Why couldn't they make more instrumentals like Inn I Evighetens Morke part I? That song was written when they were 15-16 years old and it's better than all instrumentals I've heard, just as good as perfection or vanity.

just cuz it's black metal doesn't mean they can't be unique. the only problem is, by the time they had Vortex they were already too far off from their original style.

I'm fine with it being unique, as long as it's done in a way that keeps them interesting. I think they at least managed that up to P.E.M., despite everyone thinking they lost all of their uniquesness after Enthrone Darkness Triumphant.

well they still are pretty unique. they just sound shitty now. and honestly i think that Spiritual Black Dimensions just sucked except for the Insight and the Catharsis. but Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia and Death Cult Armageddon more than made up for it. And In Sorte Diaboli... just sucked.
