Patrick is NOT singing out of tune. I (I know it's kinda sad) counted every note he sung outta tune...I counted 3 notes out of the hundreds that he sung...that's not many AT ALL. The reason he sounds different live (not THAT different, I might add)is because when recording, u don't need 2 put much power in2 ur voice.

as a musician myself i'll tell you the general consensus is that you can get away with a little suckage live. i mean no one says "alright lets go half ass it" but it is nearly impossible to sound as good live as in the studio, and honestly i do not go to a show to hear a louder version of the cd. i don't think the vocals suck they are just all that he can manage while still playing everything etc. it is tough to keep your voice through a whole set, and play guitar during it. just sayin.

A little disappointed in Patricks voice live. I loved all their records, mostly because of how powerful his voice was. After seeing numerous youtube videos of them, I've yet to come across a live performance of them where his voice impressed me. He has such a weak voice. So...their producer must realize that, and tweak the hell out of his voice in the studio. That's the only conclusion I can come to. No way in hell you can compare his studio voice to his live voice.
