People seem to be arguing about Stewart Lee being better than Sean Lock and dismissing Lock altogether. But real fans of Stewart Lee would know that he is in fact a big fan of Sean Lock and claims that one of his favourite pieces of comedy is a joke of Sean Lock's.
The things I value appear abundantly in Lee's work so I prefer him to Lock. Things I value also appear in Lock's work so I enjoy him also. I value many things and not one entity can exhibit all of them. But many can exhibit some. So I can enjoy many comedians.
Some people supremely favor one entity and align their values with those exhibited by the entity, disregarding all others. The things they value never develop but re-align to those they favor most recently. These people are narrow minded.
