
but the moneyz are very tight now and emanage ultimate is so expensive .. now i'm having thoughts i should have never sold my FIC ..
RusWolff 3 years ago
You DP has no dump tube? You mean for the WG to connect back into? blah...run open wg, so much beefier...lol. My exhaust is straight back, no resonator, no cats. I like it that way. And no, you made the right choice selling the FIC. E-Ultimate > FIC.
rhythmnsmoke 3 years ago
Nice video.
I have my Dezod S1 sitting right in front of me :)
Still in search for emanage ultimate and harness and i'm all done. injectors came in yestarday, gauges will be here next week.
and then september here is come, boosted R.S. 3.0

rhythmnsmoke 3 years ago
hey i like your vids bud.
I have a question though, I'm very interested in a tC, and wanted to know which of the models was best geared for performance, 05-09?
tzraven87 3 years ago
I would have to say get an 08-09 model (not because the 05-06 is geared for less performance), but for these two reasons.
1) Now if you buy a tC, you can get the TRD LSD as a factory option into your payment.
2) The 08-09 tC have a slightly tweaked motor so they squeeze out a few more ponies to the ground. They put out a little more power also when boosted.
rhythmnsmoke 3 years ago
thanks for the advice. I've taken that into consideration, but now I have another question for you:
Would it be more cost effective to buy an 08-09 with slightly tweaked power, or to buy an 05, which is much cheaper, and tweak it up? Just a thought. Thanks for replying to me BTW
tzraven87 3 years ago
Well, speaking from that stand point, you will get off cheaper of course for an 05-06, cause it's used. Will save you about $4-$5k. BUT....you will most likely not have an LSD in it, you will have to spend that money on an LSD, which is a little over $1k. Then the install kit another $300, have it installed $500. You can see with just that one mod, you have just made up the price you saved with just one mod.
rhythmnsmoke 3 years ago
So depending on your goals it's really not that much cost savings when you start factoring in mods.
rhythmnsmoke 3 years ago
lol wrx ! luv ur tc i have a 08 also going turbo soon
wildscionkidtc 3 years ago
Hell yeah, the more boosted tC's the better. You should make a little more power out of the 08 to, due to a slight increase in compression for the 07-08 model.
rhythmnsmoke 3 years ago
Closed course? Right, then what's that big rig doing there? Take it to a track so you can take the WRX from a dig. Street racers = fail.

