amazing looking fish, but that's an oranda. when i got my first oranda and didn't know much about goldfish, i thought i was a lionhead, too!

Yup agree those are oranda's it took me four years to find lionheads from a good breeder, now liven out their life in a pond.

have you got those in warm water? keeping them in warm water will shorten their life span...they are "cold" water fish....not tropical...

Sorry to break it to ya, but thats and Orands goldfish, lionheads don't have dorsalfins.

yes that is an oranda, actually lionheads are as easy to find as oranda, Ranchu is hard tho :)

Can some one please tell me if all lion heads have raspberry like growths on their head. I bought two today, neither have the growths? but they are lion heads.

It can take up to 3 years after birth for the things on there head to grow, so yours are still young. =)

That's not a Lionhead Goldfish. It's a Red Oranda Goldfish. I still like the big guy!!! CUTE!!!!!!!

Lionheads don't have a dorsal fin mate. That looks like an Oranda with a non-standard wen. very nice all the same but not a lionhead :)
