  • I remember the young days when my family would go to a concert with the statesman, the blackwoods and the spears......I learned to play piano, sing and praise the lord while in my 20s.....I am 73 and have no regrets.....still love to sing and listen to my favorites.....Can't wait to see them again, and sing with my brother who is waiting for me......I love My lord for he has been good to me.

  • The most most beautiful Christian song of God's songs as I have every head.Gwen Weaver

  • I remember going to memorial hall to see the spears, and the blackwoods and statesmen quartets....I played piano for a quartet in Ohio during the 60s and i also did solos as well....no recordings but i just loved all these things i did.....much younger then.....I am now 73 and still sing sometime. My voice is not what it used to be,but i always pray while i'm singing.

  • How anyone's heart can't be touched by the emotions in this room, is beyond me. Everytime I see this video it brings tears to my eyes. You can just feel the love for this man when he sings this song.

  • I not only like this I LOVE this what a great voice by Dean Brown, but what a huge voice of Rozie, he will be missed but he is singing in that angel band up on high and one day we will hear it again!

  • This is SO moving. When Rozie sang his familiar "On Calvary' part. Dean about lost it.

  • This song means a lot to me. The first time I heard this song I cried. I just wish I could have heard him sing it in person. God bless Rosie Rozell.

  • What a blessing to see my dear friend and former choir director, Rozie Rozelle, sing this glorious song for the last time in public! I think of Rozie so very often as I listen to the old songs we all love so much. Thank you for posting this video. I will contact some of the folks who were in the Huffman Assembly of God choir and tell them to save this video when we want to see and hear a true annointed voice singing for the glory of God!

  • GOD BLESS YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! Rozie was my choir director and friend back in late 70's at Huffman Assembly of God in Bham., AL. What a wonderful singer, a true love for Jesus, and a big ole Teddy Bear! He used to tell us to pray he would stay sanctified during choir practice...he was TOUGH but we were an annointed, Spirit-filled choir that loved the Lord, and our ministry was to glorify Him and help win lost souls to Glory. I'll sing with Rozie again! Praise the name of Jesus!

  • WONDERFUL message. I love it!!

  • how can you not be moved to tears when you see this clip... what an awesome touching moment when dean looks at rosie singing. its like icing on cake with ice cream to go with it for me.

  • He was such a blessing. Long live Southern gospel music!

  • I was a kid, maybe 16 or 17, first time I heard the Blackwood Bros. & the Statesmen in concert. Their music blessed my life.

I'm now 73, and so many of my musical heros have gone over. I long for that day when AI can join them singing and playing for the angels to glorify our Lord.

  • You can see what a powerful moment that was for Mr. Brown. I felt the power of it myself. Thanks for posting this. I have been aquainting myself with the Statesmen Quartet here on YouTube. The Big Chief person, in his day, could have been a matinee idol equivalent to Elvis. He was good looking and talented. Yet, he chose to honor God. Mr. Rozell is a great tenor.. he used his talents to honor God as well..

  • I still love this video...

  • priceless moments with rosie rozell

  • I can't help but get all choked up everytime I see this

  • Rosie was 1 of a kind

  • can you please add Conrad CooK

  • Rosie taught us how to sing it. Thank you Lord for him.

  • I will never forget the very first time I saw this. It is as moving now as it was then.

  • this was when the "homecoming videos" were great.. they were in it for the right reason.

    it was anoited!

    now it's a money deal.

and all the good ones are gone and passed.

No one could sing this like ROSIE!

I'm weeping even watching this now..

  • it is still very annoited, and it's not about the money. we must be watching different videos

  • @hoover4000 ...no....the videos are not the same, not near as good or spirit filled. gospel singing is not what it used to be.

  • @mdministries AMEN!...The spirit fllled singers are mostly gone. it's not the same nor near as good.

  • Rosie Rozell Sings "There's Room at the Cross for You" on another Gaither Video that was taped at the same time as this one. Can't think of the name of that Gaither Series Video right now. That is one of my favorite moments on a Gaither video. If you have that one Hoover, maybe you can post it for all the Rosie fans...He was one of a kind!!

  • Thank you Hoover for my favoritee tenor of all time and a personal friend, Rosie.

  • Rosie Rozell a great gospel tenor......This a REAL tenor. I saw Rosie Rozell sing in person when I was just a kid......I knew that was real singing back then........a real voice,,annointed.

  • Dean was paying tribute to Roland Rozzel, the best!

  • sogospellover...........I wasn't fortunate enought to know of Rosie Rozell for a great number of years, but oh how I love him now. I love me message of this song.

  • Being in Tulsa, OK - I rember when Rosie was a Tulsa policeman before pursuing his musical career fulltime....

  • Rosie was always one of the greatest!!!

  • Wow...I had been thinking about this clip, but I couldn't remember the name of Rosie Rozell. I'm so glad I stumbled across it. Thanks!
