if it is a fly larva it only needs one host, then it becomes a fly so it doesn't need to trick anything into eating it, it lays its eggs on smaller flies which then drop the eggs on you, there's a few bot fly vids on you tube that show what they do

You better get your cat checked and make sure it doesn't have worms. I heard about this botfly larva. It infects the rat and tries to get the rat to get eaten by the cat so it can effect's it's host.

@kirox777 their are actually certain larva's that can survive in our body wants put in their. I'm not a scientist so I can't really explain it well, but that's why humans can also have worms in their systems. In fact one of my dad's friends never gained weight and my dad asked him one day on why, well appearently the guy had a woman in his system and they had to wait till the worm got to a certain weight point before they could take out the worm.