fastjebac 3 years ago
Oh for sure. That's what I did to an Evo 9 MR (still on the same settings). It was faster than this WRX trust me. It's in one of my other videos. The MR got the jump, but when we hit 100, my top end put 2 cars on it. Car was untuned too (10's A/F ratio). I have a slightly bigger turbo now, that spools the same as the one in this vid. It will have even more top end.
rhythmnsmoke 3 years ago
thanks man prisiate that nice ride fast to
fastjebac 3 years ago
i got a 2005 tc and i was wondering how much did you pay in total after the instalation and the cluch upgrade like everything in genera how much did it run you
fastjebac 3 years ago
You are looking between $5-8k for everything....labor, clutch, gauges, kit, tune...etc.
rhythmnsmoke 3 years ago
yeah i see once you catch his pace he lets off.
BurninRbr 4 years ago
I never noticed this until you asked that question...hehee.
rhythmnsmoke 4 years ago
why is it shutting down
BurninRbr 4 years ago
It seemed like he let off, so I did after that. Shutting down is just saying that I let off the gas after reaching a certain mph.
rhythmnsmoke 4 years ago
Now that you mention that though, he could have been shutting down cause he thought I might pass him. So, if you shut down, it's a cheap way of saying you won. But we will never know if I would have gained on him past 100mph.
rhythmnsmoke 4 years ago
yo dude you got a sick ass tc, i just ordered 550 cc injectors and an AEM fuel ignition controller for mine and im getting ready to order my turbo kit. so just turbo and exhaust is all ill be running so far with fuel management. when you first turboed yours what cars were you easily able to compete with?
schmalolz 4 years ago
All the cars you see in the vids are from when I first turboed it. All the videos I have on here are all from 7 - 8 PSI of boost. I don't have any videos where I'm racing someone with the current PSI the car is on now.
rhythmnsmoke 4 years ago
the only thing abou the tc i hate is the top speed and the rpm....but u have to think, its one damn fast camery engine, and lots of people hate it (tc) cuz they get beaten by camery's alot
xiongboon 4 years ago
LOL...I feel ya on that. A lot of hate for the tC, but it's usually coming from people with slow cars. I want to go Standalone ECU (Hydra). The Standalone will be able to raise the rpm, and eliminate the speed cut at 127.
rhythmnsmoke 4 years ago
what do you guys think about the new 2008 lancer evolution GSR? my friend is getting it and i want to race him and beat him
clumzyx1 4 years ago
im thinking about getting black rims, but i dont know what kind to get? would you recommend any? i want it to look like the stock rims, but black. i kind of like the rota subzeros
clumzyx1 4 years ago
Rota's are pretty popular too. Inexpensive as well, so go for it. I'm partial to sticking to wheels that are light in weight. Light weight wheels are good for racing. The Enikie RPF's are bad arse looking.
rhythmnsmoke 4 years ago
whats a good body kit to get on a tc?
clumzyx1 4 years ago
Lip kits for me. I haven't seen any body kits to go on a tC that kept it's smooth lines in the car.
rhythmnsmoke 4 years ago
both cars are really nice... i love the bugeye subie, just that new subies are just overpriced.
jyamazak 4 years ago
That's pretty good for a turbo tC...capable of keeping up with a non-stock WRX.
Scions are great cars for the price.
FOOSAG 4 years ago
Yeah, I find myself having to repeat that over and over to those non-believers. Which is about 85% of the comments I come across on a Scion related video. Don't know what it is, but we sure do have a lot of haters out there.
rhythmnsmoke 4 years ago
lol all closed course races. i saw other cars in the vid lol! Nice rides tho cant go wrong with the subie awd ftw!!!
8703710 4 years ago
Those other cars were stunt drivers....LOL.
Subie is nice, AWD though does better when it's from a dig.
rhythmnsmoke 4 years ago
what exactly do you do to brake boost?
schmalolz 4 years ago
I have a brake boosting vid. Check it out.
rhythmnsmoke 4 years ago
Nice ride dude. I'm glad to see something thats fast in the streets that can beat or keep up with big boy cars.
Is3Abe 4 years ago
First off I own a 06wrx, but anyway in the video you can clearly see that if they kept going that the TC would have walked down the wrx after 100. The stock TD04 in the rex has shitty top end. But all the gay ass "brake boosting" talk, the ZPI kit comes with an Evo 16g turbo, technically you should have destroyed the wrx without having to brake boost.
DeadrickP 4 years ago
Not if he is brake boosting himself, and all I'm doing is mashing the gas. But that will all change a little for the top end of the car. Going to swap out the 16G for the 20G.
rhythmnsmoke 4 years ago
If you swap in a 20g, that thing will own everything under the sun, only drawback is the spool time,
DeadrickP 4 years ago
My original plan was to keep the turbine side a 16G and change the compressor to a 20G. After speaking to another guy who had switched to a 20G all around, he said the difference in spool time was unnoticeable. I'm thinking the spool difference is like 200rpm.
rhythmnsmoke 4 years ago
definitely swap the whole thing... if you stick with the smaller hot side you'll suffer some top end losses. IF the spool difference is only 200rpms the 20g cold and hotsides are definitely the way to go :)
huckster107 4 years ago
On the 16G, I believe I was hitting full boost around 25-2600rpm. So, I should still be under 3krpm full boost on the 20G. Top end should be pretty good. This is preliminary stuff until I actually have a built motor in the car someday.
rhythmnsmoke 4 years ago
yeah top end is gonna kill,
DeadrickP 4 years ago
Hope so....hehee.
rhythmnsmoke 4 years ago

my moms car can own both of your guy's cars no offense, he car at WOT can get 4.5 seconds from 0 to 60.

That's good buddy. So, you only race to 60mph huh? What car does your "mom" have?

lol, your moms car XD

Are you still running mid to high 13's in the 1/4?
maprecio 4 years ago

That's a lot of answer for a simple question.
